  • My God! I could listen to Tallulah Bankhead read a freakin' grocery list and it would sound like Shakespeare. The greatest Broadway star of all time, she made so very few films and any instance of her exquisite voice recorded for posterity is a brilliant blessing. Burl Ives has more than suitable gravitas as Father Neptune and Hayley Mills is lovely as The Little Mermaid. Even as simply a voice her charm commands the screen.

  • If only there were 2-4 inch tall action figures of these characters.

  • @trainguy111 Hmmm. A tall order. LOTS of figures exist for Rudolph and other Xmas related Rankin Bass specials. Mad Monster Party also has many model kits based on the characters, but Daydreamer (not a big hit or a cult classic) has none to date.

  • I hope they make action figures of these characters. All viewers in favor say "aye"

    Aye!

  • I remember watching this show once year being a young kid. I am tripping out watching it now.

  • This movie is very magnificent. Rankin Bass Productions know how to make Nostalgia films, toons and specials. GREAT UPLOAD! THANK U!

  • kinda reminds me of the Little Mermaid...did they copy that movie after this tale?

  • Wow... they took that whole "not having a soul" thing pretty well..
