I don't think the way the intend to implement communism within the UK will not work however I am a supporter of socialism. A radical change is not the solution to change a system but change must occur over a period of time. Large changes over time lead to situations like the USSR.

@08daviee There are many different forms of socialist systems and philosophies and your statement describes none of them. I'd reccomend reading about them before making blanket statements such as that which do nothing but showcase your own ignorance on the topic. I don't support socialism at the moment but I'm actually trying to make the effort to critically evaluate it instead of just dismissing it with inaccurate slogans.

Capitalism exploits the individual workers by extracting a portion of the wealth that they create, turning into profit for those that they work for. The communist party may never come to power-this is not a problem, as long as we can do our part to improve the lot of the common man. Whether it be the sensible voice on a local council, or informing voters that the Conservatives will steal the bread from their homes. Impossible not to argue with the logic of what he says. But isn't it depressing that after the criminal negligence that led to the banking collapse in 2008 and the consequent use of public money to shore up the financial system which we ordinary folk are now having to pay back through vicious public spending cuts and redundancies there isn't more anger and more of us listening to people like Griffiths and agreeing - yes - this is a way forward. @Teedub19864 It actually never worked like that at all. If you check you'll see trades people got paid various amounts depending on set factors i.e society demand, supply, skill, risk. They didn't all get the same amounts. Exploitation for profits wasn't one of the factors though.

lets leave the USSR aside here just for a moment - we are in the middle of a crisis that has swept throughout the world caused by capitalism. And its not the first time, nor will it be the last. The Communist Party in Britain aims to unite the forces of the left in overcoming this unstable, unfair and moribund system and replacing it with socialism, where the wealth created within a country will be reinvested for the benefit of its people. I think that this is a very positive philosophy
