@Jen51300 , just noticed the comment. Cinema 4d is definitely mac compatible. I made this on a mac. bUt yu can always use after effects, or I'm sure motion for mac can do it as well. Its just setting up the layers in 3d space, and moving the camera around them. Like making a pop up book.
i love this but no need for expensive software. Yes AfterEffects and Cinema4D is awesome but really all of this can be done in flipbook. Ive done a few projects similar using nothing but flipbook.
@SteveBradshaw412 Totally, theres a bunch of software you can do this in now, since its like 5 years old when I did it. Just love cinema 4d and its so easy to add full 3d elements with the images projected on them. I'll have to check out flipbook though and what it has going on, I always thought it was a 2d animating program.

I use a 3d software called Cinema 4D, and photoshop to cut the elemnts up and build the background. You could use after effects to do something similar, but for what I do you needed a 3D program. Instead of just flat layers. actually build floors and things like the bench the guy is sitting on. Its a simple 3d bench with the photo cut up into front uprght, back upright, seat and backing. So then you can actually fly around a photo.
I use AE and have wondered if there is an easier way to do this other than rebuilding a background. Is that basically what it comes down to?? rebuilding your background elements? because some of these shots have building and such in them which would take so long to do.
sadly you have to rebuild whats behind the elements you break off on separate layers. thats why you can't do this with every photo. It does get quick after you get use to it though.
you can actually select the bench (in photoshop) then in adobe afterworks, you can angle your selection towards the viewer, giving it not only a 3D effect, but also perspective. hope this helps!
That is incredible. That is something I need to learn how to do. At first I thought you were just seperating pieces of pictures and moving them on seperate layers/tracks, but then I noticed some of the objects have real 3 dimensions to them. How did you do that???
Can someone tell me what program I can use that is Mac compatible?? I tried to download the cinema 4d program and it wasn't compatible.

I was wondering how you did the perspective on the bench. It looks like the entire scene is 3d except for the photo
