    dynoed at 330 whp 15 psi..

    the dsm is my brother.

    was running a 60-1 in that day at 28 psi around 420 hp

    now he is running a sc62 to push 600hp

    as for the neon it was sold 2 years ago . now i am running a

    srt caliber.

And my argument is if Mitsu can barely fit all the vacuum lines, cables/hoses, etc. in the eclipse engine bay with only a 4 cylinder motor, what makes you think they can do it with a V6 in there? I know there are shops that have done motor swaps on the eclipse, but they have things down to a bare minimum like removing abs, A/C, wire tuck, etc.. just as tylerh200 said earlier.

  • @geezy21unc and one more thing when i was talking about 2 different technology's on these cars i was talking about srt-4 neon not that shitty ass mid 90's P.O.S. and yes there boost stock is different in these yrs and the 4g63t doesn't need a whole lot of boost to make huge h.p. thats why we r famous for our evo3 16g turbo might look small but it packs one hell of a fucking punch just at around 16-18psi were over 300h.p. and believe me its enough to whoop on an srt-4 any day

  • @BrendelxD your a fool for listening to dumbasses on wiki . the 420a , ecc , a588 , etc , were chrysler engines . i know this because i have rebuilt them plenty times . and if you have actually ever seen one of these engines you would have seen the chrsyler stamp on the block . the 420a has .5 mm larger intake valves and 1.0 mm larger exhaust valves than the 4g63 . also the ports through the head are different and have a different manifold flange .

  • Talon with a damaged wastegate. They are claiming 30psi because it might be creeping or spiking to 30. Which isn't consistent. SRT4 still hasn't beaten the world record for fastest 4cylinder car. DSM Owns that title still.

Really its funny how morons dont really understand the meaning of import considering more american cars have parts coming from Germany and France while Eclipse is almost 100% if not 100% american made but im getting off topic there. 4g63 was used in the EVO before DSM ever came to be end of story.

    The R/T neons had 420a's....they did share motors, its a chrysler motor..if you take the heat sheild of the exhaust manifold you will see a chrysler emblem on the eclipse's avengers and theres a few more.. The SRT-4 motor is highly identical to the 420a both blocks are almost the complete same and tranny..The 4g63 version was totally different...And to all, the 420a is a LOTUS motor, they scratched it and chrysler picked it up...end of story

    You are mistaken. I owned a 98 dodge neon EX that came with the 150 hp DOHC 420A Mitsubishi engine. I did lots of work on it, and even saw the diamond star logo stamped into the block. the head is different, but yet the same, it's just flipped around so the exhaust is towards the cabin, and intake plenum is in the front. The valve covers were compatible between mitsu's and neons.

  • That is a nice Talon. I used to have a similar looking 93 black Talon AWD w/o power windows/doorlocks and a/c. Mine came with slightly grey rims. The car feels strong everytime I start it in the morning, especially, in cold condition. I miss that car.

  • i dunno man. these lil motors are pretty cable with a little bit of patience, time, money and dedication. my neon flys with the 2.0. i just have a built head with a nice cam. the neon doesnt weigh much, so i dont need alot of power to move. with some bolt-ons, maybe a turbo or spray, they are fun i dont care what other people think. i wouldnt mind havin a awd eclipse or talon to mess with. (i like the body style in the video.) but dont diss the 420a or chysler version. they just as capable.

  • Search the "Chrysler Neon engine" in wiki. Its a 420a. The srt-4 is the only neon to use a dif motor. The neon has the same 420a engine as the non turbo 2g eclipse...

  • Yeah, idk where everyone is getting that Mits motors are in the Neon, they rarely ever are. They come standard with the Dodge built ones. The Talon (Eagle) on the other hand, is more closely affiliated with Mitsi, bc of the fact Eagle was Mopar's "answer to imports" branch in the 90's. So the Talon always had the MITS motor in it, not the Neon. But they're all still affiliated though. (Mits, Dodge, and Eagle)
