  • Name of the song please, btw great vid

  • which CD is it on?

  • I love my t1i but no time lapse yet. You can get an ac adaptor to get rid of the battery issue. Like 35 bucks on eBay. It fits in the battery slot since there is no ac jack on the camera.

  • @Keithwoodhall

didn't know that ac adapter existed, thanks!

  • how does the battery last all that time??

  • Hi! I got another question! If I want to shot the cloud and make a cloud time lapse, should I take a shot every 20 seconds? And i want to shot in the morning for 5-6 hours!

  • Yes that would work perfectly.

  • thx a lot!

  • hi ! i am a new beginer and i have a question about time lapse, i want to ask what tools or softwares should be needed to do a time lapse wtih canon 500D?thx a lot !

  • The camera comes with the software to shoot a time lapse. To put the individual photos together I use quicktime 7 pro. It enables you to open/import an image sequence. You then save it out as a movie, and upload to youtube. It's really easy.

  • thx a lot ,it sounds quite easy! but i can't find funtion in the camera, dose the funtion should be installed by a CD with the camera! thx!

  • You need to install the software on the CD, and then connect the camera via the USB cable. The app is called EOS Utilitly and it has a remoted shooting menu option. You then set it up to shoot at intervals.

  • o ~thx a lot ! i will try it !

  • o~,that mean the camera must shot with a notebook?

  • amazing. this deserves more views. how did you do it?

  • Thanks Slim.

DSLR's come with software that makes it fairly easy. You just set it up, and tell it to shoot a photo every 30 seconds. Stitch all the photos together, and you've got some great HD footage.

Unfortunately, soon after this, shooting another time-lapse I tripped over the USB cable, and broke the port on my camera. I'm sending it away for repairs soon.

  • would you recommend this camera for a beginner

  • Yes. Either the 500D or 1000D would be perfect for a beginner
