  • this cut scene gives me goosebumps every single time I see it

  • Ah memoriesm:)! Was a great time playing halo2... I sometimes play it via network with friends

  • @dycarbon1

I think its just an oversight by bungie

  • How did the arbiter activate the controls? I thought the forerunner interfaces only respond to human touch?

  • @dycarbon1

They probably wouldn't bother putting such restrictions on something as simple as a gondola's "go" button

  • @dycarbon1 Arbiter used his fist to active the controls

  • @dharok123456789

Hahaha yep, he didn't activate it; just punched it and broke it.

  • guys 0:28 - 0:33 isn't that the left handed elite from halo reach?

  • @1122montana No, the events in reach oucerred before Halo 1.

  • @TheRadioactivemutant i understand, but in halo reach the ending. there was this left handed elite with the same color armor. so what im saying can this elite be the same as reach?

  • @1122montana I suppose it is possible, but there have to be plenty of lefty elites

  • @1122montana lol theres a forum on bungie . net about that

  • halo 2's awsummmmm!!

  • I thought only humans could activate forerunner switches.

  • @dycarbon1 and they are, that's why they use miranda at the end of the game to activate the ring, they do need a human, so they took miranda, sure always pick the nice cute lady instead of a man-.-

  • @rafbendiaz what about halo 3?

when they kill marinda keyes and use johnson

  • @midgerm thats another story, cuz jhonson got to activate third tower and the picked the first one to appear, miranda wasn't there, i be for god that if miranda was there they would have taken her

  • @rafbendiaz Miranda? Cute? HA! Nice one.

  • @sithlord249 it's called "tribute" and it's on the official halo soundtrack

  • Damn, I loved this whole arbiter section of the game (from the wall to the library).

In Halo 2 elites are much nicer allies than marines, they're always taking things somewhat seriously but keeping their cool. Marines are usually either whining like kids, telling crap/lame jokes, blustering or just otherwise talking shit. I don't know about you guys, but I get enough of that for months only by playing few hours of multiplayer.

  • The snow falls 'up' at about the 40 second mark.

  • @VHSBD Nahh the camera is moving down.

  • Elites are badass......Brutes suck

  • the arbitor is cool to play as and he has invisibily for a few seconds. really comes in handy

  • What is the name of this song?

  • @thewurbler

Its Thel Vadamee actually. The other elite was R'tas Vadumee.

  • Coward huh. That must explain why he stayed behind to take on more FLOOD. Plus I've played this level. Tarterus doesn't do shit against the flood. All my elites usually die.

  • i never played halo 2 but do u play as arbiter or something because most cutscenes revolve around him and the elites

  • @mooniscol

yeh in halo2 u altanate between cheif and the arbiter, you do play as both which can be cool as arbiter does have breif invisibility

  • :31 - :33 i always liked the way he runs

  • according to the halo wiki thats a forerunner gas mine they are in

  • "High Charity, Respite"

  • Rtas is so high ranked that his the only elite taht dared and could challenge the prophets ...His soo cool

  • can somebody please tell me the name name of the song?

  • @spartan2222222222222 i dont think its on the halo 2 ost, but in halo they play the same thing, the song is called tribute (they however open with drums to honor the dead)

  • @RockOn765 halo 3

  • Rtas' Vaduum and Thel Vadamee' are badass elites

  • Are any Elites not? ^^

  • dude those swords are like lightsabers. BADASS!!!

  • @SwingkidAGFF Energy Swords are much stronger than lightsabers. Yes, the name is Energy Sword. or Type-1 Energy Weapon/Sword.

  • @SwingkidAGFF That's why I always carry one around.

  • do you ever see the white elite again? havent played this in so long....

  • I don't know, but that guy was awesome.

  • yuo in halo 3 he is promoted to Captain over his own ship

  • @retype9

the term is Shipmaster, even though they are pretty much the same thing.

P.S.Actually he was promoted to Fleet Master. Which means he was in charge of over 8 ships

  • yah, he apears at the end level "Sacred Icon" and is the major Shipmaster of the elites in Halo 3

  • sry, not sacred icon, i meant "The Great Journey"

  • That is correct.

  • lol look at tartatus always hatin' man

  • CORRECT!!

  • *I see that coward didn't join you*

Says the hairy ape safe and sound in an indestructible flying fortress. I hate brutes...

  • So say we all.

  • Heck Yeah.

  • . tartarus, while afforded some degree of protection by the phantom (which is canonically destructible), is still actively helping the elites on the gondola while half-jaw just abandons them like he's done before on this and previous levels. there was also no need to kill any pursuing flood like he claims, since the gondola would just leave them behind.

so, out-of-universe, it's just a plot device to remove an invincible ally from the game, and one of the characters is lampshading it.

  • @gussy667 Not indestructable anymore in halo 3 i bet if tartarus's ship got invaded by flood, He would be the first to take off.

  • @gussy667

exactly Rtas is probably busting his ass off defeating hundreds of flood in their. lol

  • @gussy667 They are indestructible till they meet my fucking scorpion in Halo 3

  • yup

  • Do you get to play as the arbiter in Halo 2? because I played 1 and 3, but not 2.

  • yeah u get to play as the arbiter

  • Rtas Vadum is not a coward

  • Who's that elite in the white armor?

  • Rtas Vadumee, a badass in his own right

  • elites look so pwnage!

  • haha

  • well.. 0:35 sorry lol

  • that was a fail falcon punc then lol

  • at least he tried.

  • 0:37 FALCON PAWNCH :0

  • how?

  • He punched the lift activator

  • oh ok i thought it was gonna be an action sequence

  • Why is the snow going UP at :40?

  • an upside down perspective?

  • its good the way they brought the music out

  • exactly what i think, its why i like it soo much

  • One of my favorite cutscenes AND one of my favorite levels.

  • whos jaw?

  • the one with white armour

  • yeah i kinda figured that out after wards but thx!

  • Anyone else feel the story-driven parts of Halo 3 (like cutscenes) took a step down from Halo 2? Seriously, these rock.

  • ... Yes. I got that feeling too. I'm glad I'm not the only one with that view. >_>

  • Same feel here, good game but the whole Cortana bitching and gravemind whining thing bothered me, all i want is a good story and game. Otherwise the cut scenes were gay.

  • I love the music in this cut scene. It is basically part of "Tribute" from the Halo 3 Soundtrack.

  • elites are dam tall and they run like hell fast

  • Good memories :)

  • LOL, why is it that the halfjaw dude has to be so high-and-noble? If he goes off to kill a few more Flood, it doesn't really make that much difference... should have gone with the Arbiter.

  • because being high and noble is cool

  • too right mate. honour, sacrifice.

  • ya but its suicide going against that many flood i just hope he has doesnt have legendary on or hell be dead in 1 nanosecond

  • If you look closely at Rtas, (the white elite) you can see that his lower left jaw is missing. Hint his nickname "halfjaw". These are just things my friend told me, so bring on the hate-mail.

  • yes u can see the history of how he lost his left jaws on halo graphic novel fighting with a friend infected by the flood.

    sorry my english

  • soo the flood caused him to lose one half of his jaw ?

  • The one in the white is Halfjaw, given name Rtas Vadumee (only the 'Ee part is dropped after the Sangheili split away from the rest of the Covenant.)

  • Glad I'm not the only one who knows his name lol.And for those wondering, the way you pronounce his name is the same, the "ee" is just for show, kind of a rank(the Elites consider Names a very important part of society. Not everyone gets a Name when you are an Elite).

  • Ah, but did you know that Arbiter's original name before being shamed was Thel 'Vadamee?

I learned that with Halo: The Cole Protocol!

  • Actually, yes I did.But did you know that his name in the scripting was originally supposed to be Thaous Vadamee?I learned that at the Bungie Archives(Not a site, the actual Bungie Acrhives).

  • :O! I did not know that!

    I LEARNED A FACT!

  • Actually,it's Thel 'Vadam, without the suffix "ee" because he is no longer affiliated with the Covenant. He has sided with the Humans.

  • Yes, I know that, but at the same time, the reason that he's only referred to as Arbiter in the games is from the fact that he was shamed, and Sangheili think that names are extremely important in society and religion, thus eliminating his name after being branded with the Mark of Shame. So his name never had the chamce to lose the ee suffix.

  • the ship master aka white elite is preety confident on fighting the flood himself and surviving too.

  • well he has done it before

  • hated that lvl... floodfuck

  • his name is rtas vedumme dont you know

  • The name is Rtas 'Vadum, not Rtas Vadumme.

  • Well at this time it was Rtas Vadumee. He got rid of the 'ee suffix when he left the Covenant

  • Rtas is so cool bungie should make a game soley based on Rtas and the arbiter

  • I think every halo game is amazing...Bungie has made three amazing games...Its a shame the trilogy is over

  • well there is still halo wars to look forward to and a possible halo movie

  • The halo movie has a 50/50 chance of being made

and Bungie comfirmed there working on a new set of games but they havnt confirmed the storys only that they are set in the halo relm

I hope its set in the viewpoint of say A marine fighting the covanent or something like that

Whatever it is I know bungie can do no wrong :D

  • if they had a view point of a marine or an ODST that would be pretty awsome

  • If they tied in halo wars the first 3 halo games and there new project Epic saga indeed

  • And we have a winner.

  • bungie lied to make a suprise halo 4 and i think its possible that there are going to be a halo 4

  • Yeah, it's possible (anything is). THe only problem is that a Halo 4 is very, very, very, VERY unlikely. You remember the ending to halo 3?

  • ay you never know i have haloo 3 i saw the very ending were he was he was in the other half of the ship but if u read the book it says that the half crash landed on onyx (ghost of onyx) home to the spartan 3 project and home to the scientist who made cortana

  • Uh, dude, stop assuming stuff. He never landed on Onyx. A whole bunch of other spartan II's did, but the master chief didn't.

  • if you play the ending on legendary, then you can see that chief and cortana live, but only the arbiter made it through. however after the chief freezes himself, you can see that the end of the ship that there in is going toward a glowing object (probably onyx).

  • Win Halo 3 on Legendary... It gives you a lot more info

  • it wont be called halo 4, bungie is making a new series called halo :chronicles.

  • it wont be called halo 4, bungie is making a new series called halo :chronicles.

  • Bungie isn't making it.

  • r u srs fuuuuuuck i was looking forward to halo chronicles!!!!! if only there was like a campaign in halo where you lead all these spartans instead of marines. :(

  • why not?

  • Honestly, I think that halo 2's plot and setting are more involving than the thirds.

The quarantine zone is a great example of this. It's snowing, it's dark, the soundtrack's great, the Forerunner structures mold beautifully with the map, etc.

  • anyone notice that Rtas (aka Half Jaw) is a southpaw?

  • the arbiter dosent hate rtas, theyre friends, rtas just got pissed at the arbiter for failing to defend halo, but hes over it

  • sweet ty for uploading

  • I seriously hope they bring back the White Elite in Halo 3, He's like the alien sergeant Johnson

  • I know!

    R'tas is awesome.

  • they do, but the arbiter hates him

  • he is thethird player in online co op

  • no he isnt

  • i wonder how the marines fought off the horde of flood

  • read the halo graphic novel.

  • lol its more like how they got massacred by the flood. read the novels, thatll tell you

  • Marines suck against the flood, they easily get assimulated. The Covenant and Chief, and Johnson are the only ones to deal with the flood.

  • You can download it at HBO's website, but this is recording a computer screen with an Xbox 360 plugged into it.

  • how get you the video
