haha. yeah. hanoi is really amazing & there's so much to do there. the lakes are really nice & it's less crowded than saigon (motocycles, etc.). But Saigon is pretty nice too. Well I'm glad you enjoyed your time there. (=
have you been to hue, a place in central vietnam? really nice there too, friendly people, way cleaner and less crowded than saigon. you should also go to Da Lat, its basically always spring there :D
no..i didn't make it to hue but my friend did and LOVES It! we only had 8 or so days so in reality, we did a lot visiting hanoi, halong bay, nha trang and ho chi minh with a tour of the mekong delta too. would go back one day and will see the other places like hue and da lat!

I will be heading off to saigon, nha trang, halong bay, vin pearl/monkey island, and who knows :) I will be there for a month.. Do you have any suggestions on reference books or definite places to see? I am thinking of visiting Ho Chi Minh's palace now :D

yes. i loved nha trang! i just didn't make a video there. we spent 2 days there scuba diving and enjoying the beaches.
i really loved hanoi and northern vietnam more than southern vietnam. i look forward to returning there!

also try Thailand..goto Tiger Temple its a once in a lifetime chance to get close to tigers without your life in danger.Trust me its worth it. =D
