LOL. obvious troll is obvious. they worship elephants. they don't even eat cows. which Americans slaughter by the millions each year. 42 million to be exact.
@Glickstick ...They don't quite worship elephants, but they do consider them sacred and use them in religious symbolism....And Hinduism promotes vegetarianism, so yeah, Aohan is just a troll.
@Glickstick - It isn't =) Symbolism is using worldly and familiar elements as a window to a spiritual idea, while worship would be religious devotion towards those worldly things themselves - that is quite the opposite of what the so-called "Dharmic" (hinduism) religions are all about. Quite different from Abrahamic religions (christianity, islam, etc) in that regard.
The reason for the rope on the back leg is to hurting itself or the villager. Also Asian elephants are classed as endangered and whilst it would be better for it to live in the wild it would never survive at that age (elephants stay with their mothers to suckle till around 3 years old) so saving this one makes all the difference, plus it is cute!
why don't they just let it go it's probably either dead from stress now or very sad and wants to be back in the wild with his mother! poor little elephant
if it isnt natural for things to be kept in captivity, why do you have a dog and some reptiles? they deserve to be free aswell if were going by your logic. also, the elephant is a living thing so if you had the chance, why not spare ones life? even if it is an animal...
all of my pets are captive bred and i made sure of that before i baught them that baby elephant is wild and should stay in the wild it wasn't captive bred!
This kind of made me tear up. :/ But I'm happy they saved it. (:

idk. using them for religious symbolism sounds a lot like worship to me.

@theowneplays hindus worship the qualities that the elephant has, so you are partly right, but also wrong.

why were they pulling on its hind leg?
that doesn't help it climb out..
erratichippie 2 years ago 2
I guess to restrain it when it got out - in case it panicked.

poor elephant, i'm glad he's okay now, + even if he doesn't find his mom, at least he'll have a good home.

why don't they just let it go it's probably either dead from stress now or very sad and wants to be back in the wild with his mother! poor little elephant
MrPetlover45 2 years ago
ur comments stupid, letting it go would probably get it killed by a tiger or something. its best for it to be in captivity for a little while
glue161 2 years ago
it's nature for it to get eaten it's not nature for it to be held captive
MrPetlover45 2 years ago
it would be foolish to sit there and LET it happen than to try and help it.

i meant put it with other elephants then leave not just leave it there you idiot!

MrPetlover45 2 years ago
so you mean to tell me, if you saw a raccoon get hit by a car, and it lived, and was limping away to the side of the road you would do nothing?
glue161 2 years ago
i would but the elephant was fine and i bet it wants to see it's mother again!
MrPetlover45 2 years ago
you're an idiot, and they're looking for its mother. stfu, dont reply. you have nothing else good to say...
glue161 2 years ago
why don't you just shut up and go suck the papa elephants twinkie!
MrPetlover45 2 years ago
and the elephant cant live on its own, like the raccoon in my example soo how are they different?
glue161 2 years ago
first of all the elephant isn't injured you fag so shut up i don't wanna talk to you any more cock sucker!
MrPetlover45 2 years ago
it isn injured, but it cant defend itself!
glue161 2 years ago
f u!
MrPetlover45 2 years ago
exactly, you have no good reason for them to not keep it captivity, ty for your time.

It's amazing when people pull together to help an animal.
mbofny 2 years ago
Why did they have a rope on the leg of the elephant pulling the opposite way that it was trying to climb out? (see 0:41)
Horses4Ever45 2 years ago 3
That's exactly what I was wondering too.
Phantrax 2 years ago
Doesn't seem to be doing anything but making it harder for the poor thing to climb out!
Horses4Ever45 2 years ago 2
The rope on the hind leg was probably to keep him from charging forward into everyone in fear and possibly hurting himself or others.
MsIMListening2U 2 years ago 3
That could be true but even if that's the case why were they holding it so tight that this happens (0:50)?
Horses4Ever45 2 years ago
To control it for temporary captivity so that there are no human or elephant injuries due to the wild elephant panicing or running.
tzychess 2 years ago
Still kind of seems weird but I understand how that could be true.
