Seems no middle ground for Kiss fans regarding Unmasked....it's either love it or hate it...count me in on the love it side...every song on the album is great...but just my own opinion

I don't care what anyone may think, but UNMASKED is and always will be my favorite KISS album of all time; not a single bad song, all great!!! More pop-oriented, I don't care. KISS were the heroes in my sleep back then (I was 10), and Dynasty was also amazing! As for The Elder, I just wish they had shown their made-up faces on the cover, as usual.

Peter Criss IMHO was the best drummer but Eric Carr was right behind him.I will Die and be laid to rest with Paul Stanleys solo album face tattoo'd on my arm.was in love with Peter but then he left and i was left to choose between Gene and Paul and chose Paul because Purple was my fav color and he was so sexual with that hairy chest.*starry eyed* that hairy chest is so sexy....

It's a good song. In fact UNMASKED does he have some good stuff. They should have heavied the pop songs up a bit and added a few hard rockers and it could've been a great albums. No reason you can't have both worlds together.

@meatloaf5000 Criss had NO input whatsoever on that album. He was recording Out of control at the time, but for some reason, he was still a member, at least officially. Eric joined less than 2 months after the release of the album, and did all the touring in the US (1 show), Europe and Australia/NZ

Why is it that in videos and TV appearances where they lip sync Gene finger plucks his bass but when he actually plays he uses a pick?

And looking back at this time period of Dynasty/Unmasked, the way Gene moves is spastic and annoying.

The Costumes were cool though, especially Ace.

I honestly think Paul has the best voice, but Gene still does have a kewl rock'n'roll voice. And Ace's voice is very god I think, but couldn't imagine him singing Paul's or Gene's songs, maybe some of Peter's like "Getaway" be maybe beacause Ace wrote that song. Ace however couldn't sing "Beth", no one else can ou of the original KISS members.
