Most annoyingly if your analogue sticks are "sticking" atleast to the degree mine were it's pretty much a throw-away job. It's a sealed unit on the sticks unless you want to un/re-solder, in which case you may aswell just buy a new controller. One of my DualShock's plastic roll-cage-like analogue sealed units had grinded plastic inside and worn out, that's too much gaming for ya :P

Sidenote; Cheaply made :/ would hope they'd start using optical on the sticks core rather than that shitty plastic.

@mcmanus1806 make your own stencils that what i do i do controllers and alot of kids in my school alway ask for controller to be done and hydro dipped and just stuff done with it and alot of them are very happy with results if you want stencil i suggest if you dont wana pay for it done it look up the image on google print out and take a razer blade and tape one side of blade heavy not to cut urself then take the image and cut slowly what you want i paint cars and controllers and thats what i do

i broke my L2 button (sixaxis controller) when i took it apart, didn't go any further than attempting to remove the batter, the button looosed up, i stuffed it back in (carefully) and put it back togheter, not it's hard to get it to react!

Hey, I have this weird Tri-prong like piece.... It just fell out while I was fixing my controller.... So I just ignored it.... Well then My controller wouldn't turn on.... I mean all the buttons were fine, but it didn't turn on.... The LEDs blink when I plug it into my PS3, but it wont turn on.... I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the tri-prong thingy....

@B1gB0ss45 I'm not sure if you've figured it out but the tri prong goes in between the D-pad and the rubber above it. Place it so that the prong pieces are facing towards the front of the controller. It goes in diagonally so that the "top" prong goes down to the left, closest to the analog. There should be no prong at the corner furthest from the analog. Hope this helps a bit.

thanks, after someone gave me the idea that putting talkin powder in your alaog sticks will fix them from being squeeky, it was a fail and broke them and my bottons. this helped me take it apart and clean it out and now it works better than ever. thanks :D! (Y)

YOU CAN CHANGE THE X SQUARE TRIANGLE AND CIRCLE! there will aleays be one notch on the button that doesnt fit, so what i did was bit off the piece that didnt fit and it works :) i now have 2 triangles & 2 x"s :D

@xXPHATglenXx Try restarting your controller. There is a very small button on the back of your controller. You will need something small to reach it. Hold the button for 5-10 seconds then try to use it. It needs to be hook up to your ps3 with the usb cord. Hope it works.

@flexer122 There's a little clip in-between the front and back casings. Press real hard between the joysticks on the back. When you hear a click, you can open it up.
