  • Hi Anuja and Hetal, love your videos! One question, i've been making pav bhaji just fine before coming to the usa, but since coming here, it just doesn't taste the same. i think that the potatoes that i'm using may not be suitable for pav bhaji. Which ones do you use? I've tried Russet potatoes and the pink-skinned ones. Any suggestions?

  • @dp2284 : Those are the 2 kinds we use and it works out fine :)

  • Hello

    Great recipe!

I have a question: a young family member is moving. I want to give him some frozen food so that it travels as solid without too much leakage.

I was thinking of freezing some bhaji in sandwich bags, so that they will travel well for a short flight.

Do you think that should work?

    Thanks a lot! :)

  • @undplulucf

Sorry for the late reply. Anything frozen will start to thaw immediately. If you plan to use it immediately after reaching your destination, it would be okay. It is probably not a good idea to allow frozen things to thaw and then refreeze again.

  • thanks ..i will be makin this today

  • mmmm i love pav bhaji

  • all ur stuff looks delicious and very easy to make...i cant wait to try....never mind the derogatory comments...those mostly seem like they are coming from the narrow minded FOBs who have no clue and have to criticize cus thats their habit...their food doesnt digest until they say something bad about others..typical....

  • I am gujrarti jain indian and i know how to make more yummy indian food very very delisous i know how to make rita and heaps more

  • thankx for the recipe it looks reallly delicious and i will make it today......

  • hehehehehehehehehehe

  • this is really good very very yummy n my faav toooooooooooo

  • Yummmmmm!!! I can't wait to make this today..Thanks for the post!

  • why r u guys being so annoying? people make small mistakes.. and i wanna see u try to cook like these ladies

  • And I don't see any texture at all in your vegetables.

  • You will feel the texture as you eat it. If you've had pasty pav bhaji, you would definitely notice the texture.

  • You guys mentioned about the pasty -ness you are trying to avoid. This dish couldn't look more pasty.

  • Me & my bro always insist on pan toasted bread in ghee- 2die4. But I have to try adding the masala in nxt tym thats an awesome idea as in mumbai on the stalls, once the bhaji is plated, they use the same tava to cook the bread so u get that fab falvor in it 2. otherwise at home for parties with loads of mouths we grease the bread lightly and grill loads at the same time.

Bell peppers (green or red variety) taste excellent when chopped finely and used as garnish like onions, adds extra crunch

  • Thank you. My kids always had the same taste always that their bua used to cook. I tried your way and it turned out to be big thing. My daughter said," In future do not experiment, this one is yummy".

Thanks for making my day :)

  • This not the way it is made...atleast not like the original mumbai style....

  • Mumbai it is always called tava pav bhaji,

Even today in the bylanes of VT,Byculla Parel and Lalbaug we get the best of Pav Bhajis, the presentation and preaparation was excellent,

    Thank you very much

  • i love pav bhaji but this particular one did not look appetizing AT ALL...eergh!

  • Also one more reason why we put butter n little oil is so that the butter doesnt burn.

  • well, I am gonna make pav bhaji right now...but mumbai(bombay), it is made in somewhat different way...also u get better taste by frying it on tawa with more butter

  • This is awesome - I'm going to give it a shot for my weekend party

  • Simple & nice presentation. Anybody can make it. Yes microoven style taste better.

  • Hi,

Firstly, I like your videos very much. The way you explain is easily reproducible.

Recently, I noticed the the sound recording in the videos is not so good, did you guys change anything ?

  • Thank you so much for the feedback. We were not aware of the sound trouble but will definitely look into it. Thanks again.

  • i luv pav baji my parents make it all the time

  • ...or you can go over to the Indian grocers and buy a box of Pav Bhaji mix, that way you only need to add salt and red chili powder is you want.

  • yummm!!!!

  • Just want to know How to make pav bhaji masala at home. We dont have any Indian store near to our house.

  • Just Google "Pav Bhaji Masala" and see what you get.
