this is fabulous. i totally love it !!!!! i remember purchasing this as 45rpm when i was a teen, and the beginning 2 mins kept skipping..so i took it back and got another one and it skipped also..i loved vinyl but the only drawback with vinyl was sometimes you would get a vinyl recording that would skip or would be a tad warped.

my understanding is that it is the song made it to the top-40...that is the distinction, as we all know the top-40 is basically 3minutes max and to consume a good part of a minute with a single note is the unusual part. I had to ask my parents to stay up late to watch it but I was hooked and hypnotized from the first note - WHY hasn't this brilliant gem of a TV special been reissued on DVD - cmon! Brings back great childhood/disco memories!
