great video i'm nearly finished learning this song and i was getting trouble with the part from 3:20 - 3:26 every time i play the last E an move my hand to go on to the next A it sounds like a staccato and i lose the legato feeling of the song so how do you get that part to be played smoothly?
go Paul go. I think I have a new hero, digging your style and your playing. Your piano also has a unique sound to compliment your play. Thanks for sharing your talents!
GoDigital Media Group is pulling a scam on almost everybody in Youtube: they claim ownership to music on videos, even IF THEY DON'T HAVE NO RIGHTS TO THE MUSICS WHATSOWHEVER, some of the videos are removed and... and them what? What's the profit on this? Why are those morons doing this?
Good question, but they had to hire quite a few people to surf around claimimng music they don't own, and sometimes end up claiming work that REAL musicians had created... exposing their scam.

My favourite rendition of this piece bar none. Sooo beautiful. Made me listen with fresh ears, as this one is really hackneyed.

I like it a bit slow...it adds a bit of an Ominous presence to the piece!

@2hyeok -- I agree, it's a tad too slow and drags a bit, I'll re-do it :)

Amazing how this song can sound so joyful when played fast but so sad when played slow

Actually, Nohl's collection of letters shows that Beethoven composed this on 27th April, 1808 but that's just a minor point.
Nice and expressive playing (just as a delicate piece dedicated to young lady).
I don't understand why so many pianists insist on play this at such fast tempo and flourish , when the script says poco moto (with a little motion).

it's as if this piece was composed not just 'fur elise', rather to remind us that the highest beauty can be found in simplicity...
paul brings a unique energy to something so perfect....

Beautiful, and very touching. I love it. You don't play it fast, just with heart. That's what makes it so good
