  • HaHaHaHaHa!!!

  • Great find. This is so not what I think of when I think of "music that has been made in Linden, New Jersey."

  • It is just a weed, some people should just get over it.

  • Listenin to this song makes me want to smoke. As a matter a fact, I believe I'm going to indulge myself...

  • High-lairous! A super clean copy of what must be a rare platter - thanks for posting!

  • Didn't he Died of Pickled liver disease??..

  • Listening to this, is no different than watching "Reefer Madness" it's good for a laugh, esp. while you are enjoying the herb....

  • Part of the government brain washing. I wonder if Jesus sits in heaven and shakes his head laughing at us down here as we ban and outlaw things he put here for us to use?

  • I listen to mostly grindcore and this is some good shit. piss off if you don't like it.

  • These old anti-pot songs are so chill and relaxing to listen to when you are stoned

  • this is why we can't have nice things!

  • This reminds me of reefer madness lol.. everybody thought marijuana was like crack, the government propaganda back then also claimed that marijuana grew poisonous berries... marijuana in my opinion is a mind expanding pain relieving gift from god himself

  • I just exhaled sum devils smoke hehe

  • @chewy01234

I did not post this song as a statement. Apparently you don't appreciate this song as part of history.

  • Mary juana. To your grave!

  • I come from a city where Mr Sunshine / Carl Swanson had a radio show and a music store. I knew him and in 1955 I bought a guitar from him at his music store and I'm still playing it. Next spring that will be 57 years. He was a great guy!!!

  • SEE What Can Happen...

  • Rare Junk! Thanks for posting this gem!

  • 420 nation!

  • so

  • Thumbs up if you found this while high.

  • @Threetails yep

  • LOL

  • bring sorrow and to your grave? i think he was smoking the cocoa plant instead

  • Lol, like bar looks like a joint....

  • Hey guys, calm down, it's a great piece of history! Thanks for sharing.

  • @joehiggs100

You're welcome. I enjoy these little spinning time capsules!

  • if he got stoned perchance he could have found a better noun to rhyme with marijuana

for eg: marijuana, you just don't wanna

  • In case anyone is interested, Mr Sunshine was Carl J. Swanson (1908-?).

  • @deyoungaza

    Thanks for the info!

  • I am so happy right now. its time time to go smoke a bowl.

  • Wow this is so cool this is my great grandfather

  • @kalypto56 WOW, I love it when this happens!

  • @kalypto56

Your great grandfather was a tool.

  • Stupid Lyrics. Stupid hicks from the south clearly were ignorant.

  • @SatansComment The song was probably written by a damn Yankee like yourself.

  • @southwriter Ey Red neck you make no sense and watch your words... I'm from Los Angeles.

  • @SatansComment I'm not a red neck, I'm probably far more educated than a pothead like you. And, I wouldn't brag about being from Los Angeles, either. The rest os us in this country are just waiting for that big earthquake to come and sink California into the Pacific Ocean and leave the rest of us in peace.

  • @southwriter Listen you idiot if your so educated why can't you even write a simple sentence correct "The rest of 'os' us in this country" moron you probably are a hick and I'd rather live here in LA and get killed by an earthquake than to live in some boring ass southern hick state. Don't worry Satan has a little present for you when you least expect it. exus es' morem le pic' mantra leman.

  • @SatansComment That was a 'typo', in case you've heard of the term. And, Satan has no power over me.

  • @SatansComment OMG. dont get your knickers in a wad. it's a SONG! i'm pretty sure, even back in the day, there were plenty of "stupid hicks" in the south who did not share Mr Sunshine's opinion. Thus, the admonition. LOL

  • rofl!

  • he surely never smoked weed

  • I, for one, will now heed this wise cautionary tale :*(

  • @bearswilleatme

yea, me too...what were we talking about again?

  • is he singing about may jane?

  • this is great!!! thank you mr!!

  • LOLOL!!! Thats great!

  • great one!

  • HEHE, I used to call one of my reefer men 'Mr Sunshine'.

  • Man you collect these 78s Any particular years or music? I read about an actual recorded 1940s Guitar Lead / trio and a Song called Naughty Nickers. English but not a comedy record. Heard of it?

  • @Davesintexas

haven't heard of it but I'm sure I'd like it!

I'm pretty open on the years that I collect. Generally I am more interested in the subject matter.

  • Countyswing

    hooray

  • Guy must have watched reefer madness too many times.

  • @DrewDubious

Not only did he watch it, he apparently believed it!

  • @bourbonneat he also rhymes Innocent with Plant!

  • @DrewDubious To folks from that era, Reefer Madness was a documentary.

  • Wow, this is kinda of thowback to another era!!!

    Fun song!!
