  • I'd do anything to jam out with those guys!

  • tip tip tiririp mana mana tip ti ririp mana mana......

  • @JargoSmivens It always seemed to me that all the Muppets were left handed. I always noticed they held their guitars the same direction as Paul McCartney.

  • didn't I said to You "keep ypur flickin mappets" away from me. now you know what I mean, we have got "black kermit the frog" role booked. flickin Akon wins it without any competition, he needs no characterisation even. yep, yep ... keep away that idiots from me. oh oh oh ukelele lady.

  • @JargoSmivens most of the muppets are left handed because the pupeteer is right handed so they use that hand to operate the mouth and general movement so the left hand is used to move the arms so the left arm is favoured

  • tanita tikaram looks like kermit ..only she is not frog she is a ugly dirty monkey

  • Love it.

  • I'VE SEEN DOCUMENTARIES ON THE MAKING OF THIS SHOW

AND THE PUPPETER CONTROLS THE MUPPETS LEFT ARM WITH

A STICK ON HIS /HER RIGHT.

  • The muppet show was absolutely fantastic,i watched this every week

when it was first shown.Kermit was the best one of all he's not a bad singer!!

  • @JargoSmivens I've noticed the Muppets all are. I think it has something to do with the fact that for the Muppet actors below the stage, right was left and vice-versa. I'm not totally sure though.

  • LOL I love this SO MUCH!!! :)

  • believe it or not but the puppet isn't really playing the uke no matter which way it's holding it

  • I'm afraid all the muppets are lefthanded for one simple reason: the rigth hand of the puppeter controls the mouth moves, so there is just the left hand to make the puppet's left hand moves and you will notice none of the muppets uses his rigth hand

  • Except Louise Gold's puppets, as she is left handed herself : )

  • Oh come on Pertilla85 you're being such a baby,And there's nothing to be afraid of so you had to grow up that's all.

    I'm sorry!

  • OG K emit is left haned so am i

  • Oh ! kermit et miss piggy , trop funny !!!

  • Can anyone post this song sung by Bette Midler??? I would love it and be soooo thankful to the person that does!!

  • It makes me so retardedly thrilled through and through to hear Kermit say Ukes.

    Muppets owns my life. Forever.

  • to katerinia mas einai auto pisw sto feggari......????

  • love the muppets

  • I think it's just that Jim Henson was a rightie ;)

  • anyone notice, he's holding the ukulele the wrong way around? XD

  • he's left handed :)

  • Isn't it pretty standard for a right-handed person (or frog) to strum with the left hand and do the chords with the right hand?

  • nope, usually you hold the instrument (ukulele or guitar or whatever) in the left hand and strum with the right one. but of course, kermit is so special, he must do things differently. might just be a private joke, dunno.

    anyway, muppets are great!!!

  • You'd think that, but it isn't. And if you try it, you'll see it just doesn't feel right. Although some righthanders play the uke lefthanded because the chords are easier taht way. But not a lot.

  • I think its just that most muppet's performers are right-handed, meaning that the puppet must be left handed, as their puppeteer's 'right' hand is operating the head, and the left one operating the arms. It would be the other way round for left handed puppeteers

  • No. Kermy's left-handed.

  • god we have to sing this song for school

  • And to give credit where it is due,Lyle Ritz is playing the Uke on the Jerk and before shooting the beach scene the ukulele they had was either sat on or stepped on and the props department used a fake card board uke.

Rule Number One, if your not playing it put it back in the case.

  • I love this skit from the Muppet Show, it maybe one of my favorites and probably my favorite from the Low Rawl (sorry if I spelled that wrong).

  • Miss Piggy, You have lovely legs!!!!;)

  • Who does the voice of Kermit now?

  • Steve Whitmire

  • I like...lalalalal lalalallala lalallalalala youuuuuuuuuuuu........

  • Kermit and piggy make hungry for some green legs and ham

  • BRAVO!

  • The whatnot muppet in this is the coolest!

  • my four-year-old says "how cute"

  • oh... this is adorable ;)

  • I was literally just about to send this clip to you and guess who got here an hour before me?

    Spooooooky!

  • I love scooter XD

    R.I.P Richard Hunt

  • Kermit is just adorable when he sings and even Ms. Piggy

  • Ever noticed most muppet musicians are left handed?

  • That's because most of the puppeteers are already controlling the mouths with their right hand and controlling the arms with the left hand.

  • Boy, its hard enough to play the uke with my own fingers, how'd they get a puppet to make all those chords and strums???

  • This sketch shows the advantage of character comedy. On one level you have a pretty song. On another you have a song delivered by the leading lady of an acting troupe. It is in an old tradition. On a third you have Miss Piggy, a unique character, who loves to think herself in love with Kermit the frog. You get all these with puppets, without the irrelevancies of real-world news and scandals. Delightful.

  • this song is from "The Jerk", and other things I am sure

  • I don't think this song was in the Jerk... I know it was in another Steve Martin video, The Man With Two Brains. Fantastic!

  • Yes, Yes you're right. "The man with two brains" the brain was singing it.... Sorry I just got confused for a minute. I love both of those movies and I have seen "MWTB" many, many, times.

  • In fact it's a private joke between me and my sister. I am always saying that Matthew McConaughey's name sounds like Ms. Amalmahay...Sorry about the spelling on that last name guys.

  • Confusion in comments regarding Steve Martin/ukuleles: Steve Martin does play ukulele in "The Jerk", but doesn't sing THIS song, agreed. He also does sing in "The Man With 2 Brains", but NOT "Ukulele Lady" - he sings "Under The Bamboo Tree" (unaccompanied except by Ms. Uumellmahaye), which the muppets interpolate here before the final chorus.(It's a similar lyric to "Ukulele Lady", although it's supposed to be about Africans, not Hawaiians.) Judy Garland sang it in "Meet Me in St. Louis".

  • that songs awesome.. where did u get the clip from???

  • Kermit rules!

  • I love this song! :D

  • good eye...good recollection !!

  • Kermit IS a lefty-he's in good company with Tiny Tim, who was also a lefty!

  • I also think of Geoffrey from Rainbow singing this song with Rod, Jane and Freddy.

  • I love that song it makes me think I'm in Hawaii.

  • I'm in LOVE with Kermit!! He's my ideal guy!! I mean, frog!:D:D

  • really ?

    :D

  • yes absolutely! he's smart, he's funny and most importantly: he's GREEN! :D:D

  • it's not easy being green XD

  • Kermy's a lefty! NOOO!!! :)

  • Most muppets are lefties...because most puppeteers are righties.
