  • @ top comments section: I don't give a rat's ass if you call it house music, breakbeat, fuckmonkey or shitstorm. It's great music. So chill!

  • thumbs up if u found/listened to this on The Looking Glass Wars album =P

  • What genre does it belong to? Hmmm, Im guessing by the classical structure, and the overall sturdy appearence, that it is Victorian House!

  • 3:18 TURN THAT SHIT UP

  • 2:13 is when shit gets real

  • This is so my kind of music.. feels so personal like a beat I would want to make

  • Wait isn't this the Polka?

  • This is Break ¡¡

  • How would you guys describe this sound? To me it sounds like the backing track of a Massive Attack song (and it's amazing). So I guess I'd classify it as triphop without vocals :P

  • when anyone creates a track, record, song ect. they dont do it so it can be classified and fought over, it was meant to be enjoyed and listened to...stop talkin and listen to it.

  • i love the music of Adam Freeland! but this is definitely not house music.

  • Absolutely amazing intro if you have surround sound, love it!

  • thumbs up if this is your favorite house track!

  • I want this to be my theme music that follows me around wherever I go.

  • I've recently been opening my mind to lots of different genres. Somewhere along the way...I guess I happened to gain a liking for certain trance mixes. Never been raving in my life but some of that stuff is good music. To write to, chill to, whatever. Fact is, some of us just get turned off by unnecessary genre placement. People tend to stereotype. I dont really care if this IS house music (Negating comments say otherwise) but it is good. A name is just a name. /end rant. :)

  • I love this track, but please explain to me what the fuck it has to do with house music.

  • Kool ass buzz track.

  • Try telling Frankie Knuckles that this is house music & see what he says.

  • stop being douche bags and listen to the song man

  • @WeWanTYouRSoLe

    Hooooorrray

  • I love house!

  • Badness & Awesomeness at Once

  • The bassline reminds me a bit of Massive Attack on that track "Angel"... Adam Freeland is a master of music and sounds!

  • this track is dirrrrrrrtyyyy

  • What it is is original music, as with any song that falls into any other catagory. Fortunately thanks to youtube if you don't like what you are you are hearing you can very easily click on any number of links and try something else. it's much less time consuming than arguing about where it fits. I dunno if anyone has noticed but the world thrives on the new, the independant, the stand out.

If every artist made music with anticipation to fit in a genre, music would never change. as with life.

  • This is break beat, not house... cunt.

  • @SessDMC this is MUSIC

  • absolutely amazing track !

  • Yeah, this is absolutely NOT house music.

  • you heart HOUSE music? nu uh. change that pic cuz this has nothing to do with house

  • Love Freeland! Love this track! But what does the chick say every so often (like at 2:11)?

  • I feel like im in the Matrix!!!

  • naaa!

    cool track!

  • They play this at the MUSE concerts when they are setting up

  • This song creeps me out after hearing it in that Amnesty waterboarding ad.

  • I still luuuuv this song...XD

    Ahhhhhhh.......

  • thats not house imao

  • As a DJ, I do get a bit anal about genre categorizing, but I don't remark how it's incorrect. I like to better understand the roots of the song. Usually you have one main genre and a sub genre. Like Electro House. Or Acid Trance. If you been around awhile, not only will you understand what these terms are describing sound wise, but they also tell a story of how music evolved over the years. So, no this isn't house, per say, but it's got a specific feel to it that rhymes with house.

  • Not that house now and days has that feeling like it use to. But it's still around. Think around 2001-2004, maybe 05 era. If you remember Sasha's Maida Vale Essential Mix, he opened with a song that isn't too far off from this song. This song is way more kick ass though :)

  • Absolutely amazing track. Happy as shit that you uploaded this. : ) tytyty!!!

  • i think this more to electronica not house some music like crystal method sounds a like

  • Man, this is a awesome tack! It's not House but I'm very glad I stumbled across it. Gonna check out more breaks now I think

  • i love my house with music, especially this....most guys trying to make stuff like this just make it sound like a fire alarm or i imagine so lol,im not really caught up in classifying the music, its all music, just like humans they all humans man, culture will die and i see this playing while a video in fast motion shows it, and our evolution happening

  • Well... I like this track but it has nothing to do with house music...

  • Ha just thought the same, thats why i click on it, Break beat baby , with a touch of rock... new freeland album soon mmm

  • @Tanzgetriebe

well it is certainly a good track

but when i listen to other adam freeland trcks (which are also great) i understand in a way why they call this house^^

  • this isn't even close to house music

  • I hate these fannys that anally categorize electronic music into obsessive little categories. Just listen to the fucking music. twat.

  • Us "fannys" are called DJs.

  • Apparently you have to be a DJ, to know your music.

  • that is SO TRUE! not only BE the dj..but feel the music while u listen to it

  • Whilst I agree with you that clasifying all forms of Dance has gotten a bit silly, what with there being almost millions of unnecessary genres now for even the smallest cross-overs, he is right. This is Breakbeat mate. It just helps to determine what style a DJ prefers to play. I love Breakz and I quite like house, trance etc. However, I fucking hate most modern electro as I think it's boring as hell so I'll stay away from sets that the DJ says he is playing that.

  • Point taken, kieranjones99. Just didn't like his abrupt comment. The way I see it, is if you've not got something good to say, then don't say it. The guy's clearly a bit up himself being a DJ and all that. He is American after all... he's probably never met a Scotsman before. We don't like shite like that.

  • Yeah it's quite often a sad fact that a lot of guys who DJ are big-headed twats. I know many who just do it for a hobby, as I do, who as soon as they get in that booth reckon they're an A-list celebrity. It's the people that reckon they're trendy for liking the music as well. I remember being at the Cross in London for a house night once and there were so many people acting like total tossers. Most were on coke which I took as the main excuse for their knobish behaviour.

  • @dimachaerus fucking scots....

  • @dimachaerus: Even if it is abrupt, I don't think it was intended as the in-your-face insult you seem to have construed it as. Also, being American has nothing to do with it, nor you being Scottish.

  • @dimachaerus IM A DJ!!!!! WHOOOOOOOOO

  • Damn straight, everybody thinks they a fuckin know it all lol.

  • @dimachaerus Totally agree, labels are meaningless, good music, not.

  • @dimachaerus I agree, but it really isn't even close to house music heh, love this track been listening to it all week

  • @dimachaerus Exactly, if you want to categorize your music do it with BPMs, been doing that for 8 years.

  • @dimachaerus House is simply defined as another kind of music. Do you also call strawberries a vegetable?

  • @chrixated Yep...we call that Breakbeat! Freeland is one of this style's masters alongside with others who paved the way in the 90's and early 2000's like the Chemical Brothers,Prodigy,Fatboy Slim and many others (these were just some of the most popular back then). Many have contributed to this style, list is too long. But yes this is not House music. Breakbeat for me is a blend between House and Hiphop.

  • @chrixated i put it into the category "good music"

  • @chrixated It's possible he was simply stating he loves house music. I don't see anywhere in the album art where it says he "is" house music, plays house music, etc...

It sounds more drum and bass versus house. Maybe house played a big part in his inspiration.

    Just a thought.

  • sickk ass song

  • esto si es musica electronica buena, es una pena que mil payasadas tengan mil visitas y esto no llege a cien. gracias de veras por subir la cancion un saludo desde andalucía (:D)
