after watching the truck appearing from nowhere 1000 times, i've got a theory. the "appearing" truck span out slightly before the camera and was facing the wrong way. the other truck runs into the "appearing' truck and pushes it along into the view of the camera, although the "appearing" truck is hidden by the other truck. they hit a pillar or something jutting out from the side of the wall. confusing crash happens and everyone on youtube, including me is perplexed

There was another video to explain these occurences in this tunnel. A poorly constructed underground bridge with dripping water that freezes into black ice that drivers cant see was the main cause of these accidents... not purely attributed to agressive driving as most viewers comment here.

Problem is difference in speeds of cars. Don't matter if speed limit is 100 or 60. The problems occur when you got one guy doing 100 and other 60. It's not about the speed but the differing speeds that cause accidents. The first few clips where you can see the accident happen illustrate that well.
