Steven, I unfortunately know exactly what you have gone through these last two years as my daughter passed away on July 16, 2008. She contracted E-coli and 2 weeks 2 days later she was gone. Your album has spoken to me so dearly, so deeply. I love how you have been able to create these Psalms to help you with your grief. I have been able to do something similar with a dedication website to my daughter. She was 8 1/2 years old when she left this earth for heaven.

I've heard the album, heard the news about Maria Sue, and I already thought that this isn't just another worship album from SCC; it's an album with multiple tribute songs to your adoption daughter. Personally, I think it's hard for you, just to keep singing these songs about someone you lost, on albums, concerts and, just anywhere. Even that new house in China, Maria's Big House of Hope... you keep being confronted that she exist in so many thing,so much memories. That's hard.I envy you for that

I have 3 children now and I cannot imagine the pain you and your family feel. Every time I think of you and your beautiful family my heart breaks for all of you and I cry. You have felt a pain I cannot imagine and thank God he is faithful and his love helps bring healing. I just watched this for the first time and hearing a few minutes ago about his daughter's death from a friend. I haven't been a Christian long so I guess I missed the story last year. Anyway, I teared up when he talked about her. My daughter is four and if anything happened to her, I would die. He and his wife and family are stronger than I ever could be.

Maybe I am reading into it but I see 2 messages in the title on this album. The first: 'Beauty Will Rise', a reference to the promise of resurrection for those who are in Christ Jesus & specifically SCC's beautiful & precious little girl. The second message: in the title I also see a message to Steven's son, telling him to rise as well in the beauty of forgiveness & joy. If I'm right about this, it's a beautiful way of speaking to two beloved family members in one restorative moment. God bless.

I remember the first time I saw you was at the CMA awards concerts in Nashville. It was when there used to be highlighted groups of a all types of music. You have been in my tape/CD/itunes player ever since. I must confess the last three years have been very difficult as I have faced losing precious life myself.
