i find it hard to believe why they are so concerned about national security and civil liberties when majority of philippinese are having difficulties putting food on the table, or worse yet, many of them don't even have a table.

neither of the two can be a priority over the other, a nation with a national security but without civil liberty, or vice versa, is not a free nation. freedom of all sorts must go hand on hand to fulfill the absolute idea of liberty.

national security should be achieved without compromising civil liberties and without violation of any law. whether in times of peace or war, laws must be respected at all times. bush must be tried for civil rights violation and even crime against humanity.
