  • Folks, here is Madeleine Albright herself, *admitting* that - it was because of the "failed" Clinton Agreed Framework that N Korea has these Plutonium235 nuclear bombs that they've been setting off this past week!! [what follows is the original link to Albright's own words] Google this title -see how Clinton and the democrats fully armed N. Korea with these Plutonium235 bombs: FLASHBACK: Albright: North Korea 'Cheated' on Clinton Nuke Agreedment

  • I wished these idiots would answer one simple question with rational and relevant facts to back it up. How does North Korea pose a "grave threat" to national and global security?

  • Well, they've shown a willingness and capability to launch medium- and short-range missiles and attempts to launch long-range missile -- all of which can carry a nuke warhead.

They can hit Alaska with their missiles.

Add in that D'ohBama's stupid enough to kill National Missile Defense, even though Bush got it to work, and we're left open to nuclear devastation.

Is that clear enough for you?

  • You just gave me the laundry list of neocon talking points. Russia has nukes that can reach Alaska. So what? What would North Korea gain buy launching a nuke at another country? If it did, it would be instantly obliterated. What is to gain from that? Does it occur to any pea-brain neocons that North Korea is worried about being invaded so they developed a nuke as a bargaining chip. They know the USA won't dare attempt to pull an Iraq on a country armed with a nuke.

  • Yeah, but Russia's not stupid enough to actually launch. Even when the commies were large and incharge, they knew they'd get blown away too.

Kim Jung-Il is unstable enough to think he can actually get away with it though.

It isn't the stable man with nukes on his belt that scares me, its the unstable man -- like Kim Jung-Il.

  • What would he gain from launching a nuke? He has gained a lot by just threatening his neighbors. In fact HW Bush and Clinton gave him lots of goodies. So what would he gain by nuking another country?????????????

  • Give it 100 years and you could produce a nuke in your bathroom. The progress of modern day technology makes it impossible to control these weapons.

  • Good job North Korea! Do what you have to do....focus more on developing more nuclear weapons and missile technologies to protect your country, secondly, sell these technologies/weapons to get much needed financial resources to develop your economy and help your people. Just IGNORE the nazi war criminal u.s of ameriKKKa dog barking.

  • I don't know, hype. I've seen journalists instigate a lot of fights, no matter the participants or the body count. And CNN has some of the best instigators in the business. Of course they won't gird this on, alone.

  • Does anyone get the feeling that CNN is posing to create a war in North Korea? This footage is very similar to the threats and propaganda we got before iraq... Should be be worried?

  • N. Korea and Iraq are very different places because the Koreans are hella tougher than Arabs. AQI hasn't been able to kill even 2,000 coalition soldiers a year (compare to circa 60,000 in Vietnam).

Even without nuclear weapons the toll in the Koreas would be tragically higher. If you think that CNN can engineer a war like that you have been smoking too much "Manufactured Consent."

  • this will start WW III

a very short one sided war but a war nonetheless

  • We set the example: ramp up a nuke program and acquire weapons without reason. Seek power not cooperation. Shock and awe. Overwhelm the enemy -- terrorize him, so that he cannot fight back. Can we really blame any country for following our lead?

  • no we should just kick their ass

  • As insane as Little Kim may be, even he knows he's fucked if he uses it against ANY other nation.

  • As always, the Lil fat Leader of North Korea puts on a dog & pony show to get the US to give him free food

If the USA was a nation led by smart men, they would refuse giving them free food

Without the free food supplies, North Korea would have to shut down its poppy growing or else implode as a government

Once again, American meddling in foreign affairs is bad for everyone!

  • NK has been firing off missles since I was stationed in Sout Korea 10 years ago. There are plenty of defenses to stop the missles if/when they are fired with intent to do harm. NK knows the will face hard retalation if they hit SK, Japan or US.

  • belligerence implies that one party has authority over another. when did america have legal authority to mandate to any other nation.

  • When that other nation refuses peace talks and instead is strident about their nuclear weapon and missile technology.

  • Well, when he amassed a large supply of nukes. Seems a bit unfair that a few nations get all the nuclear weapons and the others aren't allowed to develop them. Either way, many people in America foresaw many of the nuclear issues before we hit Hiroshima...so really, whatever nuclear threat arises, we had it coming.

  • They have legalized dog meat as a legal produce. You do realize that.

  • What exactly is wrong with eating canines?

  • What would your response be to a person in India saying "do you realize that the US has legalized cow meat?" Horses meat is also eaten in many countries around the world. Take a step outside the US culture and reexamine.

  • Heh, actually Pigs are smarter than Dogs ;D

  • They are protesting because they want more DOG meat

  • "A country that continues to defy the international norm---the international law."

    Like America?

  • Defies international norm, international law... If you had to pick a country based on that who'd it be?

    Here's a hint: You can't spell it without "U" and "S"

  • "beliigerence" thoroughly and completely enabled by the incompetence of the bush administration.. now Obama has to deal with this, too.

  • Let's show these jokers what a real nuke is like

  • I don't want to sound like I'm defending North Korea, but I find it hypocritical that a country that accounts for 45% of the world's military spending, and has actually dropped nukes on an opposing country, can tell another country what the can or can't do.

  • i dont think it's hypocritical at all

  • What do you think the US would say if another country asked us to stop developing top military projects?

  • I know on the surface it seems hypocritical. But think about it: We have dropped nuclear bombs. Twice, to end a world war and prevent millions of deaths. We haven't since. Even despite the Cold War and Vietnam. We've shown the world that even when we don't achieve our military goals (like in Nam) we don't use nuclear weapons. The world knows we are responsible with our nukes. N. Korea on the other hand is belligerent, and has been ever since it's beginning, and they keep doing this shit.

  • Would you agree that the US could be also considered belligerent?

    From the NavyTimes:

"In the past month (april '09), warplanes released 438 bombs (over Afghanistan), the most ever."

  • Yes, we are belligerent. But NOT with nuclear weapons.

  • I agree that in a sense it is hypocritical

but only if you ignore the surrounding issues involved in North Korea's government

  • Missing the big picture here, my friend. A lot has happened between the first nuke dropped and the situation at hand.

  • should anyone be worries aboutN-korea... i mean... they fail at everything. They can't even launch their "satellite" propperly

  • I wouldn't count the Koreans out. After all, we laughed pretty hard at Hyundai even though I do realize that it's a S. Korean product.

  • just like LG phones? also south korea

i don't even think north korea has a propper industry that exports to the world

  • I had an LG phone and it performed better than Motorola.

  • We laugh pretty hard at Hyundai, present tense, because they're rubbish.

  • Somebody didn't get the joke then, as their market share in the US is the highest its ever been and their luxury model, Genesis, was named 2009 Motor Trend Car of the Year.

  • 2009 MT Car of the year? I think not boyo watch?v=iHt1RRA9LJ0. As for their market share, well, there's no accounting for taste is there? The Genesis is decent I'll grant you but one mediocre luxury car isn't enough to make up for all the rest of the shite KIA, Hyundai and their ilk flood the market with.

  • Sun Tzu - All war is based on deception ...

Are you getting your information from the idiots that invaded Iraq based on "Weapons of Mass Destruction".

  • Exactly....everyone should question everything these assholes claim.

  • Are you kidding me

  • Yes.
