  • "Life is the flower for which love is the honey." Victor Hugo ♥~

  • Seen George 3 times ..even got to shake his hand at the end of the concert in Tampa Fl 2009..what a show ..get a chance go see him AWESOME

  • i have seen him many times. the house of blues is the best venue. saw him at bass hall in ft. worth, more of an orchestral hall and a whole bunch of old white people just sat there. me, i moved to an empty section and danced all night. i honestly believe it's the venue he plays in. hob is his kinda joint. bass hall, not so much.

  • @tlynch1218

I agree,.. House of Blues was the Best Show. Caught his show Feb 2010 San Diego - Superb.

He performed tonight in San Diego at Humphry's by the Bay- I had a great time and it was a really

    good show ,.. but house of blues r o c k e d !

  • Anyone there who is sitting is either dead or just lazy!

  • Destroyers foreva'

  • I have been 2 lots of concerts. BUT this 1 was truely the best ever!!

  • This guy represents how blues rock helped form heavy metal, it's brilliant!

  • One of the Coolest on Earth!

  • I own this DVD. Kickass all the way! Seen Mr Thoroughly Good 3 times (82, 85, 07) and he is like a good bottle of bourbon. Just keeps getting better with age!

OH! At the 85 concert, my brother and I had front row seats, and both were "knighted" by Sir George. Pretty killer.

  • I own this DVD. Kickass all the way! Seen Mr Thoroughly Good 3 times (82, 85, 07) and he is like a good bottle of bourbon. Just keeps getting better with age!

  • hes still got it

  • i loved the tongue thing!!!wooooootttt

  • not good is it !

  • GREAT! KICK ASS MUSIC!

  • I used to party with GT when they were the Delaware Destroyers. Back in the seventies....Stone Balloon.....Newark, De. N E 1 else on here know what I'm talkin' 'bout? Man, we used to ROCK that eff-ing joint! HELL yeah!

  • His voice has lost that "3 week bender" effect. too bad.

  • Jim Morrison and The Doors puts this rendition and any other to Shame - and the play it LIVE!!!

  • @dementia321 I'd say Doors and GT did it the best. No dis to Bo Diddley, but if Doors and GT coulda jammed on this together it woulda been a motherfucker!

  • ... George...you should be our envoy to the U.N....would they get it then...?

  • very dead crowd!

  • Look another seven IDIOTS.........

  • Bo Diddley may have done it first, but George did it right. don't bother arguing, most of the post I see show a lack of skill, and knowledge. And I ain't hating on Bo.

  • @bigjimmyplays Apparently you haven't heard Ronnie "The Hawk" Hawkins do it. Check out his version with 'The Band' on 'The Last Waltz', it's way better!! George's version is just a copy of Ronnie's interpretation.

  • @bigjimmyplays did You get pyd for that post? The doors had made a lot bettter version of this song, not to mention Bo!I've heard better one on jam nite in my local pub!

  • And a way we go? great somg

  • American Icon? 4th of July? Apple pie? I like George but man, thats a bit of a stretch..lol.

  • Hé dumbo's why are you insulting Bo Diddley with this shit cover?

  • where is his voice

  • when i saw him a few years ago he was boring as shit....really.

  • My dog loves George. This is his fave, followed by Bad To The Bone. :)

  • kind of a dead audience. I'd be boogeying down to this one. show a little life people. Jeezz.

  • seven people made of shit

  • Excellent *****

    BigMama §:-)

  • stand up and boogie peeps, jeez!

  • He looks like Lenny from "Laverne and Shirley."

  • Jeezuz!! This is probably one of the best versions I've heard. But how the hell could anyone who's not in a coma sit still to this?? And what seven idiots gave this a thumbs down? (Maybe Justin Bieber lickspittles) Bo would be happy his legacy passed on to the likes of GT.

  • @Otispuss2

There are people who spend their time listening to music that they don't like. Who knows why?

  • @steveknows62 A strange perversion of some sort??

  • Comment removed

  • @Otispuss2 People who listen to him, I love his music grew up on it one of my parents favorite.

  • this guy still has it

  • I think people are just stunned by the brilliance ... awesome performance all round ...

  • now there is a well behaved crowd.......lol

  • because they r fools

  • Good question why is everyone sitting????? I went to a George Thorogood concert and if they had not bothered to put in seats at all it would not have made a difference because none of us sat down.

  • The best of Bo Diddly and I mean this is so extraordinally awesome it just confounds.

  • "AND AWAY WE GO!!!"

  • GREAT SHOW, GREAT MAN.....!!!!!!!!!

  • what can you say...he is just good ol kick ass rock n roll....always has been, always will be...........awesome!

  • @michaelthepsycho shuld have spent longer spelling than botherin US that want to listen to this

  • I don't think I'll ever see George.. so this is cool. He had a couple of monster remake hits that sounded good.

  • These comercials are horrible this sorry george pissed off before you hit the stage. commercialized

  • George Thorogood owes me money !!!

  • you know jeff thorogood looks more like a pool hustler lol

  • I like such music.

  • Fantastic!

  • first song in a classy venue? people are usually sitting for the first song if they're sitting in padded seats lol

  • i was thinking the same thing i went to see him back in 91 or 92 and no one was sitting down the whole crowd including myself was wild

  • Ive been to over six of his shows over the past twenty plus years . In the early days we were on our feet all the time , the girls were taking off their clothes and giving head while we smoked bombers and drank our fill . Now ...... well were the old duffers that sit for most of the show and rock back and forth .

  • just saw them in San Antonio last month, fantastic concert....crowd was hot and rowdy, George came out for three encores.....loved the Texas fans.....

  • i like his guitar it looks like a giant violine

  • saw them on wednesday. i have to say, MINT CONDITION. they played as good as ever and put on a hell of a show

  • seen em support the stones in 82. this vid doesnt do justice i think to hearing this band live outdoors on a sunny day with the volume up to 12 heh heh. i had a girl on me shoulders for theirs and stones set , two inches shorter now, GREAT TRIBUTE TO BO!

  • This version is way too weak as compared to Diddley's original and the Juicy Lucy version.

  • Sax makes it, great number..

  • One group I have to see before I pass.Them and Santana.

  • better without the sax.

  • SRV..ever see a man pounding iron all day long???....making horseshoes????.....that's a blacksmith...*jesus, shakes head*....

  • Look up "blues band" in the dictionary, you see their picture. Special props to the drummer on this. He's got to have the arms of a blacksmith.

  • i dont even know what arms of blacksmith means but i like the sound of it

  • this ain't blues blahhhhhh The Hawk is blues

  • worst crowd ever

  • i have a GEORGE shirt for EVERY day of the week,.

  • Back in the early 80's he did a 50 days/50 states tour. I saw him at the University of Rhode Island. He rocked the house with almost 3 hrs of non stop music. He had the peeps dancing in the aisles.

  • I went to that concert. Would that have been in 84/85?

    Aloha401 =)

  • hes my favorite white boy blues singer

  • Why the F is everyone sitting?!

  • Comment removed

  • @tazzboy77 -You too-Great comment! LMAO NOW!!

  • @tazzboy77 stereotype much? england/UK has the best music ever,

  • @crackdown235 Doesn't have anything to do with Music scene there it has to do with fact that the audience is sitting during this song why? Either they don't like George doing his version of Bo Diddley's song or there is something cause if watch the Bad to Bone video from this concert the audience is now up on that song.

  • That was my question!! I could not sit still just watching the video!!

  • @theponezone -I am LMAO-Great comment

  • @theponezone cause they made music not a SIDE SHOW!!!!!

  • @theponezone because they are all anglo and old.

  • @theponezone To drunk to find out, just lookin for a favourite track, I bet this is England mate!!! • @theponezone

my first question was the same?

  • My first feeling was the same?

  • @theponezone I sure as well werent sitting when I saw him back in the 90's over here.

  • his concerts make ya wanna flop around like a Mexican jumping bean on fuckin' acid..saw him and the DD's in '81 in Vancouver and nearly went insane pounding my head off everything in sight..pure guitar grinding power and awesome drums and sax to boot..

  • Naw you're thinkin of Gary Busey....

  • Is He the one who used to act as a bad guy in many movies?

  • Naw young'un, that would be Gary Busey I think you are talkin 'bout. hehe.

  • Who would have thought the maraca's could been a percussive instrument. Needs more cowbell, lol.

  • I saw George before he was well known perform at a party on a farm in Oxford PA-He played from 7 till 2 in the morning !!!! AWESOME !

  • i love his guitar sound but his guitar is so ugly

  • It's a Gibson ES 125 TDC, which is an absolute classic which most guitarists would give their eye teeth for.

  • Track 15 is a remix with heavy drums on the the original CD. I just rediscovered it from my archives- listened to it like 10 times today on Bose in the 'Vette with the top off in 93 degree sun- nothin better- YEEHHEE.. I can't find the remix on YT.

  • Actually amazing live, id totally recommend going to see them! Been twice! :)
