  • robert Plant the magic...

  • It's fun how Plant with a beard remember me of the King Theoden from the movies.

  • This was so hard to watch... seriously. Plant seriously just emanates that he's still got the soul he had back then with Zeppelin, and if it had been JUST Jimmy page on stage with Robert, they would have changed it up from the original version and improvised a little, most of the way through it seemed like Robert was trying to push it different ways, but it felt like his band was fighting him. I also think Jimmy page alone could have offered the intensity of the band he was playing with.

  • @GuitarKylePlays Plant still has the soul for this song and blues. He is not fighting the band. That is his gift. It is not hard to watch at all. If they ALL never got together and played this song live it would sound like this. I think that it is amazing. You do make a good point about Page. It would be Way more intense as it has been in the past..

  • @slick3xexx Yeah, I'm just saying that to me it feels like Plant is trying to reach for the same magic that he'd tapped with Zeppelin, but the band he's with isn't up to par. They're all way better musicians than me, but yeah..

  • @GuitarKylePlays Of course Plant is, That is the magic of Robert Plant and page, Rock on my friend.

  • He is 63 years old and still rocks HARD. If anything, I think that this version (with him older) is as good or better when than when he was younger. The band lineup is different, but in a good way. The 1970's was a very different time than 2008. I love and respect Zeppelin. Robert Plant pulls this song off now incredibly.

  • Angel voice! Classic!

  • WOW!!!! Robert Plant kicks ass. I wish I could see him perform someday. Amazing!!!

  • This is awful... I'm not gonna dislike it or anything, but personally I think led zep's version is tighter, the guitar is better, the drums are better, and Plant's singing is better.

  • Is it just me, or does Robert plant look like king Theoden? (LOTR)

  • I really like this performance of this song, I though his vocals would suck, but they were great and the instruments were even more mood enhanced than the original in my opinion. Great job to the whole gang.

  • vocals sound really good.I was thinking maybe thats why no zep tour.I thought maybe Robert was worried he couldnt do those great songs justice.After.you have to have a great voice and great range to pull it off.He still had it as of when this was recorded. They couold still do it.but i know it will never happen

  • i. love. this. song.

  • his voice is still awesome

  • Damn that thing at 6.00. It only good no one else got that..sort of.. I dont know, slap me.

  • Absolutely pure of voice 40+ years on.

  • @YellowMangerCalling

He gives a great rendition here, and as an owner of a few Led Zep bootlegs, I can say that this is the best version I have heard outside of the studio version IMO.

  • @YellowMangerCalling I thought just the same when he started singin' >)

  • gay ass halford on the drums!? o shit, whats wrong with this picture?

  • Robert Halford is on the drums!

  • I love the stuff Robert did with Strange Sensation. They are a bit off center. Put their own twist on everything including the Zeppelin classics. Not in a bad way at all. This all coming from a Zeppelin purist. They didn't stray too far on this one though.

  • OOOooooH......This was Good!

  • MOST EXCELLENT!!!!! ROCK ON!!!!!!!

  • plants voice is good.... but isn't the guy playing the acoustic guitar playing the song wrong..

  • @Woody10719 It is ROBERT PLANT with Strange Sensation backing MR.PLANT so he is NOT playing it wrong as it is the way he chose to play it as well as Robert Plant accepted it that way.ROCK ON!!!!!!

  • @MrMegaFredzeppelin thanks fred

  • I just need to see Led Zeppelin, and than I can die.

  • Jimmy should be there..in stead of that dude

  • gosh... his voice!! my jaw...is on the floor....

  • Not, that's not the same as Led Zepps, Plant's voice isn't as good as it was with Led Zeppelin!

  • @jabko33 But he sings it different and if not better as well as the primitive versions... ;)

  • @jabko33 Well........no shit!! The guy is 60 something years old.

  • holy shit! well done.

  • Strange Sensation aint no Led Zeppelin - that's for damn sure.

  • Authentic.

  • unico e incomparable!!!

  • from behind and from afar he looks like sammy hagar

  • For stairway to heaven, "In solo work or with other groups, Jimmy Page would not let anyone but Robert Plant sing this, but he does play it as an instrumental on occasion."

  • I love that this is in Serbia !!! Any country that can have access to great music like this is freer than those countries where the governments clamp down on such expression. Philadelphia Freedom indeed.

  • I loved this album and concert. I wish he would've made another album with the Strange Sensation.

  • still the greatest...

  • Why a gibson j45 and not the martin d28?

  • I think plant sometimes suck at improvising..

  • @kirkhammett110919901 Well...then i think u suck at thinking...

  • freakin great, great band-Strange Sensation-fabulous-best album in years with them-this new country/folk crap is awful!..but i love this man Robert Plant-i dont care a damn if it sounds faggy.F.U....i love this guy,his special gift of song of lilting grace, sounds that caress my ears..for years and years-all my life!..god bless Robert Plant!!

  • His epicness never leaves him. Everytime he performs and pulls of his powerful vocals, i just sit here mesmerized.

  • aint jimmy but its still good !! *****

  • Master of all rock gods.

  • lol at the fucktarded crowd trying to sing along

  • @BuddyWillis jealous? Buddy niwit

  • All hail theoden king!

  • Robert has a moment of awakening at 3:41.....oh shit Jimmy is not playing.....!

  • @funlover2283 That momment for me, call me a fag, but was kinda emotional. I bet he must of been thinking about John Bonham, JPJ and JP back in the good old days, back in 1969 when they were ripping it across the world. I bet you he must of been thinking about his oldest friend John Bonham, and how he use to bang those drums to this song. Robert plant looks tearful at that momment. Percy, the Zepp fans are here and ready to Led it out lol!!!

  • @funlover2283 The look on his face was exactly what you said... hahaha!!!

  • @funlover2283 yeah. haha

  • You know I don't think its fair that Robert uses other guitar players to play Jimmy's work. Its kind of mean. I wonder if Jimmy is pissed.....

  • Living Legend

  • Awasome! That is STILL Robert Plant doing what he does best. Look upon his works ye "mighty" pop stars of today,......... and despair!

  • That's the stuff.. GENIUS!!!

  • this was why i learned guitar purely to play this song

  • Thank you Anne Bredon. Thank you Joan Baez. Thank you Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and John Bonham.

  • A replay, always with the same pleasure ... The years passed, God rest ... Thank you !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • waauuuuw....i always was a Zeppelin fan and i always will be...talking about talent ,still the best!!

  • i love you Robert, you re ever the best!!! LED ZEPPELIN forever!!!

  • Still has IT :)

  • love ya robert.ur the best!

  • he still has it

  • maldicion eres mi idolo!!! a tus 63 años y cantas de forma sin igual!

  • O and by the way I got more musical talent than youll ever have :) lol

  • Lol im on my way with a fresh hot meal dont worry crackhead lol....yo kid get off my cock :)

  • Robert Plant is "THE KING"!!!!

  • More than 40 YEARS... 4 DECADES...!! and this music is still ON... Will anyone remember Bieber and his disposable music in 4 more days???

  • @gdhgeorge I hope not.

  • Respect the original

  • Dat dude singing really fucks up the tone of that song smh....someone get that homeless guy a meal smh

  • @steveolive214 I don't know if you're a troll or dumb or trying to make a joke but I'm just gonna say that "dat dude singing" is Robert Plant, the lead singer from Led Zeppelin. He wrote this song and he can perform it how he wants to. He may look homeless to you but he still has more money than you will ever see and he has more musical talent than you'll ever know.

  • @Shun101010 That's SIR Robert Plant :)

  • this is probably the coolest man on earth, with Keith Richards. And he's alive, not like Hendrix, Morrison or Cobain!

  • all the hairs on my body just stood up XD

  • Dulzura y fuerza en una armonía tonal perfecta. Una letra que lo hace posible , es sin lugar a dudas uno de los mejores temas escritos en el rock de los 70

  • i love how Robert couldn't stand and sing calm to a Led Zeppelin song :)

  • There is a 2 cd disc set just called Led Zepplin. You can get it from Zepplin's or Robert official website. It has the most haunting version of this song in a small room in b/w and to watch Robert in that Black outfit Hot Damn!. I also was able to order it from Hastings. Page plays a set that you will hear throughout their career. Bonzo does his solo.It kicks ass! A must have for your listening enjoyment of the great Led Zepplin. But Robert owns the stage in the song, "Babe I'm gonna leave you"

  • Hey robert, come back to exit festival next year and maybe bring along.....oh i dont know maybe jimmy page, john paul jones and..uh jason bonham. no big deal, right?

  • His voice is just as awesome as always, but damn he is looking rough! He needs to get rid of that facial hair, he looks scary scruffy! Cool to see he's as passionate as ever, more so in fact, in his singing--better than in Song Remains the Same video concert. He gets better with age :)

  • IMPRESIONANTEEEEE

  • Thanks for posting!

     Love me some Zeppelin!

Even if it's only one member on the stage.

  • 14 people have been abandoned

  • Hot!

  • I'm more Jimmy Page than Robert Plant

  • @bersk8board Me too! When watching Song Remains the Same video performance (own the original video), I asked myself, if you could have one or the other, which would it be? I've always loved Plant's sexualizing of the lyrics when he songs, sounds like sex to me, so I was surprised to find myself choosing Page over Plant. Did you like Page in it Might Get Loud? He makes same facial expressions now as he did in SRTS video. :-) But here Plant gives a much more passionate performance than Page.

  • @gmj2012 yeah man, like he was awesome on it might get loud! but like in all Zeppelin's I prefer Jimmy Page.

  • @bersk8board Definitely, me too. I can't take my eyes off him in SRTS concert video I have. Love that I can watch him on computer too. Wish they had a more recent concert video, equal to Pink Floyd's Pulse, do you know of any other concert videos they did after SRTS???

  • @gmj2012 no...

  • plant je zakon

  • His voice isnt as strong.....sad.

  • he still can rock.........time has been more than good to him ...has he been knighted?

  • He is still fucking EPIC!!!

  • Its a shame that pepole grow old. You dont haveto hide your thoughts about plant. You can see he's not the same anymore but does he have to? he's what, 68 or something.

  • @GodammeTalfan It is a shame. I would have loved to have seen him in his prime. Much, much respect to a 60 something year old man who can get up there and still blow the doors off this song! Amazing still.

  • God.. What a incredible aged face this man has... 3:40 .. I'm not gay or anything but that guy looks better with age

  • Absolutely phenomenal... his voice is still superb and his stage presence is exactly the same... modern generations are incapable of creating this level of art

  • that was so cool , thank you so much for posting this made my day!!!!!

  • at the beggining it sounds like hes just warmin up compared to the end. Hes still the man and always will be

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • Considering he's in his 60's now, I can forgive those god aweful man boobs.

  • @CrappyApple001 Dude if you smoked that much chronic in your life......you're gonna get some moobs. I would rather party with Robert Plant than the president. I hope when I am 60+ I am still jammin and feling this alive.

  • LA VOZ ! ESTAS IGUAL ROBERT !!

  • THE VOICE REMAINS THE SAME !

  • @TheAngeNoir7 nem de longe parece a mesma

  • 1. go to my channel

    2. click on the video " Page and plant babe im gonna leave you solo only..

    3.. watch and incredible solo"!

  • Robert Plant For everrrrrrrrrrrrrr....Awesome voice!

  • He tried so hard to distance him self from the Zeppelin thing over the years and forge his own identity and to some degree he did... but Zeppelin was so freakin epic

it will always be the biggest part of his identity IMHO.

  • Dark have been my dreams of late.

  • he's still got it!

  • One of the best live versions of this song ever performed. Class is permenent

  • HE CAN SING AMAZING STILL, I FUCKING LOVE ROBERT PLANT. I'M GOING BACK TO THE 60s & 70s

  • Robert left 13 bitches...

  • fucking great but im so sad to watch this!!!! this was the first video i watched that wasnt led zeppelin all togehter!!!! they were fucking awesome!!!!! and im glad that they still play their music even if they arent together!!!

  • I'M GOING TO SEE HIM AT BONNAROO!!!!!!!! :D I WILL BE BAWLING THE MINUTE HE SETS FOOT ON THAT STAGE!!!

  • @bonzo971 I hear ya. I'd lose it too!!!

  • I SAW PLANT AND KRAUSE AT WAMU OCTOBER 2008 AND HE WAS JUST A TRUE SHINING GENIUS.He talked about "leaving his footprints" around the corner meaning of course the Seattle Kingdom in 1977!

  • I hate to see people saying robert plant can't sing like he used to. voice would change as one grows older. it's a matter of fact. no one sounds the same after fourty years gone by.

  • @elnrz Not to mention a portion of those years spent snorting, smoking, and drinking. But I totally agree with you man. I think this video is testament to the FACT that Robert Plant is STILL an absolute singing sensation. He's brilliant.

  • Fucking greatest arrangement of this song i vote it better than original version for sure

  • robert plant has great vocals even without the high notes

  • I Want This Version On iTunes!!!

  • nobody like Jimmy and Robert!!

  • Greatness

  • This is so good! My favorite Led Zepplin song. The man still has it!

  • Quem ressuscitou esse velho? Ele continua cantando igualzinho! PQP!

  • Magical

  • I love you Robert Plant

  • love that version¡¡¡

  • Robert Plant is on Jesus' Ipod..........write it down

  • @Louisvillebilly - FACT.

  • @Louisvillebilly He cannot be on the iPod. Robert Plant actually exists.

  • Prelepo

  • Where the hell is Jimmy Page!?!

  • Clive Deamer on drums

  • I find it both awesome and ironic that all of the lore and imagination that was in their songs made me think of all that old medieval stuff...and now he looks like one of the dudes that'd be a king or something.

    He does look very kingly.

  • @HeadRage Half their songs were about Lord of The Rings because Robert Plant read Lord Of THe Rings and was really into it lol

  • extraordinario por siempre..........

  • Ever notice that Robert Plant nowadays looks like the blond King from Rohan from the Lord of the Rings movies? or is that just me? Theoden I think his name was!

  • @sexxyjeff yes its true, exept Theoden was a made up king while Robert Plant is a real king

  • @sexxyjeff theoden lol

  • @sexxyjeff the guitarrist looks like Aragorn more...

  • @sexxyjeff it's awesome/ironic cause he loves tolkien

  • Comment removed

  • @sexxyjeff Plant is King!

  • @sexxyjeff Yes, he is. He's (is and was) that beautiful medieval Anglo-Saxon type of blonde beast :)

  • @sexxyjeff hahaha yeah he could be him haha!

  • @sexxyjeff Oh shit that is funny as hell. He really does look like that character. He still rocks though.

  • @sexxyjeff oh shit ... he does... but it doesn't make him any less fuckin' dead sexy....given the choice, tho, i'd rather fuck Robert Plant than King Theoden. that's just me hahahahaha......

  • @sexxyjeff its just you. he looks more like the hermit in the Led Zeppelin 4 album cover. all he needs is the hooded robe and lantern.

  • Ever notice that Robert Plant nowadays looks like the blond King from Rohan from the Lord of the Rings movies? or is that just me?

  • check out Pink's version of this, Live, surprisingly as good as this but not as much soul

  • ahhh beautiful!! There is a GOD!!

  • ahhh beautiful!!

  • Jesus Christ! Its father time come alive! Plant your body ages, but your voice is young forever.

  • Around 2:57, anybody else hear Plant channeling Arthur Lee there? That "well oh well oh well oh weeeeell" sounds like somebody else...I know Plant was a huge fan of Love, but I can't place where I've heard that before. I thought it was from House is not a Motel but I didn't hear it there. It might be from Skip Spence from Moby Grape, too, but I'm pretty sure it's Lee from Love. Now this is gonna bother me...damn it...

  • this is cool... the thing is, when plant sang this on the studio album, that was one of the most amazing vocal performances ever... from the sound of this though, he's still got quite a bit of that... i'd rate this version as very good, and the zeppelin studio version as 'epic.'

  • jao sto nisam bio tu :((
