Paul Martin's little example about how there would be "inflation" if we didn't borrow money from the private banks at untenable intrest rates is a sham. He only showed you one half of the economics involved. He failed to mention that if people where allowed to keep more of their hard earned dollars there would be much more abundance thus offsetting any "inflation". If he was right then instead of prosperity we had when the bank of Canada issued the currency we would of had hyperinflation.

In my opinion if you create either debt based money or just free money, regardless it will cause inflation either way so long as it is in circulation.
I understand the intent, but creating any money, whether its borrowed, not borrowed or backed by gold is still inflating the money supply my friend.
