@kagome616 i got Hokuto no ken for my ps2 directly from Japan quite a while ago and really loved to play it a lot. After getting a ps3 and also Blazblue i have to agree. As good as Blazblue is, as much as i love to look at it, play it, i always think HNK is a bit better. if i would rank the best 3 Arc system fighters it would be: 3. for Blazblue, 2. for HNK and 1. for Guilty gear XX on ps2.

@kagome616 Me too, but I'm glad I have both! I don't know why there hasn't been a HD revamp or a sequel - there are so many cool characters that could be added, loads of cool stuff. Hokuto No Ken is a license to print money in Japan - fu*k knows why they dont do it! Kens Rage was a travesty IMHO, I paid top dollar for that wank. I'd much rather ARC had been paid to knock out more HNK goodness VS lame Dynasty Warriors palette swapping.

i know right now this game is out for ps2 in japan and we only have the arcade systems in the u.s. i hope it comes to the U.S. maybe in ealry 08. i mean they have to cause if theyve made all the guilty gear series and especially when they said accent core wasnt coming to the u.s. and it pretty much did in september, then they should have no excuse to release this one in the u.s. if not im gonna be pissed!!!

wasnt this game like ... broken? i saw some footage some time ago and there were things like 100+ combo (no, not specials) that you couldn´t get out off. Or is this a completeley new game?

the ps2 version got a small facelift, eliminating most of the infinite combos and adding a history section. I can only recommend this game, chances of getting an infinite combo are very slim and can only be produced if you are a REALLY GOOD player and the opponent lets you hit him in a special way/stance and is unlikely in versus play. I love this game even though it has only 10 fighters and only one ending for all fighters (my biggest complain).

this game is the shit!! it runs off the guilty gear fighting engine.. so it's really fast paced. The content is based on the series Fist Of the North Star. If you dont know anything about the series.. i suggest you check it out. In fact.. the true way to fully appriciate this game is to watch the entire series (109 episodes!). This game is powerful with the spirt of hokuto shinken!
