  • beautiful tune i love it

  • still sends chills down my spine after all these years...

  • What a nice song

  • A great one off "Child's Adventure" i think,, that fucker got stolen!!! What an album,, will have to get it again sometime...

    A+++

  • This is around the time Marianne hit rock bottom. In Faithfull [her autobio}which is truly an amazing story. Baroness daughter, convent girl, rock star girlfriend turned heroin addict living on the streets in London. I am glad she went into treatment and came out the other side. I used heroin for nearly 11 years and in 06 I came to California for treatment myself. Vagabond Ways is my fave Faithfull album at the time. She really inspires me. Great day to you all- Eric. ;-)

  • Another one of my favorites from Marianne,, I think it was on "Child's Adventure" and it was just a hit that I never could put down. Glad to have it on here!!!

  • LOVE the Olivia Newton John look in this video - I was a stoner at the time this album came out, and I do not remember her looking like that.

  • It s the first time I hear Marianne F. I discovered her thanks to her appeareance in Ab Fab. She is an amazing artist, and this song deserved more attention in her time.

  • Ab Fab is a great way to find musicians, lol. I can attribute most of the musicians I like now to that show.

  • vraiment bien!

  • MERCI!

  • One of my favorite Marianne Faithfull songs.Thank you for posting it!

  • Thanks for posting this. Love Marianne and this great song from the 80's.

  • U R VERYS STRo ng ! Maria, I don´t anyone girl from 22 IN THOSED dAYS

  • I love Marianne's music ever since I was a small kid

  • Is there a clip of this song from the TV Show The Equalizer especially the end credits of a particular episode. I forgot the episode's name.

  • Haven't heard this song for 22 years. Sent a shiver down my spine cos this is exactly how I used to feel when I was in the world, I was always running and I was never getting very far, and one prison really did lead to another prison. Reading a previous comment about Marianne having cancer made me cry, something I NEVER do these days (run out of tears!) cos someone I know very well died today of cancer so it just hit a bit of a nerve.

  • I fell in love with her voice when I was a kid. The funny thing is I have the same voice with a chicago accent.

I hope that Marianne is doing allright. Cancer takes a toll on your body.

    Love'ya,

    LadyDemocrat

  • Her voice with a Chicago accent? I wish you could post a recording of your voice on this site - that sounds interesting. I'm also in Chicago and (hopefully) have lost my accent. (Ain't for lack of tryin', ya know)

  • It is "tuneless" because the lyrics are essential to hear in the verse, then you have the "tuneful" chorus.

This is an exceptional song. That's why the fucking album was named after it.

  • I think the l.p. is called "A Child's Adventure." I was lucky to pick up a mint vinyl copy of this record yesterday.

  • This Song is one of the greatest ever....

  • Now there's a song in search of a tune - and failing miserably. She's had better moments.

  • In Marianne's defense, she does tunelessness very well and has turned it into somewhat of signature style over the last couple of years: Sex with Strangers, the Serge Gainsbourg cover and the song she did with Ulysse. It's more like... half spoken...

  • This is hard album to find. Marianne is the GREATEST!!

  • Marianne, Marianne, lost again.

    Somehow beautiful, just like Brian.

  • I know! I'd never heard this one.... it's awesome though

  • So surprised to find this here! :D Fabulous!
