  • I'm visiting these Sisters in less than two weeks for a retreat and I'm praying that I'll know for sure if this is where God wants me to be :)

  • What a waste !!

  • @ndzoko Why?

  • beautiful video! thanks for posting!

  • your promotional video real moved me to tears. you are authentical

and may all the holy spirit's blessings decend upon you.

    deus vos sorores benedicat omnes!

  • I'm planning on going to a vocation retreat next year to see these beautiful Sisters and to find out if God is calling me to join them. Any and all prayers for my discernment would be immensely appreciated. Peace and blessings!

  • @impasse0124 May The Lord grant you the necessary discernment and guidance. My mother had a devotion to St Anthony and he was generous to our family; ask him to assist you. God bless.

  • wonderful video

  • This a beautiful video it brought tears to my eyes. I love the part about allowing God to do amazing things in our life. God bless

  • NOVUS ORDO CONDEMNED

    REASONS CONDEMNED:

    1) Clearly ILLICIT

    2) Conclusively INVALID

    3) evidently DISEDIFYING

  • this is beautiful and making me proud to be a Catholic.

  • Awesome video

  • @Ov3rDose2o4 It's unfortunate that you find a deep love of God and service to His people so "dumb and pointless"

  • lakayana, we do not live solely by Scripture but also by Tradition. Remember, there was Tradition before the Gospels were even written. Let me ask you this? Does your family have a graduation picture of you framed someplace? Lovely if they do but that is not a graven image. That's how we treasure images of our Saints. Like pictures of loved ownes. We don't pray to those images. They remind of of the person they represent. Like Santa Claus represents St. Nicholas.

  • in my country more than 90% people are catholics

  • I can't explain why but this makes me so glad i'm Catholic.

  • @Ov3rDose2o4 Get a life.

  • i love these video.......

  • @black557500 me too. :)

  • ovo je tako lijep i inspirativan video, koji sestre Dominikanke predstavlja uistinu u lijepom svjetlu. dobri Bog neka blagoslovi naše drage sestre u svemu što čine i što jesu! God bless!

  • god bless them

  • Thanks be to God for such a wonderful mystery: He truly does call some of us to an intimate life of espousal to Him. What an amazing gift! He doesn't need us, yet He loves us so dearly. He doesn't need our assistance in bringing about redemption yet He invites us to participate in His own perfect sacrifice.

  • 1) if Jesus paid for it ALL on the cross why then do man kind needs rituals? . 2) if God hates graven images then why some church have them? & parade them? . 3) where in the bible that we pray with rosary & parade saints? . 4) if SALVATION IS ONLY through Christ why do man kind try to earn heaven by rituals, self sacrifice AND PAID OFFERING . WHY DO MAN KIND KEEP CHANGING THE LAW OF GOD? are we that arrogant there is no mention of nuns in the Bible
  • @lakayna

Are the term "Evangelical Christian" (by name) in the Bible? Or, what about the terms "Protestant", "Pentecostal Christian", "Calvary Chapel", "Seventh Day Adventist" "First Baptist Church"? All of these are absent from the Bible. So what conclusions do you draw?

  • @lakayna

God does not "hate graven images". Exodus 20 prohibits the making of images FOR THE PURPOSE OF WORSHIPING THEM. Read verse 5, not just verse 4. Catholics do not worship images. Exodus 20:18-19 and Num 21:8 have God asking for a graven image to be made of one thing or another.

Also, the Bible is not the only place where God speaks to us. Where in the Bible does it say that it is the only source of Truth?

  • We do not worship them, they are simple a representation and also can be a reminder. Some people are visual.

The Mother of God HERSELF gave us the Rosary. Even told the children at Fatima to pray it in reparation of their sins.

And as for the "Why does man change the Law of God" the Catholic Church is actual the holder of the Scriptures and if you study you'll find that Protestant churches have changed certain words according to THEIR beliefs.

  • @lakayna And also, yes, there are no nuns in the Bible, but tell me what is wrong with giving your life to Christ in such a beautiful way. Taking the vows of poverty, chastity and obedience and living, really, like the Apostles who themselves imitated Christ. GOD BLESS and I cannot wait to become His Bride one day! How great His calling is!

  • Very inspirational,

    Thanks

  • Wonderful video

    Thanks

  • also check out sr. maria kolbe's testimony at STANNHSM channel

or type in sr. maria kolbe

    it is awesome!

  • i met three Dominican sisters over the summer at a camp called call to holiness it's a girls vocation camp to think about what they want to do in the future or what god might want them to do, the sisters were great it was great hearing their testimonies and i believe it was a blessing!(:

  • i love these sisters

check out my nashville dominican video

  • The choir part gave me chills....

  • this is just lovely! monasticism is a beautiful thing! we need more young monks and nuns, to show discerning teens like me that this (being a monk) is also an option!

  • I'm going back to Nashville in January for my 3rd visit with the Dominicans and if God wills it, the application process may be discussed. Please pray for me!

  • I'm inspired by the sisters! i hope i will join the order one day.

    God is Great!

  • I'm inspired by the sisters! i hope i will join the order on day. God is Great!

  • Great video

  • And when you think about it, by our sins, justice would call for our immeadiate departure into Hell, because God's laws are our standards. But God loved us SOO much that he knew he needed to justify our potential full life into heaven somehow, and he sent his son to be crucified to pay for our sins, so WE wouldn't have to. This is awesome. God loves you so much, more than our brains can imagine. Jesus is proposing to YOU right NOW. What will you say?

  • @LadyBritonWhite I've said yes, but I can't wait to respond :) 4 more years of school, I'll be 18 and I can give myself to Him. :)

  • They are absolutely divine. I long to be a sister so bad. God is in control (:

  • I hope to join this order one day, i want to but im keeping my ears open for God's call. Unfortunately I'll have to wait a while as im only 13 :/

  • hope to see nuns also say the mass like priest

maybe our next pope could be among one of these nuns

women r not less then men

  • Amazing amount of young sisters, lovely to see. Maryjeanniek, how lovely for you.

  • We just came back from the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia as our sweet daughter entered yesterday on the feast of St. Clare (the saint we almost named her)! I thought I would be a basket case but I left feeling as if I had stepped into a part of heaven. To see her radiant face as she came down the staircase has caused my heart great joy! The Sisters possess the beauty and true joy of our Eucharistic Lord! I have so many new and beautiful daughters!!!

  • @MaryJeannieK

that is so beautiful, congrats. :)

  • @MaryJeannieK congratulations

  • @MaryJeannieK Congratulations! I cannot wait for my day, this just made me even more eager, if that's even possible! God Bless you and your daughter! :)

  • The glory of God is a human being fully alive. ...

  • I had a great aunt who was a dominican, she lived to be 100! there was another sister in her community who was 101!

  • I'm truly impressed. Didn't know that so beautifull congregation, so traditional and modern at the same time can be found in the US. Here in Europe we get mixed information about what is going on in the Curch in North America, but this clip made me hopefull that God is watching and preserving those faithfull to Him everywhere in the world...

  • I just stayed there for four days with my school and the sisters are some of the most beautiful, wonderful people have I ever met. The atmosphere there is so peaceful and fun. I loved it.

  • I had a dear friend, a Dominican sister, enclosed. Before her death, she admitted her many shocking sins. Long white robes and veils may simply hide our sins. Faith in Jesus Christ (Apart from works, if your read Romans and Galatians) = TRUE BEAUTY.

  • @john62718hd the sins of all of us are many and shocking -- none of us are perfect. praise be to Jesus Christ for his sacrifice for us! these women just want to give their lives to God in thanks for that, and this is how they are called to do it. let's commend them for answering the call

  • So uplifting, such a lively and growing community!

Witnessing God answering your prayers but, even somehow paradoxically, how He actually makes possible what you never dared to ask for (a very clear sign of truth) surprising you with an "unbelievable" way of life that anticipates the eternal communion by not only allowing Him to convert and bring you closer, but essentially to live life's most fundamental reality to an exceptional degree through Christ's redemption - "Christ is mine".

  • Keep up your blessed work of Praising, Preaching, Blessing!

  • "...and now God has answered my prayer"

I can't hold back the tears. So beautiful.

  • Our Dear Lord Jesus called us to specific tasks. Although I lived a cloistered life, (U see the beautiful and hear the beautiful) but within my Dominican Cloister women were in love with woman and many were alcoholics. Please sisters, tell the whole truth. "It is not good for a person to be alone" our dear Lord proclaimed. Stop deceiving and confusing. Return to Jesus your first love and stop pulling young women into this deadly net which you describe as "beautiful community life."

  • @john62718hd "others have renounced marriage[c]because of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it." Matt 19

  • My great cousin , Sr. Mary Celsa Nee was

a DOMINICAN from 1925 until her passing on Feb. 12, 1997.

Truly a 'Sainted' person from South Boston !

  • Maybe if you knew the real Nashville Dominicans you would not have any hatred towards them. They are loving woman who only want to do the will of God. Some of them taught me at my high school. I will be praying for all you.

  • i just met sister anna grace in rome with two others sisters and had some wonderful talks about art and love . i was in ballet school with sister anna grace years ago.

i was so blessed to spend time with them. and see such a beautiful focus on love. and being good to everyone. some say they hide fromn the world. but i think they go down to the essentials of life. and that is all one needs

  • starch doesn't lead to holiness -- but sincerity, comittment and selflessness does.

  • that's so true

  • I support these nuns financially. If other orders were wise, they would take note.

  • I love these sisters. I miss being at the convent with them.

  • did u visit them? what was it like?

some sister actually left even after they made their final vocation, but they didn't know that once ur aister, ur always a sister.i'm no saying u did this but this is what my religion teacher told me.

  • I have been there three times. Two of them teach at my High School. I had one senior year. She was awesome. They are very joyful. Sometimes,Woman realize at a certain point that they aren't meant to be there. That is why although you have entered, you are still discerning all the way up to your final vows. It is a never ending journey. they still discern what God wants of them after there final vows.

  • that's my point! i'm glad u had sisters as ur teachers. they're really nice. a sister from this order is my religion teacher this yr.

  • who is your teacher? I may have met her.

  • sr. mary rebekah

  • I do not think I have met her,but I am glad that you get to experience the beauty of having a Nashville Dominican. I enjoyed it and miss it. God Bless

  • thank u, she's been with the sisters 4 over 8 yrs. so she pretty happy. i'm glad u get 2 experience it 2!

    thanks again God Bless. :)

  • Superb!!! As a Vocation Guide this is such a tool!!

    Blessings to all!!!

  • I met four of these sisters on the weekend. They were visiting from their mission house in Sydney and gave some talks and teaching in Christchurch, New Zealand. They are incredible women, and I highly reccommend that if they visit your town, you leap at the opportunity to visit them.

  • this is so beautiful! i hope i can join them, or someone like them, one day

  • God bless you on your journey!

  • @LizClaire1313 Dominicans are good, especially if you like teaching. I met the Michigan sisters who were on Operah not too long ago. They are awesome! if yuo want to go into nursing or something like that check out the Franciscans! That is what I am doing. Mind: I won't be a nurse, the FIs do not do that sort of thing!

  • I went to school in SF and remember the nuns in their stiff veils and tightly covered heads and necks. I was surprised to see long habit here, since the young nuns in SF were wearing a shorter version of the habits shown here.

  • Thank you for posting this! Love these sisters!

  • the Nashville Dominicans are full of so much love, compassion for what they do. I miss having one teach me.

  • The Nashville Dominican's are so very beautiful. ^^

I must pick up a copy of the film. Loved it <3

  • Very inspirational, thank you for posting!
