  • I liked After Hours but I wouldn't put it as one of the year's best films.

  • @blinkzone1 You're crazy than, cuz After Hours is one of the best films EVER made!

  • @DanielTheWalrus OK well to be fair the funniest scene imo was when Hackett returns to the diner after being chased by a mob for a good twenty minutes. Earlier Hackett was at the diner all stressed out orders a meal from the waiter but suddenly leaves so he comes back (after a long hiatus) and here's the waiter now bringing Hackett his meal order as if he didn't forget. I literally laughed my ass off.

  • is ebert male or female?

  • ...Mad Max 3 was brilliant

  • I disagree with Siskel about After Hours. Cheech & Chong were definitely lighter characters, but Teri Garr wasn't really, and Catherine O'Hara played an absolutely horrible character. That part where she's distracting him as he tries to dial the phone has to be one of the most infuriating scenes I've ever watched in a movie.

  • @2112murphy

    Star Wars sucks.

  • Albert Brooks is hysterical sarcastic and witty!

  • Gene was great;can't stand Rodger.

  • Coming to America is from 1988 ....

  • Whoops, you're right. I guess I meant Lost in America. Thanks for catching that.

  • After Hours was great.

  • Thanks for these uploads, Brilliant, Cheers.

  • you're not even allowed to SAY nest egg

  • Coming To America is good, but Trading Places is better.

  • Mad Max Beyond Thunder Dome!?!?!?! Are they fucking KIDDING?!?!?

  • "Lost in America" -- I don't understand how this movie gets so much hype. I saw it recently, and was bored. I like many of Albert Brooks movies (Defending your life, Mother, etc.). But this fell flat for me.

  • "Coming to America" was the crappy Eddie Murphy comedy (and made nobody's top ten lists for this or any other year) ... "Lost in America" was the brilliant Albert Brooks comedy that was definitely one of 1985's best.

I loved Siskel and Ebert back then. Thanks for posting these!

  • Coming to America was a good movie :/

  • @cinemavirtualis wtf?? Coming to America is HILARIOUS. Fuck what the critics say--you have no soul if you can't laugh at that movie.

After Hours is classic. My favorite of 85.

  • Gene Siskel at his best.

And yeah, Lost in America is the greatest comedy ever.

    Siskel and Ebert both rule.

  • @Wilco362 23 red 23 red she really likes 23 red! our whole nest egg! The desert Inn has heart....

  • Lost in America...
