As someone mentioned, this is still not correct. He is not an ABC news anchor, he is a news anchor on Okie City's KOCO-TV, channel 5, which is an ABC affiliate. Also, most people wouldn't admit this, but many locals refer to Chickasha as Chickensh*t. I bet the news people do, also, and force of habit took over. lol

I lived there for 10 years and I would say that's a bit of an exaggeration. While not completely unheard of, I can't remember it being called that more that a couple of times. It's much more common for people to mispronounce and misspell it.
