the thing is for the last problem, one of the answers are s<1, that seems like it could be true, seeing as how it still isn't a zero, it could be .5. and since the question is which answer is true, i feel as though multiple answers are true.
@chewymonster2004 Remember you have to always pick the best possible answer. And while yes S could be .5 it could also be 1 and then that answer will not work. It is not the best possible solution so don't pick that one.
Hi, khanacademy what was the answer to number 6. Was 25-x^2=A the answer? I don't have the 2007 book for it, so I don't know the answer choices to letter E. Please let me know the answer. Thank You.
Being that I don't have the book, I watched number 6 and was like "OMG HOW AM I GONNA SOLVE FOR X THAT MAKES NO SENSE," and then the problem was just how to set up the problem. I thought I was about to learn something really insane; haha.
There are 2 rectangles, 1 small rectangle is inside a bigger rectangle. It wants us to find the area of the shaded region. The small rectangle is not shaded. So we take the area of the bigger box and we subtract out the area of the small unshaded rectangle. So the dimensions of the bix rectangle 5 by 5 : A = bh = 5*5 = 25. Area of small rectangle x * x = x^2.
Area of big rectangle - Area of small rectangle = 25 - x^2 which is answer letter E.
wooww. thanks a lot.. i have the book but itsss like really hard to read the WHOLe thing... this actually HELPS.. seriously the book alone.. its like useless :/
The first problems are always easy, its the last ones that are hard. But the difficulty isnt the problems for me, its the time. You only have like 20 minutes to do alll this
lol. u got a nice sense a humor. it's what makes SAT more fun than boring. anyways, thanks for the lesson. i'm taking the SAT in May 2nd. math is the easier subject for me. the only thing giving me issues is the critical reading. anyways, thanks for the lesson. =)
Im taking it on May 2nd and Im flipping out. Im trying to get into this Duo Enrollment Program at this local community college while Im still a senior in High school. But- yeah- THANK YOU!
Haha, born to MR. Jackson.
