  • thank you. It's easy to follow for a beginner like me

  • thank you. It's easy to follow :

  • Go ahead, i keep this message as an evidence of your threat....

    lmao

  • Oookay... Don't worry you'll finally meet someone who'll make you happy. Forget about this b*tch.

  • oh and iagree that this vid sucks...

  • Man , you 're unbelievable! i can't count the number of comments you've left about aiki's video. OK u prefer JKD, why not, whatever ,icould say that in front of my AK47 your art sucks and it's true. i know ur not a kid thinking he rules the world by trolling, you're an adult doing this... you're perfect, don't change a thing!

  • Mostly in Aikido you don't use that kind of footwork, stepping back. You do mostly Irimi or entering or mostly Irimi and Tenkan.

  • 1) God doesn't exist.

    2) God hasn't to do anything with Aikido.. -.-"

  • Whatever, you're just another kid that thinks he rules the world by using stupid comments.

  • 1) It's not a skirt

    2) Aikido works on the power of the oppent

    3) You use brutal force to fight with someone who practices aikido? 90% you will be defeated.

    4) It's not a girl sport at all, you don't want to face me, I know a lot of gribs, even gribs which are used to break arms and legs in times of need.

  • Yes, garbage will never be practical, you're absolutely right! Well, if it is the right kind of garbage, then you may be able to make use of it. So garbage may be useful after all. Good comment by the way. I had a lot of fun with it.

  • pushups and squats are not used in combat, but doing them prepares you for combat.

  • Aikido never and will be a competition martial art. It's purely for self-defense;solely can be used to stop a fight, not startin a fight. The name aikido described itself.

  • its not alsways if u do a martail art u goof in atteck or defence but it give u a good feel and not so scary

  • dude tell me then <how you will defend your self (using aikido) agains boxer ? I know you will say - i will grab his arm... - but threre is one littel fing<if you face norm boxer you will never grab his arm - its to fast

  • quick jabs and low roundhouse kick beats aikido students..

aikido has only sitting and standing techniques for they would rather not be rolling on the ground with one opponent while the other is free to attack.

therefore judo and jujitsu ground techniques are good also.

btw. dont learn martial arts just to prove you can beat a friend.

  • there are no rules that an aikido student has to follow because it is for self-defense

in a life or death situation, anything goes

all else is just a sport

  • You do have to follow some basic rules, which won't be pronounced. But you cannot use Aikido for fun.

  • what style should I learn ? my friend knows aikido and i need to beat him up. (not in a bad way but in a fun way) hes kinda fat and im really small and skinny compared to him so i need a stile that can easily take down a big fellow. PLEASE HELP!!

  • i don't do aikido myself so i don't know if my advise is worth much. i would say "using his weight against him" might be an idea. and im sure i don't have to remind you of the basics: only use aikido (as well as any martial art) in defence, never in attack!

  • Try Jujitsu or Judo, they incorperate more ground fighting, which Aikido doesn't tend to focus on very much

  • Any style will teach you how to grab a finger and bring a fat man to his knees, or a wrist lock for that matter. You wont have to resort to throwing him then.

  • ummm...if u wanna take him down definitly jiu jitsu.. then use a submission until he tap's.

  • Judo definitely...also it wouldn't hurt to know wrestling moves but judo for takedowns

  • it goes slow in demonstration. In truth, when used in defensive purposes it works too well. it hurts extremely.

  • It looks so cool when he switches feet with the hakama. It disorientates me if that's a word.

  • one two cha cha cha

  • interesting!

  • wow- its really neat watching this, i take wing chun and what he says is the exact opposite of wing chun philosophy. for exdample when we walk- all the weight is in our back leg and we dont cross our legs as we move foreward or back. exactly the opposite of the aikido shown here! also we make ourselves like a box facing our openent- shoulders parallel, again exactly contradictory to what is shown here! very interesting.

  • I am guessing your weight is on the back leg in Wing Chun so you can kick with the front leg? Having the smaller profile makes perfect sense to me(less of an area to attack).

  • both stances (shoulder vertical to opponent vs square to the opponent) have their advantages disadvantages- its just two different styles. and yes our weight is on the back leg so that we may kick with our front leg.

  • i know a aikido master and she is very old

and she has the highest rank in aikido

    and she even met O'sensei

O'sensei is the one who made aikido

and died at a very old age in 1969

i think he was around in like 1890's or 1880's

or sumthin like that O'sensei was like bruce lee and was known for being a extordinary martial artist

alot of video games copy his look

alot of people copy bruce lee's look also

    same with jackie chan

  • Does this influence youre balance?

  • it looks like hes doing the electric slide!

  • lol!

  • wow

  • looool this is great! reminds me of the cha-cha though xD

  • Bang!

  • my sister has brown belt

  • I had a yellow belt I still practice when I can

  • Hmm...

  • danngggg
