please could someone explain the term pagan to me- it was my understanding that it is a general term for any religion that is not included in the 8 major religions- but people keep talking as if its an actual name for a religion, could someone please clarify?

@TKane001 it can be both some insist that pagan is an umbrella term that covers many things. Pagan can also be a way to describe any collection or mixing of many faiths. for example I consider myself an eclectic pagan. meaning that i find my truth in many non-mainstream religious paths. I feel to call myself any one thing besides general pagan is to leave out other aspects of what i believe.

There is no particular book of worship in Paganism like the Bible in Christianity. There are many different paths in Paganism. Your best bet would be to look up pagan paths, and see what one is right for you, or if none of them are, create one that is.

Have you heard of the parallel universe concept? Many great physicists and mathematicians think that ours is not the only universe.
