  • Its like New years

  • tears n goosebumps :)

  • I think that the greatest accomplishment of the Obama presidency occured, the very moment he was elected,& even if he would be considered the greatest, the worst or anywhere in between, pres. in U.S. history, I'm not so sure that whatever he or anyone else did,no matter how great, wouldn't pale in comparison,to the transformation that occured on that Nov. evening in 2008. It was an idea that's time has come(unstoppable),and Mr.Obama was the vehicle chosen to fulfill its' expression. We are One.

  • Whether he is a great president or not,we never have to feel that the glorious victory and feeling we had, that the whole world shared, was in vain. We ,as one,in the USA,together, with the entire Planet Earth, announced to & throughout the Universe something extraordinary. In grand celebration a new paradigm was born,in that very instant. If we think about it,I bet the vast majority of us would never again doubt that a Black man ,a woman,or anyone else, can become the pres. of the U.S. We shifted.

  • If Mccain had won, the Dems would have blamed him for failing to jumpstart the economy, exactly the way the GOP has done to Obama - McCain, Rommney, Hillary would have done NO BETTER - their is PLENTY of money in America, business and banks are just happy to SIT ON IT rather than invest it since no one is purchasing - their is the problem - the only entity that can jumpstart spending is the gov't and the last thing the GOP want is for Obama to succeed - they'd rather see people starve first.

  • Worst mistake we ever made, wont happen again

  • @HalfLucky Like a Republican would have done any better give me a break

  • @HalfLucky Let's see if McCain ever came close to doing half of what Obama did for the US.

As if the republicans would use $500 million to save the economy and not use it for themselves.

Obama's a WAY better pres. than Bush ever was, to be honest. Let his kids hear what you said. Good luck with that.

  • @KJaishiteru96 Listen, you're young and stupid. When you grow up you'll think the way I do. McCain is a war hero. Obama is a zero. Half the shit you said didn't make sense so.. ya.

  • Comment removed

  • This is just silly. How stupid must these people feel now. O-BA-MA lol, how is that "Change" working out? $15,000,000,000,000 in debt. Wooo!

  • @WhistlingTube

The debt isn't obamas fault, it's the previous administration that is at fault

  • @iRentallyMetarded Actually, if you know your numbers Bush left $10,000,000,000,000 and Obama has increased that over 50% in just 4 years, so yeah... Obama is on the same track as Bush.

Plus, I was more concerned about him publicly making promises like "The first thing I will do is bring the troops home, you can take that to the bank!" 4 years later they have brought some home while sending more to other countries. Just so he can say "I brought the troops home" in 2012! Liar.

  • @WhistlingTube

True, sort of. I hate obama and bush, actually.

  • @iRentallyMetarded They are both one and the same my friend. The only person I have actually seen run for president in my life time that I truly believe will make a difference, i.e. end the wars, balance the budget etc is Ron Paul.

  • @iRentallyMetarded Nope. During the last 3 yrs we borrowed on avg, $4 billion each day. That's far in excess of the $1.6 billion per day during Bush's 8 yrs (who until Obama, had borrowed more than any president)

  • @WhistlingTube 12 trillion of that is Bush's FAULT!

  • @WhistlingTube RIGHT ON MAN! Finally, someone who isn't drinking the koolaid. These Obamafied idiots are scary. Or maybe just dumb asses.

  • That would of been alot of angry people that night, if it somehow went reversed

  • @seanofthedead90 Not dumb at all it's kind of hard to do stuff when you have republicans in congress that won't compromise and come up with very partisan legislation in an attempt to make it look as though they are doing stuff.

  • @sbach6153 The Republicans have passed close to 20 bills in the house this year that would effectively create thousands of jobs and cut taxes for small business owners. But Harry Reid kills them when they get to the senate. Look it up because if your getting info directly from Obama, then you have no f*cking clue what your talking about. Pat Toomey actually offered several billion dollars in tax increases, but the Democrats said they wanted more. It's the Dems who wouldn't compromise.

  • 3 years later- occupy wall street :/

  • Congrats! You chose recession and you lowered your calification to AA+.

  • @dangerousbeatle u mad

  • @dangerousbeatle I would take that over a great depression.

  • @dangerousbeatle Well that's life

  • @btaylor9661 u mad

  • @seanofthedead90 i know, seriously! lmao

  • now lets do it again in 2012 (:

  • dam bush must feel like shit now

  • I remember watching and taping this in my dorm room...historic night all over UCLA!!!

  • That count down was like ringing in the new year all over again, but this time it was the nations farewell to the shrub.

  • That was the single greatest night of my life to realize that my vote actually counted for something (due to the fact that Bush was elected again even though we voted it felt like we lost it was just misery) But even though you feel the way you do, you gotta admit this is something we may never experience as a ppl again

  • all that celebration and look where it got them: forced healthcare reform, turmoil in the east, and no economic stability after three years. meanwhile, the president's spent two full months of time on a golf course...but, i guess it wouldn't be much different if mccain got elected.

  • OMG! I still get tears when I see this...

  • I WAS THERE. THAT WAS JUST AWESOME WHEN I SAW HE WON

  • That must have been one of the best moments in you people's life :-D

I'm a white English girl and the thought of everything makes me tear up...That night gave me faith in people!

  • what a feeling that must have been.

  • @pink00zofo It was amazing!!!

  • I still cry for joy when watching reactions to the official announcement - and I still respect and admire the man as much as I ever did. He's got a tough fight, but he works tirelessly and has one singular goal: be a President of the people. Now if Congress could just get out of his way....

  • it's a shame..there was a positive trancendence..racially, but not politically..he's the same old politics with a different colored face..but, the racial latter climb that was achieved is sure beautiful and worth cheering about.

  • I get goosebumps everytime i watch a video like this.

  • I was just about to comment on GOOSEBUMPS

  • @bentla17 yeah me too.... my gosh... :) ^^

  • I wish someone had a video on youtube... haven't found it yet... but the reaction from the Fox News area during the moment Obama was announced. I've seen the MSNBC and CNN but not FOX NEWS... lol, their asses must've been chapped.

  • ;-D

  • You lucky mother fuckers.

I'm in the Air Force stationed at Luke AFB.

Where is that located, you ask? Arizona. McCain country.

  • who went to the inauguration??? I DID THE ENERGY WAS INDESCRIBABLE

  • this is like the emotional end of some intense film. But we are just beginning!

  • The relief I felt that night...that America had another chance and the 8-year nightmare we've endured would finally be over...I just cried and cheered with so many others. Looking forward to the Inauguration.

  • Nah,

You know it's historic when everybody in the WORLD is celebrating.

    Yes we can.

I am so proud of america... Ive never been more elated... I will never forget that night. :)

  • You know its historic when EVERYBODY in the country is celebrating.

  • Exactly. I live in New York, and I was watching the t.v. about 5 minutes after he won. I didn't even have to look at it. I can hear the screaming from the t.v. I was so soo happy =]

  • I LOVE these videos! I don't think New Year's Eve 1999 had this much cheering!

  • holyfuck i never thought they would be that happy. i thought theyd be like. o

  • God. I will never forget that night. Not in my entire life.

  • great moment! Congratulations to this video's poster!

  • lol It was amazing!!! Glad I could be there!

  • beautiful historic moment in american history, and the most amazing thing about it is, that some of the people who lived during civil rights time and walked with dr. king are still alive today to witness this historic day in american history, they probably thought they wouldn't see the first african american president in their lifetime but they did and we did and for them it must have been truly a joyous day and victory, dr. king would be proud, yes we can and yes we did, O-BA-MA, woooo, yeah!

  • Maybe the most beautiful moment I've ever seen.

  • A NEW DAY. DEMOCRACY LIVES AGAIN!

  • it did'nt affect me untill now that im looking at the first black president.......winning by a landslide,i wish my grandma was alive for that

  • Un.FRIGGIN.believable :D :D
