  • Best bit of this video is 2:00 when LAS arrived :D

  • Unreal cops must have been bored sat in the station

  • your right mate, the resources could have been better used at your mums house, to give her the best orgy of her life!!!

  • That police officer can lose his job for saying that!

  • no one knows what is actually going on here unless your one of the police officers in this video, so no one should be commenting or laughing cus they don't know whats going on here

  • Well i suppose you would like traffic driving around you when you're injured, never mind about the paramedic's, police officer's and victim's safety. Looks like whenever there is a chance to slag the police off, most people will just jump at it.

  • What goes around comes around. Police are humans do not always make the best choice. What about if the road was not closed and another accident took place and the man got hit and killed?? Then everyone would wonder why the police did not close the road for safety. We make mistakes, were not super heros. He can winge all he likes at the end of the day if something happened to him who would he call I wonder!!!!! You guessed it.

  • The police only get on the news for doing something wrong, very rarely are they on there for doing something good

  • I agree with the officer, that you videoing the victim was a bit out of order.

  • If its a quiet day then you can get a lot of officers at one incident which minimises the time taken to deal with it, meaning you can get the road open again. If its one officer, he has to stop the traffic, fill out a collision book, sort out the ambulance, try and get traffic moving again as best as possible, take breath samples and statements. Many hands make light work. Or someone may simply have forgotten to cancel more units. If you have it, send it.

  • @dan951955 yes there is need for them, they have to close the road as it is a crime scene, they have to record tyre skid marks and need to preserve the crash until photos can be taken

  • So basicly he has been hit by the white van and might have broke his ancle so they had to close road off although he was in the bus stop shelter no need for all the police pfft to be honnnst lol

  • What happend ? :)

  • thats a shit load of cops for a guy thats broke his ankle lol

  • That Zaifra was bombing it!

  • @KCx2192 It is called a rapid response vehicle LOL.

  • Should count yourself lucky mate. Surrey police wouldn't even bother to send one car. They would just let the traffic build up. They are useless, spend more time harrasing kids than they do helping people. The met on the other hand yeah they overreact but at least they bother to do stuff.

  • very badly managed machince that people are living under. He might have bust his ankle, darn it's as bad as the Italian football team, give him a yellow card for time wasting that's what I say ;-)

  • People who may look fine can take a turn for the worse after an accident, but i dont understand that many police attending the RTC.

  • RTA??? You mean an RTC.

  • tomica

  • Im a student paramedic, the public get confused so easily and focus on possible wastes of resources or time.

their priority was to secure the scene, secure entry routes for other emergency services and preserve the scene as a possible crime scene. due to mechanism of injury it had potential for a C-spine injury, patient cannot be moved until accessed by a paramedic or senior clinician. and scene saftey means stopping passing vehicles.

  • Yeah I guess they should have thrown the injured guy off the road and bulldozed the damamged cars onto the foorpath so you wouldn't be held up.

Only one thing worse than spectators at an emergency, and thats spectators with video cams, cam-ghouls.

  • The british police cars suck

  • @taizunx: they do ay

  • lol

  • or should i say youve got no friends

  • I remember the other day whilst walking home from work, i came across a car blocking the middle of the road, an ambulance and two police cars turned up, and blocked a good 20m worth of one lane and central markings, i ended up controlling traffic, which left them free to sort out the incident, they were very thankful, i have no exp though, however i do want to join the police, i really enjoyed it, and got a lot of praise from drivers going past, at 20m of blockage, it could've been chaos.

  • RTC not RTA

  • u might think theres loads of police coming every minute but it's to keep the citizens safe. Who cares if your gonna be late for work or late coming home... if they weren't there im telling you you wouldn't make it work or home anyway!

  • I hope you get invovled in a really nasty accident so I can film you and give grief to officers whilst they try to help you. You're selfishness and pure ignorance shows what is wrong with society these days. We waste our tax payers money paying the government to look after scum like you.

  • Ok next time you're injured in a RTA or injured at all they'll just send one bobby on a bike.

    At least the care.

  • i wonder how many police it takes to change a light bulb

  • one, but I bet it would take 100 people like YOU to change one!

  • that was soooooo funny (not)

take your tounge out of the po-lice's arse you mug bet your gay and bet youve go no friends, r u a police officer you fit the bill

  • @db187db Really showed how mature you are...

    And Y O U ' R E = you are, Y O U R = your

  • @000RaoulDuke000, another police ass licker, lol so fuck how i spelt youre or your you fucking sad little fuck, have you nothing better to complain about till your next swimming lesson with michael barrymore you faggott

  • @db187db It's nice to see you have worked on the maturity issue...

And no, im not a 'police ass licker' but unlike you, I respect the police and understand what a difficult job they have to do. A job that isn't made any easier by people like you who seem to have a prejudice and hatred of the police. Could you do a better job? I'm sure you think you could but you would only be lieing to yourself.

  • @000RaoulDuke000 police are currupt

  • @db187db Unfortunately some police officers are corrupt, however this is true globally. Is it really the right thing to label every police officer as corrupt, just because of the actions of a few?

  • @000RaoulDuke000 tbh where i live the true fact is that there are more currupt officers than, so called good ones so its alright to label them

  • @db187db How does that make it alright to label all of them!? That's just the base for prejudice and discrimination. It's a very narrow minded approach to have really.

  • im not saying that police officers should be shot but....... i can understand it

  • The Police in London only react like this because they have the resources to. Im sure any force would react like this if they had the man power.

  • maybe it was reported more seriously initially and the first officer on scene didnt cancel the other units, any fatal or life altering rtc and the road has to be closed for investigation,,maybe the las were expecting to find someone critically injured,,,we dont know because we were not involved.

  • HAHA love the LAS responce, the police thing seems excessive but I guess it was for a reason along the lines of "preserving valuable evidence" which they always seem to do

  • Did anyone else hear the BMW hit the kerb at 0:50. So basically the copper said the road was shut because he broke his ankle. OHH sorry hold on if i wasin a crash on the M1 and i broke my ankle would they close the full road no they would close a lane are they DAFT!

  • We don't know enough details to call it daft.

How do you know it wasn't a hit and run? In which case they need as much evidence as possible.

  • ON the motorway it is possible to get away with closing one lane, this accident didn't take place on the motorway, two very different situations.

  • Must've been a very slow day...

  • Thanks for all the comments.

I have not deleted any, even the ones that seem to question what I saw with my own eyes.

I just thought it was funny considering the guy can be seen sitting at the bus stop having a laugh with the coppers.

  • MPS or Transport Police?

  • This was The Metropolitan Police Service

  • @damianread I think you're one of those SICK FUCKS, who go around videoing accidents and shit!

  • Jesus Christ! You Might of thought they were attending a Fucking Duel carriage Way 50 Car Pile up!

Also What an entrance For the Rapid Response!! He Must of thought he was going to a Cardiac Arrest!! Honking the Horn and Sirens Untill Stop!!

  • lol - now that was amusing :)

I once saw similar in Wimbledon, 1 drunk lad resisting arrest and within 5mins I counted 9 police cars!!!

  • Thats what you called RAPID RESPONSE from the ambulance service! :P

  • better to be on the safe side ey!

  • That is just unreal were taxed to death and for what! stand and fight the enslavement.

  • daisy i hardly conside us being taxed to death... and secondly without benefits we would be 3 billion up anyway... these met police obviously hadnt had a call all day and decided to all attend

  • yes a waste of taxpayers money!!! and as a country we are over taxed by far....income tax, vat, council tax, and all the other back door taxes this shity government puts on normal hard working peeps...

  • I cant believe what im seeing lmao all this for suspected broken ankle what a fuckin waste taxpayers money and closing the road off ffs a bit ovet the top thats whats wrong with police today there fuckin useless and so what if the ambulance went down the street the wrong way fs big deallol. all that was needed was one police max and ambulance what a shambles wheres the common sense these days honestly this is insane well videod even a blind man can see theres no need for this silly response !!!!

  • That ambulance boy can drive!

  • what an entrance from the rrv!

  • So, there has been an RTC. Police close the one side of the road an tend to the injured until Paramedic arrives, all standard procedure. Why send 4 units?? Our control room would have kittens if these resources were used in South Wales. lol. I agree, RRV entrance was very good!

  • That was close when the ambulance vehicle came... cars doing u-turn infront of it looked dangerous because the ambulance vehicle came so highspeed. But i loved how it arrived. Nice video!

  • Or not full u-turn but a right turn :)

  • i loved the ambulance entrance - very dramatic!

  • SWEET... Look at all the BMW's driving by woo hoo

  • I can see why they closed the road off if hes been hit by a vehicle he could still die even though hes sitting up they need to close the road to make markings of where the vehicle was and where the person landed. And these sort of incidents are no longer called RTA's there called RTC's (road traffic collision ), because RTA implies no ones to blame

  • I like the way the RRV pulls up :)

  • lol, his ankle... Unless the guy has ME/MS or suffers from cancer I doubt that's a reason to shut the whole bloody road! Ah well - all in a day's drive...

  • usually a job like this takes 2 police vehicles, obviously there were reasons why so many units responded. or the local cops were a wee bit bored and wanted to help

  • There are loads of reasons for this reaction.

    1. There could have been a police station or an open day just around the corner.

    2. The person who called could have exaggerated the RTA over the phone.

    3. Until everything has been properly assessed, RTA areas are often closed to prevent evidence of the collision being disrupted by passing traffic.

    4. Someone could have fled the scene of the crash.

    5. You left the area before the spare units who are called in case it is crash is serious did.

  • Ok, I only saw one police van arriving when he told you of a suspected ankle. And that van arrived just as that officer was telling you so its to late to send the van back. Your one of them people that LOOK for faults ine the police, dont you have anything better to do?

  • I thought they were, never mind.

  • I really fail to see how this is a massive over responce. The officers have to deal with the accident itself, being two vehicles in a horrendous location and involving an injury, and the insane traffic buildup. You can't just magically make the cars dissapear that are in the way until the scene and damage has been assessed.

As noted, if you don't already work for them, i'd apply for the Daily Mail or Sun for a job.

  • I was there and saw the so called victim laughing and joking with police.

The traffic build up was a result of the police closing the road, not from the accident. I will leave all comments on here even if they are intended as an insult.

I don't even read the tabloids let alone want to work for them.

The police mainly do a good job but can also do a bad job. like when the plane crashed at heathrow last year, they closed roads 2 miles away whilst allowing cars to drive right past the scene.

  • @damianread let me explain how this works. Calls to RTCs on busy main roads tend to be bad with large diversions needed. If a member of the public calls in an RTC on a busy road control puts it out as "all units" because they expect that they will require several units. its up to the public to supply accurate information in order for the correct units to be sent.

  • 02.32 - here come the specials... God help us lool

  • Have you not got anything better to do with your valuable time? It seems the coppers can't do right from wrong. If they turn up and send a lot of Officers they get slagged off. If they send too few they slagged off. I guess what we have is a culture that has a chip on it's shoulder about the Police. It seems it is fashionable not to like them. Well I know one thing, I have lived in Saudi Arabia and the USA. Swap your Police for just one week and see how you find the service you recieve here.

  • O.K lets just point out some facts.

    1. As you can see for yourself, even after the officer tells me it is a suspected broken ankle, police continue to arrive with the blues and two's on.

    That can't be right.

    2. The road in question is a very busy route and one of the main roads leading to Heathrow.

You can't delay people for a suspected broken ankle.

    3. If you have only recieved an excellent service from the Police then I would suggest that you are very lucky.

    I haven't been so lucky.

  • Okay Damian lets look at your critical points.

    1. Police continue to arrive on blues and twos. Why? Neither you or I will ever be able to answer why. We didn't know what was being said between the Police and their control room.

    2. The road is a busy route into Heathrow. You can't delay people for a suspected broken ankle. Well actually the Police can. Under Section 163 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 a uniformed Police Officer attending an injury RTA can stop and completely halt traffic.

  • 2. Until the injured party has attended hospital and the extent of the injuries have actually been revealed. That cannot be done at the roadside. It is therefore technically a scene until the facts are established.

    3. Well point 3 is unfortuante for you. I however was very fortunate that I was revived by a British Policeman after nearly drowning in 1999.

Good luck to you Damian. But I think that you should devote your time to a cause more deserving. If this is all we have to worry about.

  • @damianread Right theres a couple of things wrong. What Pyro999maniac said is true but i shall tell you from the point of view as a medic. A broken ankle can develop into something worse and its always best to close the road to give us safe room to work in. Plus if this was an RTC then spinal examination is required always. this takes time and space. There is absolutely nothing wrong on this video. This was sensible policing. You can delay people for a broken ankle.

  • Over generalisation i think - how do you know that police take to long to get to serious crimes in London?? How do you know every avaliable unit was there?? - you don't - are you sure you don't work for the Daily Mail!

  • Wow, sometimes i hate the police and sometimes i like them, but don't they have anything better to do?

  • "don't they have anything better to do?"

    Are you serious?

So you think the police SHOULDN'T attend RTA's?

  • Yes they should, but they closed off the roads and all those police for what? and ambulance was already there.

  • Looks as if the Met are getting as bad as the NYPD in regards to Over Responding. Could just be poor cummunication between control and the first to respond.

  • Quote

    "gordtrue (1 month ago)

Could just be poor cummunication between control and the first to respond."

Yes it could have been that, or maybe the original caller had described a much worse incident or maybe the control had misunderstood it. I am sure they would have had a reason to send that many officers.

  • Were there any allegations of driving offences?

Was this potentially a crime scene?

Are you a doctor or paramedic?

    Were you a witness?

My point is that you don't know what happened and neither will they until they properly assess the situation and get an update from the paramedic. I'm sure this isn't easy & isn't helped by nosey onlookers like u getting in the way & asking stupid questions.

No one likes being delayed but I'm sure you'd feel differently if it were you friend/relative.

  • The injured person in question can quite clearly be seen in the footage getting up and sitting at the bus stop. even after the police inform me that they have closed the road as "he MAY have broken his ankle" still more police arrive. My point is that in London the police take too long to get to serious crimes, and here they are sending every available unit to a man with a suspected broken ankle.

  • I personally know someone that lost a leg having broken an ankle. And that was after being hit by push bike. They probably sent a couple of units to help with traffic control, not to deal with a suspected broken ankle. How do you know that the person who hit the pedestrian didn't do a runner or whether the vehicle was stolen. People like you are too quick to criticise.
