  • R.I.P. Ronnie & Steve , your are missed but not forgotten

  • steve gains and van zant give me orgasms

  • lynyrd skynyrd gives me chills dead but not gone

  • Does anyone know if Lynyrd Skynyrd knebworth 1976 is available on DVD? Bootleg?

  • nice song by LYNYRD SKYNYRD great vid and song

it is chuch great song that i made a tribute vid to old good SKYNYRD:

    naruto simple man_0001.WMV

  • my dad seen them at the keel auditorium once, said they were kick-ass. sucks the best people died.

  • Get a life people.

  • times have changed so much

  • I love you Lynyrd, thanks God you exist and your music will be teaching forever to the world what is rock. God bless you Ronnie

  • i adore this song

  • probably Lynyrd Skynyrd's best song

  • undoubtedly

  • dammit, none of these are fucking loud enough!

  • i hear ya

  • I heard that!

When Ronnie hired Art Pyle as the new drummer,, the band really shifted into high gear, and built on the foundation that they laid years ago back in Jacksonville.

Steve Gaines was just making his mark when.... Well, you know.

I'll never get tired of this CLASSIC Rock n Roll song.

  • @PooPoo2U If ur saying the singing is not loud enough, its not supposed to be really loud. It's supposed to be good and something that describes a life experience............unlike rap and heavy metal where as they just put words together and think everyone likes them , but they will never compare to the greatness of Lynyrd Skynyrd

  • @MrMustangFan17: i said loud, as in the volume is too low. are you dense or something?

  • @PooPoo2U well turn the volume up or get a better computer

  • God bless you Ronnie, r.i.p. that ol Freebird will fly on forever.

  • Ya they blew the little fag Mick Jagger and the Stones away too. The Stones live music was all distorted and sounded like shit. R.I.P. FREEBIRDS.

  • Hi! I just commented on the post of Sweet Home Alabama, but yes - it has to be said again.: The Stones were totally horrible that day. Completely unrecognizable tunes. A crushing disappointment. I genuinely thought at the time: "Gimme Three Steps" would have to be the best song the Stones never wrote.

  • AC's smoking ;D

  • flyin high

    freebird

this in a song about freedom

  • IS IT REALLY?

sorry. I just thought it was a little obvious.

    great song though

  • man, before you shoot mouth trying to be a smartass, do your homework. the song was written because his girlfriend at the time asked him "if I leave here tomorrow, would you still remember me?"

  • Why don't you tell the guy who actually downright said it was about freedom? And I'm not like, a die hard Skynyrd fan, I like a few songs that I've heard and stuff so I don't know a whole lot about them. Sorry If I offended you. But thanks for straightening it out? :\

  • Was actually written for Duane Allman, hence the slide guitar.

  • wanna put some money on that? the song was written originally because allen collins had the chord progression stuck in his head and wanted to write a song with it, and then came up with the opening lyrics when his then-girlfriend kathy asked "if i leave here tomorrow, would you still remember me?"

  • and just for future reference: just because something is on slide doesn't mean it was made because of duane allman, that's just stupid. the song was written well before duane even died, and skynyrd played it as a TRIBUTE to him. they did NOT write it for him.

  • this song never gets old

  • Drove down from Newcastle to see these guys with German GF Ursula who wanted to see the Stones. Both were brilliant. Todd Rundgren and Utopia was a bonus. We had her mate's flat in London overnight so it was truly brill - comfy bed indoors instead of a sleeping bag in a tent.

  • Great song, but why doesn't your username have Lynynyrd Skynyrd in it? If you love then that mauch, and if you were a true fan you would do so.

  • the audience doesn't look too excited in the beginning

  • They're all fucked up.

  • ha yeah on charlie , pot , lsd and acid.

  • Word, word.

  • This is a great collection of videos of Lyn/Sky live from 1976. I was at Calif. Aug. 1977 live show and they were awesome! There performance was so good it was crisp, tight, loud and unforgettable. Unfortunately I think that was one of their last performances. The plane crash was in October 1977. Thanks for this trip down memory lane '92586tony' great posts.

  • 2:44gary is palaying witha ciggarete in his hand. htat almost bgeats clapton in the sixties with a ciggerte in the in the strings above the nut.

  • Why don't they show Billy???

  • I know! They never show him on this whole freaking dvd, except for Workin' For MCA. Even when he's playing the crap out of the piano in Call Me the Breeze.

  • the one and only LYNYRD SKYNYRD at there vintage best-- thanks for the great post-- of the pre-plane crash "LYNYRD SKYNYRD"

  • In the beginning these people are about to fall asleep, but I bet they have no idea what's coming!
