I'm an CNA currently in nursing school, and I hope I am never the kind of nurse in this video. They aren't all like that but most of them are and they are even worse to their CNAs.
Why doesn't the nurse have a Filipino accent. That would be classic. And if anybody is paying attention, STAT to an RT means if they don't respond, somebody will be discharged out the back door. IS, CPT and coughing don't qualify for STAT calls
i love these videos and think they are funny as hell. But i also have to say that me being a Pediatric RT i am thankful for the RNs i work with and this stuff is very rare. We are a team at my hospital and work together to take care of our patients.
At my hospital.the icu nurses can order abg's and ekg's without calling a doc.some of the nurses will order them everytime a pt coughs or gets heatburn.I've been doing respiratory for 20+ years and can do an abg or ekg in about 5 minutes(incl running the gas)but when I get a difficult stick ie;low bp, it can make my night very painfull! The truth is if an rt talks back to a nurse she or he will make you their bitch by calling you for crap every night.Put the patient first and move on!
i respect both RN and RT...both have their own function...my place, we respect each other as a team... nobody is "stupid", they just arrogant and trying to make themselves high.....
@sabine45102 what is the problem, why is it you are taking the cartoons so seriously? To be quite honest, there are RN's that act this way. At my hospital RT's are called for everything. I get called for a pt that fell out of the bed, and now because their in pain they need a breathing treatment. Also you say that RT's know our Snot, Well I guess RN's really now how to clean a a** and wipe up pi** and sh*t...
not too long ago a nurse said to me I ve been a nurse for 9 yrs I never learned to suction and i m not about to start lol hey everone rememeber what trully RN stands for nothing but Respiratory Notifier lol
@sabine45102 We can intubate, place arterial lines, run ECMO, manage ventilators, assist with bronchs, and a few other minor details involving patient care. YOUR main job is to pass meds.

@kjggx2 ....no that's not true. I am an RRT and love and respect many of the nurses that I work with. We have a great working relationship where I work. Unfortunately it only takes one nasty nurse to give them all a bad name.
