  • Man do you have a great selection and great taste in music.

  • I remember when I was like 15 years old finding the lyrics to this song and thinking I was so cool. :D.

  • The only reason to invent the "back to the futur" machine

  • this song sounds better live right

  • I am one of the lucky people who was at this concert, 200,000 people, and sadly the last time the original line up played together

still listen to this truly amazing band

  • @garrysugar All here envy you dude, you was in heaven even if you wasn't dead

  • ExCeLLeNT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • puta queparioooooooo!!

  • You guys really need to read the story behind this concert. They were really nervous and felt unprepared, 230,000 people showed and Lord something or other had a law suit!

  • @Joannuh4real i counted 12

  • I love the way Jones is so consistent! no matter how the others are he is cool as fuck and hits every note correctly!

  • @413Kristianna he is the best one in the band , he was the glue that kept the whole thing together !

  • @413Kristianna Yes, he really maintains his composure.

  • @413Kristianna Same with Bonzo, those two were the most consistent rhythm section of all time!

  • Pagey is too busy looking cool.....he sounds way off key?

  • But to follow up my last comment, really this doesn't sound sloppy to me. Every note makes sense to me. I LOVE this version! (I'll say it again, lol!)

  • @LedWilde - Have you ever heard any of the boards from the 1980 tour? Jimmy wails on the song in some of those versions, playing a progressive version of this song that is different, and "loose" (his way of describing "sloppy") but soulful... and heavy. I think Jimmy was almost error free in the early days, playing live all the time. But as time on stage decreased, sloppy-ness increased. But the thing I love is that he kept evolving those songs. You're right, he kept it sounding cool.

  • @ScottAdkind I agree with you and pretty much every 1980 versions of Trampled are probably the best versions ever. I've listened to all or most of them on YouTube. (I think.) The early days he did play much "cleaner." But I think their music got more creative as time went on. The music somehow got more exciting. Definitely my favorite guitar player. He always plays full force. Most guitar players are more rehearsed or they are stuck in a comfort zone. Not Jimmy.

  • @LedWilde Oh, and has an awesome fucking guitar tone! Which part of it, I believe, is how and where he strums the strings. And then other things.

  • @LedWilde ......1975 @ Earl's Court blows any video away I've seen on Youtube......they peeked as a band during those 10 mins......Bonham and Page are absolutely sick !

  • @AvirtualSwitzerland I agree it was a killer performance. The 1975 Earl's Court. I like the 1980 versions a lot though. Even better.

  • "Never throw pearls before swine... lest they trample back to attack you..." So,

Trample underfoot, foot, foot, foot, foot, foot, foot, foot, foot, foot, foot, foot, :)

  • @ursusrex lol plant is the best

  • to those who think Zeppelin sucks: If I agreed with you then we would both be WRONG!!!

  • Wish I coulda been there!! Of course, I wasn't born yet :)

  • This song is a total ripoff of The Doobie Brothers Without Love song written and recorded back in 1972.

  • @yourdickis2limp Very close but i don't think the Doobies suffered greatly from this fact. Both great bands, both great songs

  • @yourdickis2limp shut up bro lets see the doobs jam like this

  • I think this version has a lot of character. I like it and listen to it often.

  • Grooving on the freeway, guages in the red. GUN DOWN ON MY GASOLINE I believe im gonna crack a head TALK ABOUT LOOOOAAAAAAVEE

  • @haveacigar420 Greasy slick down body groovy leather trim !!!!!!!!!!

  • @drnapls2 no drnapls2, your mother sucks

  • the last bridge on is them at their best. put it there rolling stones& the wall.

  • Rules!

  • Plants looking over like "you ok over there buddy?" haha Zep rules!!!

  • trampled underfootfootfootfootfootfoot, I love how Robert Plant does that

  • people slag this off... were you on Led Zeppelin? No? Then fuck off!

  • yeaaah!!! la pura psicodelia

  • where is the page guitar sound????

  • i dont know why everyone keeps on sucking here, i love it, sure there were a couple of mistakes and the drug use but i like the different elements that those things add i dont in anyway think that they did bad

  • @Masterreese1 I agree. Maybe for the band, it's not their best. But really, it's not bad at all to say the least. It still grooves. The mistakes actually sound cool to me. I think this version has a lot of character. I go back and listen to it quite a bit.

  • I was at this gig, fantastic!

  • @ludwigking Lucky!! i wasn't even born yet

  • Ending is really fricken weird. I love it!

Sounds kinda like a really good porno. meant in the best way possible of course!

I think its Jonseys Funky stop and start clav playin'

  • hahaha i saw this the first time (not the song , i know him for decades; )

the foot foot foot into lol

    led zep for ever !

    they still rule rock

  • best keyboards intro ever

  • page was a full blown smackhead for going on a decade

  • has Plant ever sang the Fully-Automatic verse live?

  • @MarinStoikov 4:07

    he sang it frequently

  • God did they suck at Knebworth.....horrible stuff!

  • @AvirtualSwitzerland plants voice was fucked by this stage

  • I hate it when people criticise Jimmy's Drug use. I wish they would they ask themselves:

    1. Could I do any better?

    2. If I could do better, could I do it when I was high?

  • @VanHalenLedZeppelin7 I completely agree. People who focus on Jimmy's drug use are missing the whole point. They were amazing artists in spite of their chemical dalliances (maybe even because of it). Don't worry about it and just enjoy the music

  • @katford7286 Exactly!

  • You gotta be fucking kidding me...and I don't even cuss! This is awwwwwweeesomme! Hot Damn, whadda a man Mr. Plant is! I'd love to squeeze his lemon until the juice ran down his leg!!!

  • @ettiesgirl That is just..... you know I would live till 85 if I didn't imagine that.

  • Robert plant was never into big drugs he even said the worse he ever did was weed and he admited it was a huge mistake and the reason his voice wasnt as strong as it was 1968-1977 was casue he had 5 surgeries on his throat to remove nodes from his vocal chords

  • I love Zeppelin and it's a good job that JPJ never got into drugs because they'd have been a shambles in the latter years.

  • @capricious71 JPJ admitted to dabbling in lots of drugs but he never got addicted or abused of them, in other words, he never went overboard with the drugs

  • my absolute favorite led zeppelin somg evar!i!i.....if only i knew what relatyion the name had to the lyrics.......

  • watch the earl's court video, compare it to this, and you'll be saddened. stay away from hard drugs!

  • @jedijeff123 Then go to any 1980 version of this song and you'll be happy again. I don't blame the drugs other than alcohol and this was their first gig in over 2 years. There are going to be kinks.

  • @LedWilde yeah 1980 was awesome

  • You can almost see the coke dripping out of Jimmy's nose, yet he plays better than most contemporary douchebags.

  • Don't know if this is the "best" version of this song but I do love this version. It has its own character. I love Page's playing. Also, look up this song from one of their 1980 shows. Those are my personal favorite versions of this song.

  • Bad mix nearly kills it.

  • Check out maaa band :)

  • Sounds like they were on bad acid trips during this concert. Horrible trips.

  • 2 bum notes at 0.38 what happened?

  • @ryanbrownnew Heroin!!

  • the sound is horrible here, can hardly hear pages playing

  • Fuck the 5 people who dont like this song

  • @ihatekmartcommercial no i can totally understand why they dont like this performance

  • foot foot foot foot foot freeeeestylooo !

  • I love this song

  • Loved Jimmy Page's junkytastic guitar solo! Simultaneously awesome as well as a trainwreck

  • @cherryghost7 I love his playing. Even when it's "sloppy" it has character and sounds great to my ears. He has style.

  • Zeppelin Rules!!

  • trampled undervootvootvootvootvootvootvoot

thank you for that, Mr. Plant.

  • Page is horrible here, but the other three are right on

  • u have to understand jpj's reason why he was not given much credit was due to him bieng the "quet member of the band"(which he wanted to be) he did not want lots of credit he staye at different hoteld than the other members and would see citys more

  • Martial Helsmoortel is on business-trip.

  • Love this song and the Zep! John Paul Jones was so overlooked for his work.

He, too, is a master and deserves far more credit than he'd gotten.

  • to bad they dont tour anymore, i love this band!

  • I actually like Plant's voice in this era! Meh.

  • @Zebonka Me as well. His voice here directly inspired me to sing.

  • trampled under foot foot foot foot foot foot foot. :)

  • even though jimmy was strung out on herion he could still solo well.

  • @GermanBoy901234 Actually it was well known that Jimmy had kicked heroin by the Knebworth show. That's why the show was so good on his end.

  • Comment removed

  • I was gobbin off all thru this concert...at the time I was 20 and lovin it ..Zep being my No ! badn forever!! seen them so many times ..but listening back to Knebworth clips....its bloody awfull! Out of tune and all over the fucking place..

Aberdeen Music Hall was awesome and spot on ! so was Earls Court! this is crap!

  • yea but dude first performance since 1977

  • Even tho page is kind fucked here he plays better thand 90% of these wanna be rockstars who say they play guitar

and on a final note ...........................................................TRAMPLED UNDER FOOT FOOT FOOT FOOT FOOT FOOT FOOT FOOT FOOT

  • I'm kind of upset and confused I have How The West Was Won and I was hoping this had been on the DVD and it wasn't I would be glad too watch this twice. especially since it's different. I don't understand. Please explain someone.

  • How The West Was Won are two completely different shows from 1972. Page just wanted to release a "live" album.

  • @Iputrandomstuff Thank You for the response. I still wish this was on the DVD. Sometimes I think rock stars are nuts. Led Zeppelin fans are collectors. That's what we do. We want everything that can be found. We like it. What do they not understand? We put these items in our wills, well I did. Just this past Christmas I bought LZ lV on vinyl, my second on vinyl. My friend bought me Led Zeppelin l on vinyl for my birthday this year. I'm weird too I guess. I love whole lotta Love from TSRTS.

  • @nellgwen48 I'm completely "weird," then.

All I do is collect bootlegs and, I too, have

got some of their albums on vinyl even after

vinyl got kicked out of the music industry. We

    just gotta stick together.

  • @Iputrandomstuff Do you mind if I e-mail you with some questions about hard to find Led Zeppelin items?

  • @nellgwen48 Sure, I guess I can answer some questions, and if I have any trouble I'll contact my experts.

  • i guess John Paul Jones and Bonzo were the members that were the most consistente in led zep, u don't really see them making mistakes or laking some skill due to drugs and age.

  • Plant and his voice is different though when it comes to consistency in that it is often out of control if his voice would change. From belting out all the higher vocals in the early days it proved to become a setback on his range.

  • What did the guy say that made Robert Plant turn around and be like "Whaat?" After the song ends.

  • muy bueno. montevideo uruguay

  • My favourit Led-Zep concert !

  • * favourite :S

  • whats up with begning when he said foot multiple times

  • hes just messin around

  • Ohh man, Page's tone is shit here D:

  • Good footman music for a good TRAMPling....

  • Comment removed

  • trampled under foot foot foot foot foot foot foot foot foot foot

  • JPJ. Nuff said.

  • JPJ is my favorite Led Zep member. And the best. And the most underrated.

  • 100% agreed.

  • @DarthKrattus oh I couldnt have said it better myself friend! :)

  • HOW CAN U SAY THAT???

ZEPPELIN IS AND PROBABLY WILL ALWAYS BE THE BEST ROCK BAND OF ALL TIME! BAAAAND! And they are the best band because of the devastating Plant´s voice, the mindblowing Page´s guitar, the explosive Bonham´s drums and the godlike bass/piano of Jonsey. They were the best´s, because they are a team. a group. A band. They were very close friends and that´s this friendly connection that made´s Led Zeppelin the Gods of Rock, the truly kings of this music style

  • aww page page page!

    not his best show

  • yup...stay away from heroin...

  • I think Page was wasted at this show. But even wasted, he still rocks!

  • What is said at the end, when Plant turns around and says "Whaat?"

  • Great concert the best.

  • trampled underfoot foot foot foot foot foot foot foot foot l love that part

  • @102ledzepfan Isn't that mean feet :))

  • 0:10-0:20 is just orgasmic.

  • Just friggin brilliant.

  • this song is one of the reasons i love this band so much.

  • wheres the guitar... lol

  • jonesy best ever at bass and keyboards

  • Before the fourth album they were just a great rock band. When the fourth album came out they were bonefied rock and roll royalty. Jimmy's interest in magick apparently paid off. Somewhat. Not without pain and sorrow.

  • look at the video on youtube of dazed and confused 1969

i had have the album they was just as good then no black magic crap

  • I hope in heaven they all go back to their prime, not all old and stuff.

  • i just hope they're in heaven

  • they totally will be in heaven so don't fear

  • one of zepps greatests songs every very powerfull

  • go JPJ

  • classic

  • After Plants son died he said he stopped using that day. I am sad but happy for him at the same time.

  • man once page plant and jones are all gone the mighty zepp will be reunited and playn for the big man himself

  • Maybe, but I don't think they'll be playing this song, since it's about giving in to sexual temptation. The very title comes from a bible verse about the wicked being trampled underfoot. Yeah, might want to leave this one out of the celestial set list.

  • It'll be ideal for the infernal set list though \m/...long live Zep

  • Too bad Page was all smacked out during the last few years (and Page is one of the best)...Jones, Bonham and Percy are in top form here.

  • my dad seen this tour, dude these were the years for music

  • this is a right meaty choon, fuckin love the zep

  • Oh god! This brings back some great memories Was at Knebworth in 79 and they were fantastic, what a night. best concert ever - and this 'oldie' has been to quite a few

  • Another rock masterpiece by the true Gods of Rock

  • Haha, how can that guy be called "PinkZeppelin44" and not know the last albums, let alone calling someone else an idiot...

  • fuck you you fagget!

im pretty sure that in through the out door and coda were the last two albums you fucking idiot

im willing to put my life on the line

    im pretty damn sure

  • yea it is lol, most retards on youtube can barely spell, much less google something before puking up a response

  • finally, some one with some knowledge on led zeppelin

  • If you cosider In Through the Out Door an album. ZING! Coda was a great one though.

  • in through the out door was a pretty good album but not as good as the previous ones

  • *claps hands* school fights are always the best.

  • Your right!!!!! Why is he being so mean??

  • balls out

  • Love Zeppelin-lucky enuff to see Page n Plant in 98! fucking awesome~

  • no idiot, in through the outdoor and coda were that last albums

  • Comment removed

  • but its rally about sex

  • no, he's talkin' bout love

    talikn' bout loOoOove

    talkin' bout

love = sex (in this case)

  • whyed they call it that

  • these guys have balls come on you "new artists" try to goal the half of one ball these guys got, they had 8 you faggots try to have a half of one

  • terrific song, never gets old to me

  • All of these Page haters who claim to be experts, are just aging 'musicians' whose only 'claim to fame' was runner-up in some battle-of-the-bands somewhere 20 years ago. Now they are just stuck teaching guitar in some basement music store, playing tired old riffs to starry-eyed 14 year olds. Nothing original, just old familiar Zep and Hendrix licks, over and over again. Maybe on occasion packing up the cheap amp and playing some themed gig at their old high-schools. I would be envious as well.

  • Maybe that's a bit to generalizing, don't you think? =)

  • Maybe, but it covers alot of 'em.

  • Heh, yeah =o
