All these remarks i read about others hating downie has nothing to do with his skill or performance becuase his stats speak for themself. Gudbranson is a rookie trying to proove himself. Mr. Downie on the other hand has 3 Canadian gold medals from the u-18 and team Canada tounrnaments ,2010 Team Canada 11 IIIH F World cup of hockey team member. In 2011 downie and his teamtes took on the Boston Bruins in the Eastern Confrance finals, loosing in the seventth game to the 2011 Stanley Cup Champion Boston Bruins.

Eric G will neevr be a 50 point getter with over 200 pims. But i do beleive Mr.Downie has already accomplished that.

I'm pretty sure the crowd was cheering so much because they knew it was Gudbranson's first official nhl fight, Not simply because it was a fight...Just like the energy when Jovanovski scored...We're exited to have him as a Panther, again... Its a pride thing. Yes we cheer simply because Its a goal and a red light flashes, a horn sounds and loud music, and yes we cheer simply because its a fight, but many of us aren't simply aren't fairweather fans and are very aware of the names of these players

short players shouldnt fight taller players if they are smart, because if the taller one has you on the tip of his reach, you wont reach him when you throw punches, so you will prolly lose depending on how he knows how to fight... you might not lose but you wont win.. now flame me im wearing my flameproof suit

Indeed, hockey is fighting, and that's a crowd in Florida. They would disappear if the fighting goes away, and so would me as well. That's why hockey is struggling in Europe. No fighting = no hockey.

And the stupid people pouting about the fights should stop, as some enforcers committed suicide. Mind you they had off-ice-issues, and much time away from the game.

By all cause, I like the Panthers, what Tallon is doing might soon bring a championship to Florida. Hopefully not too soon, as that would make a very dedicated fan-group in the good times, and a fan-group that disappears in the bad. For me the Panthers is the second team I love in the NHL, and they have hands down the best third line in the league.

I am one of those 10, 000 and have been a season ticket holder for 11 years. Most of the crowd knew the game of hockey so don't judge people's knowledge just because they live in Florida not Canada.
