Brontosaurus? Actually you mean the Apatosaurus. They changed the name many years ago now (I'll explain why later). Anyways the Blue Whale ABSOLUTELY OWNS THE APATOSAURUS IN SIZE!!! Not even close. In both length and especially weight. Heck the Apt. is not even the biggest dino. A better comparison are the Brachiosaurus and Argentinosaurus. Now those were huge.

@jackddeal It is estimated that we only know 1% of all axtinct animals, so can we be 100% sure we know the biggest animal theres ever existed? NO!

In nature, aquatic animals are allways larger then their land counterparts no matter what epoch it is, this is due to the lack of gravitational effect on these animals. In the Mesozoic era, some LAND animals were NEARLY as large as the bluewhale, the lack of aquatic foccils explains why we havent found TITAN aquatic animals of this era, just imagine!

The blue whale is 30m while the Brontosaurus was about 23m

@jackddeal I don't really know anything at all, I just watched a National Geographic documentary about whales and that's what they said. At any rate, the blue whale is much bigger than the largest ever dinosaur, no matter your metric of comparison.

@105km Largest dinosaur Bruhathkayosaurus was 44 meters, the blue whale is 33 meters. i think one of the largest ever existed would be a more accurate. probably in top 3 ^^ But then again we don't have knowledge of all the dinosaurs that have roamed this earth or its waters
