I think this is from the demo cause all through halo 2 campaign we dont see the pelican legs in the back but in the E3 demo we see a pelican land with the legs (I think some of the features in the demo were better. So was the mission)

A scareb is just a cheap modded tank + banshee (ex. when at drive seat it says "press E to enter pilot seat of scared" PILOT LOL)

the model is a pelican but the driver seat has banshee tag for master chief to drive but banshee tag is a mod so it is modded so when u get out u cant get back in

This isn't "loaded onto the banshee" it's a modded pelicain, it is possible to edit the pelician's settings to make it flyable, if you don't edit it, it will say things like "flip banshee", but that's just how Bungie made it, they expect people getting into Pelicians, so they didn't consider changing that.
