LOL would you believe one of these piloted by a brent brandon in the USAF manuevered a mirage f-1 into the ground during the gulf war? Thats fucking hilarious, something with no armament and not exactly the greatest maneuverability defeating a fighter. Only our airforce : P
@poonjoo well, while it is strange to think about, the mirage pilot obviously wanted to kill the vark bad. no suprise really since they were bombing the shit out of everything. But bad choice trying to chase it. Nothing could go that low and fast. I saw them at their last air show in australia a couple of weeks ago. im gonna miss them. They are retiring in the next couple of months.
I was at that base in Taif, Saudi Arabia where they were stationed with us during Desert Storm. We were with the 48th TFW and had the F-111F models. That was our base's only combat loss.
