Sweet! I've always wanted to be able to see the Cavaliers in their finest element: Sped up in editing, overlayed with lame grunge music. Thanks for making it a reality! I'm glad the corps is so diligent about having these promos made!
Thanks Rick! That's clears up my question too. I was wondering the same thing, and didn't stop to think what it would actually sound like. I love this anyway, it's great to see the corps from this angle.
(part 2) I know the problems with a lot of the original music and video taping. Alas, in the final, it is your project. I hope the original troupe members in the video tape are as jazzed about your new interpretation as you are. But then again....I'm anal. When I select steak I don't expect a pizza to be delieved. Enjoy your new found project. I'll be looking forward to seeing your progress on upcoming installments. Best of luck.
Ok, ok. I can only stay silent for so long before I feel compelled to offer a professional response. As the video editor/producer I must point out that these type of vids are primarily visual in nature. Watch the picture and try to imagine the live sound. With the many cuts you see, using live sound would become a mish mosh of incomplete audio blips. Is that what you're wanting? I'm thinking no.
If the show is what you want then that is what you should be watching. That is what the DVD's are for... complete shows with multiple angles. YouTube is for short excerpts, hype vids and, during the summer, for exclusive behind the scenes offerings of the corps on the road. I don't mean to be a bully about this, but seriously folks, think it through. Rick Lunn
Rick is right. You gota chill out. Rick does an excellent job. He makes videos that appeal to all audiences, and you sound like a complete ass rambling on about pizza and hello dolly.
(part 1) BIG MISTAKE! As a fan of The Cavaliers music and marching, I am looking for both their music and precision drill/choreography to the primary music intended. At least include the word "remix" in the title so we, the viewing audience, are prepared. I know it is popular these days to import other music, but why not do Dolly's big stair number from Hello Dolly with the music selected for this project. See if you think it is still has the same impact as the original music.
at 1:30 what do the basses do????

the background music is quite annoying and unnecessary, but there is some pretty good video footage! thanks for posting this!
