I would like to point out that even if the President vetoed the bill, Congress and the Senate would have bypassed it and put it into law. The signing statement Obama wrote along with the Bill points out the areas that were unconstitutional by all accounts. In fact, the SCOTUS has already tagged these provisions to be put up for a constitutionality check.

This, however, does not excuse him from not informing the general public about the bill or E.O.'s that he states he already has power of.

This is a sad day, but hopefully the SCOTUS and civil liberty groups find it unconstitutional. Whats even more terrible is that if any president did veto the threat could have been overridden. Washington is shameful. -_-
