I see..The Long Tall Sally LP released in May 1964 in Canada was a cool mash-up of tracks from both Meet the Beatles! and the Beatles Second Album..and which uses the front and back cover of Second Album that was released in the USA one month earlier..I like the USA Capitol lp's..even though they are essentially compilations of the superior British Parlophone lp's..they hold a special place in my heart, as I know them from my childhood..lp's that once belonged to my Mom a long, long time ago!
@MrStealth22a I discovered their albums quite late in my life. I got my 1st Beatle album when I was 16. So I'm not too attached to the U.S. track listings, although I have a hard time separating "I just seen a face" from "Rubber Soul".
@aldiakaroofus Rubber Soul, Meet the Beatles, and A Hard Day's Night on United Artists were the very first lp's my mother showed me when i was just 4 or 5 years old
I loved them from the moment mom put the record player on! It left a big impression on me: I loved the melodies of John and Paul but also for nostalgic reasons..when I think of Rubber Soul it brings me back to when i was a small child
and primary school as well..I played those records to death!
@MrStealth22a Thanks! Nah, even though I scored a 1st edition of Long Tall Sally last year, I don't have enough new records for an update video. Perhaps when I find Reel Music and hopefully a 14 track version of Revolver (why didn't I pick one in Australia in 2004?). I'd like to make a video of my solo Beatles LPs too but some are out of reach right now.
@Max12Weidler I found it in the 80s in a record shop. Kinda got ripped off though. Back then they left empty sleeves on the shelves and kept the record hidden, for security measures. Turns out my copy was used, and there was groove wear on my $30 copy. :-P
Hi, have a large collection and the most memorable is that as I can understand many of these obtained a good price. Not for me since I live in Venezuela and getting imported discs is complicated, however over the years I have purchased several albums through Ebay. I recently purchased from Ebay UK first editions. Congratulations and go to my channel but I have not finished uploading all the videos please check eye. Greetings!
@stealth22a I agree! It's good to have variations, but nothing surpasses the thrill of owning an original! I have few of them. That's why I was excited when I found that 1st pressing of Help!
I had no idea that the Beatles Anthology albums were available on vinyl . It was good to see some of those records I bought over thirty years ago again . Man , what memories !!
Funny thing is, the only reason I bought the Anthologies on vinyl at the time of their release is that I still hadn't bought my 1st CD player when they came out! :D
I know that beatles wow etc... and Iam a collector too but!!! see that make me sick! of the music industry, release and release albums with the same songs... for get money... for is ok have the normal studio albums and not s h i t s like Hey Jude album and thinks like that...
i picked up a copy of the blue album in near mint condition with the sleeves with the lyrics(apple, black vinyl)for 5 bucks at a local goodwill the other day
and yes i commented again on this vid cuz i love to watch it:P
great collection!!!wish mine was this good.I only have Sgt pepper Abbey road, white album, hey jude, yesterday and today,an import from germany with all their early stuff called BeatleGretest
Yep! I'm hoping to find Reel Music (with booklet) in a yard sale, along with Long Tall Sally (Canadian version of Second Album). I have "1" on CD (bought in a yard sale just for the booklet). Yellow Sub 1999, Let It Be Naked and Love are too pricey for me, and impossible to find used. For the same price, I'd rather splurge on early editions of their earlier albums. But I'd definitely pick up any of those for the right price.
I'm not sure if you've found it yet, but I wish you good luck finding Reel Music. It's not an easy one to find. I got it at a local record store for $4.00 with the booklet.
Exactly! Btw: great collection. I have the red album, blue album, beatles 65, Beatlemania! in the USA, the white album, early beatles, the beatles featuring tony sheridan(a version you don't have surprisingly), help!, introducing the beatles, magical mystery tour, meet the beatles, rarities, revolver, reel music, rubber soul, something new, yesterday and today(not a butcher unfortunately), yellow submarine, abbey road, and sgt pepper. And until I just typed that, I didnt realize I had so many.
I don't know what to say , this is fantastic , wish i had these.
My dad has the following LP's : with the beatles , hard days night , beatles for sale , help, rubber soul , revolver , sgt pepper , white album, abbey road , let it be, rock n roll something, yesterday and today, red and blue album.
If your dad's records are well-preserved 1st editions, his collection probably beats mine!
I don't have Love at all. Since I now wait to find good deals rather than splurge (like I did for the 3 Anthologies and the BBC albums, bought at their time of release, or Let It End which, at $40, is the priciest of my purchases in this video), it could take a while before I find the missing albums, but I'm not in a hurry.
It's very gratifying to get a rare album for cheap after waiting patiently and passing over more expensive opportunities. The marble-colored Sgt. Peppers cost me sixty cents in a yard sale!
Thanks! Sorry for the quality... my old PC has a crappy video card, and if I raise the transfer resolution, it crashes.
Garage sales are hit or miss. Depends a lot on the location. But there's also a lot of store purchases in this video. The last 4 albums, I paid full price when they came out.
I have Come together;Maxwells silver hammer;Oh darling; Her majesty Trac2 Here comes the sun;Because;Something;Ocyopus's Garden;Trac3Iwantyou;Shes so heavy; You never give me your money;Trac4Sun king;Mean Mr. Mustard;Polytheme Pam; She came in through the bathroom window ;Golden Slumbers; Carry that weight and The end.
To be honest, I'm not very familiar with the variations on the Butcher cover that were made available over the years. I mentioned the Japanese one simply because I saw one on eBay once (empty cover only). I'd be glad just to own a VG+ copy of the fakest one out there.
There's 5, not 7, but yeah, it's still a lot. They all have something different, like the labels change fron one year to another, or the one in colored vinyl. The other reason is that I can't pass up a cheap, clean Beatles LP. Most of these records were found in garage sales for a dollar or less. :)
Yellow Submarine was my first record too...and I was also disappointed that it didn't have "Eleanor Rigby", and other songs from the film on it. But "Hey Bulldog" that wasn't in the film more than made up for that! :3
You have most of the USA versions, i have Let It Be (UK) Help! (Stereo with film tracks strangely) (UK), Red Album, Rubber Soul, White Album and Abbey Road.
Also, if you got Yellow Submarine Songtrack, One, Let It Be...Naked, Love & Reel Music you have almost all the official albums. I Have it but here in the cpu all the albums and some Bootlegs like Whithology, Ultra Rare Trax, Unsurprassed Masters, The Alternate Versions, Magical Mystery Tour Outtakes, Abbey Road Companion and Get Back.
The two missing LPs I'm most likely to find for cheap around here are Long Tall Sally (Canadian version of Second Album) and Reel Music. For the rest, I'd have to splurge, which I usually won't do. Buying records stops being fun when the prices go up.
Fantastic Beatles collection you have. I am starting to seriously collect Beatles albums on vinyl have presently have seven LPs including the White Album on the Apple Label.
Awesome! I majored in Film Animation and Yellow Submarine is my favorite animated feature film! I grew up on Sesame Street and many animated clips were inspired from that movie!
you're welcome and I envy you your major..I have an animation board and camera but I need to set up the camera again and try to start doing animation again

Overall, LPs + 45s+ 78s, I have over 17000 records of all kinds. The LPs and 45s are all in my bedroom and most of my 78s are in milk crates in an indoor storage room supplied with my parents' flat. Sadly I still live with them. I can't wait to graduate, get my career started and finally get my own place to live! My parents are looking forward to that day more than I am! ;-)
