This is sad that we think it's okay to terrorize people for nothing more than being Hispanics... some of you may believe you only are targeting ILLEGAL Hispanics, but the fact is, this targets ALL Hispanics, because unless they have their forehead stamped with their status, you cannot know, and this is precisely why hate crimes against Hispanics has doubled in the last ten years. Any time you can get a criminal off the street, that is a good thing overall. The streets and communities become safer, and no one can argue with that. There are numerous cases where people commit crimes over and over, and if somehow you can put a stop to that, I am all for it. In the case of illegal aliens, if deporting them is a deterrent, then its a good policy.

We can use illegal immigrants for free labor once we imprison them. Prison gurads can take them to farms to pick potatoes and berries at no cost to the farmer, they can be used for human experiments and they can be used to repair highways at no cost to the states.

I'm all for 287g but I don't think that Americans should deport illegal immigration. Undocumented aliens have worked to hard to get here. They want jobs so I propose creating massive prison camps Guantanamo Bay where they can work until they cant work anymore.

I do like 287g but I have reservations about it. My main reservation is that we already have a great number of laws on the books to cover immigration, if those existing laws are not followed, why should we suspect that 287g will be followed any better?

that was good, i agree that something needs to be done about the racial profiling because it seems to be a reoccurring theme in America. First its blacks, then the japanese, and now hispanics. but yeah the law is good but i think there should be some checks on how the law is carried out.

@ibilldavis But this 287g allows for racial profiling. It means you can be nothing more than simply Hispanic and be suspected of being illegal and allowed to be targeted and harassed. That is unacceptable in America to be targeted for the color of your skin. If you are Hispanic, you can be asked by an authority figure for proof of citizenship, and that is wrong.

Even if you are not directly affected by this 287g that allows people to be targeted for the color of their skin, even if nobody will pull you over and ask for proof of citizensip... there may be another law down the road that WILL target you.
