Beginning contained was too slow and had too much rubato in my taste, but if you're going to make the beginning this slow, at least be consistent and make the recapitulation slow as well.

I actually thought the beginning rubato was played beautifully. A lot of people play the beginning faster than it should be played. After all, Chopin intended this to be the farewell piece to his homeland Poland.

The second half was played well, but the first portion was way to self indulgent on the tempo rubato. Especially when you hesitate on first notes in the bar, that really puts me on edge. I'd also restrict robato in the climactic section, it detracts, but thats just me. Otherwise good job.

Wrong notes are not bad I think. It's a part of a LIVE-performance. When you don't want a to hear a wrong note at all, then just go buy yourself a cd. This was a great performance and I wish I'd be in the public!

That's absolutely true. When my students play to me I am not too worried about wrong notes as we can usually correct this with a change of fingering or hand position. It's difficult to relax and avoid wrong notes with a camera watching you ... this performance is radically different from her other video. I wish she'd post a new version of Op.10 No.4 so we can compare them. The sound wasn't good on that older video, but I think Op.10 No.4 was well played from what I could hear.

Even though you hit some of the wrong notes during the climax it really doesn't take away from the performance. The expression was nicely done. Great job. I'm currently working on this song, doubt I'll ever come close to that.
