  • are the fans of this case loud ?? or silent

  • This or HAF 922? I need opinions.

    Or maybe some third case?

  • @toncheky the Thermaltake Element G is my favourite case because the big fans ;)

but thee haf 922 is also an good case but i will prefer the Thermaltake Element G

i hope i can help you

  • now, i have this case and im considering getting the corsair H80, do you think this case would fit it? Plz Replay thanks!

  • Comment removed

  • this.... is a... kick assss.... case

  • This might be a dumb question on my part, but I'm kinda perplexed as to why the drive bay is sideways instead of inline... looks like the sata wires and stuff would come out the right side, how much room is there inside? Enough that the ends of the cords don't bump against the insides? I'd be a little bit scared of them being bumped and breaking.

  • Didn't anyone else notice the I/O shield molded into the back of the case? what if the motherboard that you have, it's connections that get placed through the I/O sheild don't match up? they have a default layout molded into the case which sure wouldn't fit all motherboard layouts?

  • @IrishTeddi I have this case, the I/O shield isn't molded into the back of the case, you can pop it off just like any I/O shield.

  • are those punch out pcie slots?

  • I am thinking of getting one of these but i care a lot about heat, arent the fans a little too slow to have an efficient cooling? 800rpm seems fairly slow

  • @ImunityPT123 large fans turn slower but push larger amounts of air per revolution. That's the whole point of having large fans. They make cases much quieter. If they were all crappy old 80 millimeter fans turning at 2800 rpm, you'd have something that sounds more like a dustbuster.

  • could i mount h60 on the back of the case ???

  • Can you flip the side fan so that it blows out the air instead?

  • does the side have a dustfilter?

  • Does it fit a ASUS HD6870? Also are these pc specs good? HD 6870 1gb DDR5 Core i5 760 8gb Kingston Memory 1TB Samsung 650W power suplie Gigabyte Motherbord Really need to know guys, cause ima go buy this PC Chill
  • @iunrealxhd Thanks mate

  • Would this case fit 2x gtx 570 in sli?

    Thanks ;)

  • i have this case. the side fan catches alot of dust. i would HIGHLY recommend two speedy 60mm fans for the back too.

  • damn good case but its too small to fit my vid card

  • the case are perfect

  • @mgs1910markus

I thought so aswell except it is too small to fit my ATI 6950 and no dust filter on that 230mm side intake :(

  • @3DGAMEMAN do you think this case fits a Crosshair IV Extreme? Also, great review.

  • HOW MUTCH IS THIS CASE IN RANDS?

  • Is the PSU in the case upsidedown mountable?

    (Fan Facing towards CPU)

  • @pipinhot2 Since the PSU is on the bottom its going to face up anyway the fan is on the top on all the ones I have seen.

  • @Ramboy208 not for portability :U

  • Just won this case from the Black Ops event held recently.. waiting for it's arrival!

  • Beautiful review... wow... are you working for Thermaltake!? :D

  • @3DGAMEMAN

Is this Case COMPLETELY Tool Free? or will u need a screwdriver.

  • Is it enough space in this case for a Cooler Master V8 and a motherbord MB Asus Crosshair - IV - Formula?

  • Comment removed

  • Which one is better, Antec 902 or this one?:-)

  • IM BUYING THIS MOTHA&%@$!~~..>_>

  • @MJ4everTheKing i can see why you bought this case, i bet ithas great airflow and even with the fans at max the fans aren't that loud, and definitely not as loud as an alienware :p

  • @loller5412 yeah idd. I have it, and it looks and performs great. exelent price/performance

  • 1:19 ahahah thats a face

  • @acogscopepwn jajajajajajajjaa it´s a happy face jajaja

  • 1:21 ahahahhahah thats a face >:)

  • this is a damn good case, i have it myselfe and works fine, and the hhd cage can be removed, but the prossesor hole is a little bit small, if your going to chnage the coller on the prossesor, you have to take the motherboard out of the case, and i got gaiward GTX 460 and there is a lot of room to work with

  • me,im getting my gtx 295 gcard

  • im getting this case with my new Veloce i7-870 GTX470 from dinopc.com

  • Can sapphire radeon 6870 fit in this case?

  • @skela961 It should, I was going to ask that myself, but in another video a guy said it said it can fit up to 10.5 inches of space for a graphics card. so there is no knowing untill you try it.

  • @skela961 4:23 shows it, but its a tight fit :) i am thinking about buying that card myself.

  • Aren't that the wrong dimensions in the start of the video?

    According to thermaltake it's 480 (H) x 230(W) x 521(L)

  • i want to have this case!

  • whats the point to have dust filter on the front if there is no dust filter on the side ¿? =/

  • @tequilaburp

only intake fans should have a dust filter at all times, for as far i know the optional side fan is exhaust

  • i dont care for the red on the sides of the case

  • No people, it cannot fit the 5970. The 5970 is 11.5" Length wise and this case, as he said, can fit a maximum of 10.5".

  • @brandester32

The HDD cage is removable, so you CAN fit an HD 5970.

  • Only one expansion slot is ventelated? why..? lol

  • element V FTW.

  • For all of u guys who want to put a Fan Controller in this case, it's not gonna work cause the 3 led fans are already connect to the fan controller that is on the top of the case! Already tried it.

  • those fans are so sexy

  • Love the video! But 1 question, can the case have a fan controller? Cause the lights change with the built in ones but would it still work with a fan controller?

  • This is like the only case from thermaltake that doesn´t look like shit!

  • @Nefus1988 True.

  • i ordered the element S, thats also a nice one.

  • Just ordered should be here on Saturday, Yeah.

  • This is pissing me off, why don't they have filters for all the in take fans!!!!!

You have a huge opening on the side which will make a huge mess (dust wise) inside the case. FFS Tt, make some sense!

  • TY so much 3DGAMEMAN i will buy now this pc case

  • i just got it last night for $80 this guy sold it to me off of craigslist and it was brand new also the box wasn't even opened it was like Christmas during summer~....~!!

  • i dont understand why they offer a 600 rpm option for the fans. i guarantee you can barrley, if at all, hear the difference. and if you can its probably still quieter than your video card

  • Kick Ass approved.

    /me goes to newegg.com

    FUCK IM POOR> >.<

  • 1:56

Doens´t that mesh on the side panel keep dust away? I mean the mesh looks very dense.

  • Will a 5870 or gtx 480 fit in this????? That's kind of a must for me :/

If not, I think i'll go with the nzxt tempest evo :)

  • @OnTheL1ne

yes, my GTX 480 fits perfectly on Element G case

  • @inixi8ocelot Thank you!

  • @inixi8ocelot does it keep it "cool" lol i know 480s arent that cool, but you never know becuae my gtx470 is really cool running in my v9 black edition. im upgrading my system to another gtx470, this case (maybe), and much more. do you think itll keep 2 gtx470s cool?

  • @OnTheL1ne Hi i have the case and am currently running a 9800gx2 in it which is about 10in long and on the manual it says the max support for video graphic cards cannot excede over 11.1 in so aslong as your card is not longer than your ruler it should be fine.

  • I bought this case on sale at Fry's and I have been more than happy with it.

  • i like to think the "G" stands for "gangster"

  • ok, i'm gonna buy this one!

  • I bought this in a bundle with Starcraft 2 for 110$ :D

  • @MagusGod where?

  • @gamingguy1995 Newegg bro, it's a bundle deal. Go for it! :D

  • I just bought the case, 5 seconds ago. :)

  • COLOR CHANGE led ! SO COOL u know we can download this videos free lol with utube to mp4 lol

  • why all good cases have power button at the top? I think the power button shouldn't be at the top. if you have pet or kid you know why.

  • lol, i just learned about several features my element g case has, that i didn't known about even though i have it for like 3 months now.

  • start doing PSU and Motherboard reviews... seriously its starting to get stupid now.

  • @LFCforEver12341 Agree. The cases are nice and all but it's kind of depressing to click on one of his videos and always hear "Hello again I'm Rodney Reynolds and welcome to another video review. Today we'll be looking at the blablabla case"

  • will this case fit an 11.5 inch 5830?

  • @Pucker7 if you would of watched the video it would of shown that it will not fit 11.5inch cards...

  • @Pucker7 Even though you can not fit 11.5 inch drives but only 10.5 but you can remove the HDD cage and get enough room and place the hdd in the 5.25 drive bay with an adapter but perhaps a full tower is best for you.

  • @Pucker7 11.5 inch 5830 ?

  • Can I use additional fan controller like NZXT Sentry 2 in this case ?

  • No fan filters on the intake is a nogo for me. A 200mm side fan which is the ONLY intake, blowing dust RIGHT ON my motherboard and video card? Come on now.

  • Has anybody tried to pull off the front panel to the Element G while the computer is running? I did, and now the fan led lights are out of sync, the big side fan is now in the alternating color mode, the top exhaust fan is showing red and the front fan is showing red. I've read about this only somebody said they just removed the side door to cause this but no cure for it. Anybody know the cure?

  • can this fit a 5870...plz reply

  • @HaHEa1

From what I've gathered, NO this cannot fit the 5870. In this review the guy says this case will fit all 10.5inch video cards. I looked it up and the 5870 is 11.1inch long.

  • NEED WINDOW!

  • I just recently purchased this case and it's by far the best case i've ever gotten my hands on. The Cable manage was a huge plus especially with those sometimes bulky PSU cables, and the Unit itself always has a Cool internal Temp and is very Quiet. I would Def recommend this case to anyone

  • i just bought the thermaltake element g and i was wondering what should i put in it to make it a decent tower at an inexpencive price if you could put all the parts that would be a good compliment to the case with out a waste of fan usage and a pocket emptying price please let me know.

  • can this fit a 5970

  • i wonder if you could take the dust filter from the power supply thing and like, cut it up and somehow put it in the side panel instead. Do you think it would be big enough?

  • Looks a little fancy for my taste. I like something simpler. Good review though.

  • .... It's me or this man copied the same explanation of the element S ?

  • My hot russian review Thermaltake V5 Black Edition

    watch?v=K7TxQ4Fg3F4

  • love the black interior

  • this is what im gonna get next week for my i7 motherboard and cpu

  • need side panel windows!

  • @madzane94 I agree. Thinking of trying to find another side cover and modding it.

  • For the Corsair H50, it is recommend to instal it with the 120 mm fan blowing fresh air from outside to the inside of the case. Does it ruin the airflow of the Thermaltake Element G?

  • It ruins the air flow of just about any case. It's silly.

  • Haha , lol , i wonder where im gonna buy 60mm fans xD

Finding a 90mm fan is also a pain staking job

  • the mortherboard tray is not removable

  • the motherboard tray is not removable

  • it can hold (2) ssd 2.5 inch not just one

  • I just bought this case. Gonna house my Radeon 5850/Phenom 965 Black system.

  • this case makes me want to pop e

  • @Negotiator987 yup you cant fit a monster 5970 there

  • Comment removed

  • Im not sure if i can buy any product that rodney reynolds dosent' deem 100% kickass, but this case looks awesome!!

  • can this fit a 5870.

  • @TheRacingMan01

    unfortunately not...

  • Yes, my friend just built one.

  • yest it can the hard drive bay is removable so you would have to use a 3.5 to 5.25 adapter to mount oyur hdd and then you could fit any consumer level graphics card as well as workstation CAD video card no problem.

  • @TheRacingMan01 I want to know this too...plz answer

  • the fans are so tacky

  • He forgot to mention at then end about no dust filters on the 230 MM fan

  • he mentioned it when he introduced the fan itself!

  • He usually overviews the cons of the case at the end

  • doesnt the mesh on the side fan act as a dust filter?

  • that side fan, is just asking for a electric shock

  • can this fit a 5970?

  • i doubt it, it is a mid tower case.

  • This Comment is cor 3DGAMEMAN. I know you have been doing this for a while but i really think that you shouldn't point out the fact that cases at this price range don't have a removable mobo tray. That is a feature seen mostly on expensive cases. Cases in the 150$ and under price range never had removable mobo trays and people looking in that range don't usually care.

  • i think he just does that so people who are getting this case know

  • whats the maximum size for a cpu fan?

  • can u turn the led fan lights off with that knob on the case?

  • Yes you press it down to change the color.

  • yeaa

  • i just bought that case 5 minuts ago :D

  • @suhmih its a kick ass case!

  • @suhmih SO DID I!

  • @suhmih IS IT GOOD? IM GETING it pretty soon like in months lolz

  • does it fit a 5970 video card?

  • POSSIBLY.... i mean without inspecting it you don't know. you'd be better off if you ahve the money for a 5970 getting the Coolermaster Cosmos S or Thermaltake Armor

  • @biggus90 or you could go with a case like the atcs 840 (rod uses) or you could get a cheaper case and get better hardware

  • Your reviews are great. 5/5

    keep up the good work

  • this or haf 922?

  • @maxnanabas09 go for the HAF 922 if you don't have problems with dust.

  • hehe thanks, i gues i need to have a modded fan filter :D if i get HAF

  • This !

  • haf 922 looks ugly^^

  • i like this one

  • Will this case fit the 5870??

  • ati 5870 = 10.5" 27cm

so if megaman says it fits full length 10 1/2 inch cards

    the ati should Just fit?

it looks like you can remove some of the hard drive rails, so maybe it will fit even if its like 1 millimeter off

  • hmmmm i am going to build a new computer very soon but i dont no which case i am thinking of 3 different 1's Thermaltake Element G, Thermaltake Element S or the Thermaltake Soprano DX VE7000BWS can i have your views?

  • why not an antec 900 or 1200?

  • Antec 900/1200 are indeed a great choice.. but that's only cooling.. the thermaltake cases have a way better cable manegment system... and is alot user friendlier. at mine opinion..

but for the better airflow i would definitly choose an antec case

  • Will a ThermalRight Ultra-120 eXtreme and a gtx 295 fit in this case?

  • get teh 5870, but how long is the 295? it will fit... unless its longer then a foot 0_o but from what i've seen its 10.5 inches so yes IT WILL FIT =)

  • Thx... Then I know. =)

  • sweet as, im used to loud xbox 360 fans lol

its a nice case ay, but could do with a window

  • Will a GTX 295 and a Cooler Master V8 fit?

  • it will fit them, but it will get cramped in there a bit but i dont htink it will be problem.

  • The Coolermaster V8 Should fit, in the FAQ on Thermaltake's site is says "This chassis will fit a cooler that is no taller than 163mm(6.4")" the V8 is 161.1mm tall, the GTX 295 would fit its 10.5in long, a 5870 would maybe just fit as well. At 4:26 video card length is shown

  • Thanks dude! You rock!

  • yes

  • you can barely hear the fans

  • hi there

i want to buy one of these cases, but the only thing that is preventing me is my concern about the fan noise...

long story short - are the fans loud when turned on?

    thanks

  • it wont be too loud, in low. but the haf 932 case it quiter cause it has larger fans.

  • they aren't very loud, they usually put the mic very close to get the sound of the fans.

I should be getting this too :)

  • can you turn the LEDs off?

  • yes

  • I love this case (L)

  • What can I do about the side and having no dust filter?

It's lame to not have one, I dont want dust being pulled in.

  • make sure you're closing the case properly it plugs into a connector when you close it.

  • it is closed properly.

I checked it with a multimeter.

No current coming from the connector.

  • It's lever, not leaver.
