  • i don't mean to get off topic or anything but isn't one of the cashiers on iCarly Or is it just me?

  • You all make me facepalm. Freedom of speech has its limits, and when it starts insulting people then you've reached its limits. Same goes for "that's retarded". I should start saying "that's so ignorant fool who can't seem to warp their tiny mind around politics."

  • PROMOTING NEWSPEAK IS A BAD THING MKAY

  • Gay didn't originally mean homosexual. It meant something happy, joyous and festive. As language evolves words start to mean different things. Gay is evolving to mean something else and the only people who are offended are people who are desperately clinging to obsolete terminology in order to label themselves.

Back before the medical term "retarded" was coined, people who had slow mental faculties were called "idiots." You don't see campaigns to stop the use of that word.

  • @dantesinfernal0 goodgame///been saying that forever now thanks!! :)

  • So lets PROMOTE "DUMB & STUPID!" to protect the Gays. :D

  • To GLSEN and the Ad council: now that you have this stupid (gay) campaign out of the way, could you PLEASE start one to make it not OK for gays to refer to themselves as queer?

  • the only thing that i dislike about this is that they keep on suggesting really long stuff to say i think thats part of why people started saying "thats so gay"

  • Favorite commercial!

  • So what happens to the 1st amendment?

  • I always thought these commercials were stupid because I have gay friends who say, "That's gay." Hell even Buck from WhatTheBuck says it too!!!

  • 678 people are filled with hate...

  • it's not taking away people freedom of speech it's just saying be considerate of people around you and don't be ignorant, i can admit it i say "that's gay" also i just need to learn to acknowledge what i say. plane and simple

  • @superemoboyz its people like you who make me laugh... you comment on a video trying to state you're point and like about 50% of or "educated" population you spell a word wrong.

  • facism is no longer packaged with brown coats and black boots but rather in smiley faces and sneakers

  • "Do you realize what you say" "knock it off" oh I just got chastized by a bunch of inane rhetoric. Damn I think I'm going to reflect on my life about all the times I used that phrase "thats so gay." Without television and advertisements how would I know what to think or what to say I guess thats why I'm a Nihilist :P

  • lol

  • Gay's originally meant happy. People started to use it to mean homosexual. Now it is being used to mean stupid not as a way to refer to homosexuals. Why would you get offended at people using a word that originally had nothing to do with homosexuality. It's the word's meaning that is changing. Most people say it w/o any offense meant towards gays. Plus you could be using the money for this campaign on much more meaningful things. JUST SAYING

  • It's not a question of freedom of speech. This ad helps people who may not realize it that what they say is hurtful. Once they understand that the expression they use is offensive, they can decide to continue using it or not. That's their right to exercise freedom of speech, as hateful as it may be. This ad helps people to think before they speak. Nothing more.

  • What a bizarre commercial.

  • I'm gay and the commercial itself is more offensive than people saying that's so gay. Seriously, they make people in the gay community look like a bunch of pissant whiners who cry when people say something.

  • Let me make your public service commercials

  • boo

  • Please visit my channel for the unpopular truth about homosexuality.

A person does not need hatred or any kind of phobia in order to acknowledge important differences between heterosexual attraction / behavior / marriage / adoption and homosexual attraction / behavior / marriage / adoption. Even non-religious people know this.

Homosexual activists, with support from the media, have succeeded at framing themselves as noble victims; it's an effective way to push a social agenda.

  • Omg!! My name is one of those names (Emma or Julia) and my best friend is the other. Haha

  • well everyone that's saying "oh it means happy" lol yeah so if she's like yeah I cant come over to your house tonight and she replies oh that's so happy the other girls gonna be like what the..? No, that's not how people use it. And geez, no one is telling you, you can't use your poor freedom of speech, I could say so many mean things, I could be a sexist, racist, whatever. You name it, but am I? Nope. Because well ha, People that are at least half human, don't have to be mean about everything.

  • Dont say thats bullshit, cause you may offend the feces of a bull. Dont say thats ridiculous, because some people really are ridiculous and cant help it.

What a pathetic concept. Try harder Jews.

  • Nah, all of you are complaining about boo hoo my poor freedom of speech. It's not telling you, you have to do this. It's saying if you care enough don't act like that. Ha if you actually maybe have a sense of human in you. I love the straight people like Shane Dawson, that care about things like this. It shows such good character it really does. It's bullying, but lol racist, sexist, all that stuff, is what you guys are upset about "oh what happened to freedom of speech" I could say so much, bu

  • people need to relax, who gives a shit if someone says "fag" get over it.

  • So I'll offend stupid people if I say that's so stupid??

  • I am amazed at how many people do NOT understand what Freedom of Speech means. It applies to having the right to express political ideas or to criticize the methods used by our government without fearing that we will be jailed or fined for doing so. If you're going to try to use Freedom of Speech to protect your behavior, make sure you know what it means.

  • 1293 drones are for new-speak!

  • Same thing could go for calling a dark skinned person a terrorist.

  • This campaign is double plus good.

  • How long until comments for this video are removed? lol

  • its not bad it means happy like david said

  • So apparently exercising your freedom of speech is wrong....

  • @The505Guys und don't you forget it!

  • @The505Guys , First Amendment rights refer to the freedom to criticize the methods used by the government without being charged with a crime for doing so. It does not grant the right to say anything about anybody, without consequence.

  • @The505Guys It can be wrong if it insults a group of people. Just because you have the freedom to do something doesn't mean it is right to do.

  • @The505Guys Well first of all, the freedom of speech and all the other freedoms granted to us by the constitution go only as far so not to infringe on OTHER peoples rights. Thats why NAZIs can go around having rallies cause its in the Bill of Rights. "Right to peaceful assembly." As long as they don't do anything stupid, they can march as long as they like.

  • @The505Guys let me guess you're someone who thinks it's ok to use the n-word? and you probably think it's ok to call people retarded too.

It's not a matter of freedom of speech it's a matter of not being an ignorant prick.

  • @SuperSmokah Yes, calling someone retarded is perfectly fine, as long as you're not directing it at a person you suspect actually has the condition of mental retardation. And black people certainly feel fine calling each other niggers.

It is a matter of freedom of speech, because in some states, with these BS "anti-bullying laws" students can get suspended or even have charges brought against them for what they say out of school.

  • @SuperSmokah And call us pricks if you want, but no one here is "lacking knowledge". I don't think that being gay is a choice, and in fact, I'm in favor of civil rights for all. But when people call each other gay, they're not actually referring to homosexuality most of the time. People need to realize that language evolves, and what meant homosexuality yesterday may mean something else today, just as it meant "happiness" the day before that.

  • @The505Guys You misunderstood the point of the commercial. You are still free to say "that's so gay". But just because someone is telling you what you're saying is wrong, that's not violating free speech.

  • Pftt gay is an adjective and someone's name is not, idiotic woman.

  • If you're a customer, you don't talk about politics to the cashier that's checking you out. That's bad manners. Gay means happy.

  • I think All need to realize that Even If they're Just Words They Hurt People. I agree yes, but still People Care About this and I think what they're trying to point out is That Bullying is Wrong No matter How you Put it. Its Sad How you all Don't care or give a Damn. Even Though has nothing to do with you, just imagine If your sexuality was being called Stupid Just because you like the same Sex. Just Really Sad.

  • nah people should stop being so PC and vain and get over it, if i want to say something is gay or retarded people should just ignore it, people just need to relax on this whole u can't say that or this, like i get the minority slurs and stuff but this is just going to far, people need to get over labels, they're just words.

  • Objection! The word "gay" means happy and fun, the proper word for a same sex lover/person who have interest in the same sex is homosexuality. I think this site is morededicated to supporting gays rather than telling us what to say and discouraging bullying. Just look at their site, there's offers for you to join a lesbian alliance and all that other shit.

  • @HORRORTV1 what exactly is wrong with supporting gay people?

  • Think before you speak?!

    And what's about if I can't think? :S

  • @DebitelGR Yeah, this is totally bigoted against people who were born without higher cerebral functions, or no head guts at all. We're here, we're brainless, deal with it! Anencephalic liberation now!

  • I like this commercial. Of course, the kids who see it aren't gonna care because there's hardly any kids who don't hate on gays. I always hear kids say "I hate Justin Bieber!" and if asked why they say "Because he's gay!" and it just beaks my heart.

  • @FlamingBlueCats I'm 17 and I don't hate gays. So, looks like I'm one of your first (even though it's not a face-to-face meeting). :)

  • why are gays so sensitive?

  • @B0oR4dl3y Its not becasue Their Sensitive Its Just That If you Think about it, How many people say: "Thats So Gay." I agree With 'FlamingBlueCats'

  • thats such a burn, i love it

  • maybe people need to just stop being so gosh dang sensitive... if someone is proud of who or what they are then they wouldnt care so much about people saying things like "gay" or "fag" cry a river... build a bridge and get the fuck over it!! The whole world will never accept some things for what they are. just be who you are and stop caring so much what others think. LIVE YOUR LIFE!!!

  • OMG THIS COMMERCIAL IS GOLD.

  • @345goob

    I deffinetly agree

  • This commercial is so "Think Before You Speak."

Some people seem to have a really hard time accepting that words change their meaning.

  • heres an idea...if you dont like ppl bullying you for being gay....THEN DONT BE GAY or atleast keep it a secret its seems like we HAVE to accept the fact that their gay...our opinion doesnt matter, but we have to accept theirs.....saying retarded can be offensive because mentally challenged ppl cant help it, gay ppl can.

  • @ 345goob: I can't believe I still read that kind of ignorant comment in 2011. You don't choose to be gay. Period. Read more.

  • This commercial series are the best commercials I have EVER seen. To think I thought the TV industry was going down. I have a HUGE respect for these commericals. When people call things gay, it actually affects people. I have a friend that gets bullied everyday, beaten up, told he's going to hell. Sexual orientation is not something to joke about. So really, anyone who says stuff like that needs to think of someone other than theirself.

  • Silly, irrelevant question, but the identity of the actress who plays customer is driving me crazy...I know I've seen her before, but I can't remember her name or where I've seen her. Anybody know?

  • if gay people were born gay...like retarted people are born retarted i would consider to stop saying "that's so gay". I've thought about it and saying "that's retarted" can be kind of offensive. but saying "that's so gay" is not because people choose to be gay and arn't born with it. *atleast i think so.

  • @345goob I am gay and certainly didn't choose to be so. Luckily, I am now comfortable with myself. Sexual Orientation is the same as eye color, skin color, etc. Would you choose to be heterosexual if everyone else was gay and everyone hated you and called you names and said you were wrong? Just a little food for thought.

  • @345goob

you are so dumb. for real

  • @345goob You don't choose to be gay. You either are or your aren't.

  • @345goob, the sooner you ask gay people if they chose to be gay, the sooner you find out that the answer is no, and the sooner you can rid yourself of this ignorance and fear.

  • Wow, that's so 345goob; "But saying "that's so gay" is not, because people choose to be gay and aren't born with it." ... Uh huh....just like how straight people "choose" to be straight.

  • This is an knock off.

    There's older generations, whose name

is Gay. Or GayLard. Why can't people just

say what they want, and if it's rude ignore it..

  • Okay I completely understand how ''Thats so gay'' Is offencive, but at my school we had a huge presentation for this and now everybodys saying ''Thats so straight'' ??

This is just offending the rest of us now, and I know some people who are gay may care about others saying ''thats so gay'' but Im pretty sure they dont really care considering the fact that its being used in the terms of ''stupid'' not their sexual orentation , its not like we go around saying ''thats so 2 guys making out'' ?? :/

  • i am a firm believer in freedom of speech and will exercise and defend it..so as long as we do have that freedom, i will say what i want, when i want..

  • as long as we have freedom of speech, ima say what i want, when i want..i am a firm believer in freedom of speech and i will exercise, and defend it with my life..

  • my last name is Gay.... .. fml... :-)

  • whrite that the bonde chick used to be in freacks and geeks ?

  • This commercial is so Emily and Julia

  • @allyourbaseman *Emma.

  • I'm all for gay rights, but I'm still gonna say things are gay. The word has grown to have two meanings now...that's just how it is. It's like calling a persons skin dark (which has no negative meaning) and calling a person's personality "dark" (like he's a very negative person). A word, at a basic level, is just a sound. It's the meaning that counts...and when you call something gay, it just means stupid, bad, etc...it has absolutely NOTHING to do with homosexuals.

  • @jms8220 EXACTLY.

  • Morality has always been a breeding ground for lunatics and these commercials only prove that point.

  • nope, I'm still going to say "gay" to mean dumb or stupid.... it now has a double meaning for teenagers everywhere and you can't change that.....

  • What about "that's so lame/retarded/stupid/weak"?

And on another note, I have yet to find anyone who hasn't been made fun of sometime in their life. It's a part of life. Grow up.

    And stop jumping off bridges.

  • In the words of Simon Amstell "Katy Perry's song Ur so Gay. It sounds homophobic but of course she's using the other fashionable use of the word meaning anything generally bad."

  • blah blah blah blah who cares

  • @OurBenefactors Sadly someone does or these commercials wouldn't exist. I'm with you though, these commercials are extremely stupid and aren't going to stop people from using "That's so gay!" They are just wasting money on some failure project that could have gone to a much greater cause, anything else.

  • homosexuality isnt accepted in 95% of the world so why pretend it should be.

  • Your sexuality shouldn't define you as a person, no more than your gender or race. It's almost like the underlying message is that gay people are defined totally by their sexuality. Even gay people have other qualities. Being gay should be one aspect not the primary aspect

  • They're not taking away your "freedom of speech", they are just asking you to consider another person's feelings. Maybe it's just a word to you but maybe it carries more weight with someone else.

  • @sirmeris Exactly! How is stopping hate speech a breach of people's rights?

  • @jafsica I guess some people feel that they should have the opportunity to demoralize and put down other people, but I think this ad is aimed at them, helping them to be better people by teaching them to respect the feelings of others and use their "freedom" tactfully.

  • for 23 years of my life living as a dyke ain't that hard at all...in Philippines where people are conservative, already gotten into their minds there is no such thing as being different...we all have our freedom to live, love & choose who we wanna be & wanna be with in the future...so people who do discrimination like KOBE BRYANT & JOAKIM NOAH to LGBTs have the smallest bean sized brain....

so now it would be THAT'S SO KOBE & NOAH !

  • Please keep on pushing, the harder cultural marxists push the faster their ilk will be thrown out of positions of influence and their sick ideology neutralized, its already happening, the mass of people are disgusted by what goes on in public schools and surveys show that people trust the sleazy mainstream media less every year.

  • You are free to call me what ever you want!! i dont care! cant gay people take the same approach? not everyone is going to accept you straight or gay. i dont think gay people are right in the head but i dont hate or dislike them. We should not be hating gay people instead treat them with compassion. treat them like a handicapped person!!!

  • im tired of the double standard. need i remind people of a little show called 'queer eye for the straight guy'?

  • the hell with this stupid ass campagn, ever heard of freedom of speech?

  • 90% of those gay students just need to stand up for themselves! They should be making these commercials to make people stand up for themselves. There's many meanings of gay so don't make literally-gay commercials against using gay as a curse. Even a gay person I know knows to stand up for himself.

  • @JediJettson21 Unfortunately, it is very difficult for an individual who has been bullied or abused to stand up for themselves. In addition to educating the general public about GLBT issues, it is also important, because they show the bullied people that they are not alone, which makes it somewhat easier to stand up for themselves.

Bullying is a form of abuse. It's often very difficult for someone to stand up to their abuser.

It's time for a change in society.

  • @1Neverending The fact that you CHOOSE to be ignorant of scientific studies of the past ten years proving Homosexuality comes from genetics not through personal choice, is the real reason you are disgusting. Hate should NEVER be allowed in the world. You can dislike the fact that there are gays, it's your opinion. But disregarding known facts and hating people because you choose not to pursue the reason you hate them? Shameful.

  • @dededo101

When they say, "That's so gay", they are not meaning "bright and colorful"

    Think before you post.....

  • I'll use whatever word I want

  • todays society saddens me. I don't think of myself as a lesbian person. I think of myself as a person who just so happens to be a lesbian.

  • Guys, stop with these stupid comments! You're not being cool when you badmouth something or someone else. Shut up, unless you want me and everyone else to say, "Ooh, that's so iDrill2009', or 'wow, that's so TBolt100TForLife'. Because seriously, YOU guys are the ones that are being 'stupid', or as YOU say, 'gay'.

  • The current deragatory term is "no homo."

For instance, a guy might say, "I love that scarf...no homo." It's sad that gender roles and homophobia are so strong that people actually feel the need to clarify every time anything could be perceived as not in line with their gender or possibly something "gay people would do." It shouldn't matter.

  • Words have multiple meanings. I would have assumed people knew this.

  • That's..so..CENSORED!

  • @All The People Arguing That Gay Really Means Happy

Yes? That why have I never heard anyone say, "OMG, That's so Happy." Easy, because they don't mean "Happy." They mean "gay" as it relates to homosexuals.

"Retarded" means that something is slowed or delayed, the meaning of the word changed to include the mentally handicapped. And, yes, it's still offensive.

  • being gay is not who you are it's only one part of you. i'm not known for being straight? if someone asks oh what is she like? people don't say "she's straight" or "she's heterosexual" they explain who i am not my sexual orientation. so being gay is not the only thing about a gay person. this is a stupid commercial

  • this stupidass campaign can kiss my ass!!!

  • This campaign is só Emma and Julia...

  • thats SO cash

  • So if I say "Thats retarded" I'm offending all people with mental handicaps?

  • @pklovestormomega Umm actually yes, you are. That's the exact same thing. What kind of question is that?

  • @pklovestormomega Yes you are. Check out r-word.org for more information.

  • @Chaoticbravo Although the words gay and fag have other meanings that have nothing to do with homosexuality, a lot of people take offense to it when you call something gay. Thats because they are automatically assuming that you're talking about homosexuals.

  • stupid bleeping ad council.

  • I don't see why people have a problem with using gay to describe unfair or bad when we have a plethora of racial slurs and stereotypes already used in common conversations.

  • @Subtalvik2 it's just another one of the slurs and stereotypes. they're all just as bad. they're making a commercial for this particular saying because people don't think it's as "bad" as it really is.

  • @Subtalvik2 So just because people use slurs means we might as well keep adding more?

  • MY SALSA MAKES ALL THE PRETTY GIRLS WANT TO DANCE ..MY SALSA LOOK OUT FOR MY NEXT SINGLE ITS CALLED MY SALSA!!!THUMBS UPPP IF U KNOW WHOS THAT BY

  • How is use of the word "gay," as long as it isn't used to refer to homosexuals in an insulting manner, in any way, shape, or form offensive? I am absolutely NOT homophobic, nor do I dislike homosexuals in any way. But, considering that the word "gay" originally meant "happy" and the word "fag" originally meant "stick," why is it suddenly a crime when people use the words in ways other than the norm? People need to stop complaining. Seriously.

  • wow i thought there would actually be more mature people here. how disappointing...

  • God, help save our country from these commie (oh...wait, that's offensive) thought police. We do still have a First Amendment, right? This commercial would be laughable if it wasn't so scary! These people offend me, so I think I'll teach them that language is a fluid social phenomenon, and that words can have more than one meaning.

I have a good friend who is homosexual. He calls things "gay." If anyone tried to ACTUALLY harm him because of his orientation, I'd throw down in an flash...

  • Flagged as innapropriate hahahaha

  • i think ''that's so lame'' is offensive because it insults the disabled.

  • The next commercial will be ''Dont say No-Homo"

  • This video is confusing. Women not in the kitchen?!

  • I just jerked off to the blonde chick

  • So, stupid.

  • Words change and develope gay used to mean happy then homosexual now stupid. It is a natural evolution of human language with each couple of generations words change and take on different meanings. So I am on the fence about supporting this campaign they remind me of those stuffy instructors at michigan state a while ago who banned the words tweet and pwn and blog. Just because they were old and didn't understand them.

  • Lol it's sad that they actually think that putting a commercial up is going to stop the use of the word gay. When people say "That's so gay" they aren't refering in anyway to homosexuality. I think that some parents just heard something and made an assumption and got pissed off. Besides, it's the 21st century. People are caring less and less about other's sexual orientation. Hell, I've heard homosexuals say "That's gay."

  • This ad is offensive as hell.

You're using Stupid as an insult.

That's offensive to the functionally retarded!

You're using Dumb as an insult.

That's offensive to those that can't speak, eg: THE DEAF.

This commercial is insulting two ENORMOUS minority groups. The functionally mentally handicapped, those who were born deaf and those who cannot speak.

    OR:

You can ADMIT that words can change meaning over time, including the two words you used in your own ad. Think before you make stupid ads.

  • @andros800 "Stupid" means unintelligent. "Retarded," however, is offensive.

"Dumb," does not refer to people who can't speak. Aristotle used that term because he believed Deaf people were incapable of thought and understanding. Also, even if it did refer to not being able to speak, DEAF PEOPLE CAN SPEAK!!! Most simply don't like to use their voices because of the difficult oral training involved.

    Sincerely,

Think Before You Post Ridiculously Incorrect and Offensive Comments

  • Person1: Stop being gay

Person2: What was that? Are you saying I'm a homosexual?

P1: Oh good sir I did not imply that all, I simply meant that you were far to happy for the current situation right now

    P2: Uh.. what?

P1: You ignorant sir, the word 'gay' was normally meant as happy or cheerful, it had no meaning to being homosexual in any way

Now if only every person knew this, so homosexuals wouldn't use a word for happiness for something that has nothing to do with what they are. herpderpmuch?

  • my grandma has a friend named Gaye. (not a joke)

she says it really upsets her when people say that so if you guys could stop then it would be really cool cus shes nice and stuff.

im pretty sure shes gonna die soon tho so just hold off for like a year or two.

  • That's so blonde woman who doesn't understand that vocabulary changes over time.

  • >people try to defend homophobes by trying to argue semantics to try and justify what they do.

  • Gay also means happy but we dont associate it with homophobia why cant it be used as it is? its not even an insult as it is used in this ad

  • These PSAs hinder more than they help.

  • This ad is so worthless, the girls were confused and not bothered in the slightest, was it suppose to have a point?

  • No, I'm not going to knock it off, or listen to your money grubbing marketing campaign for that matter.

Anyone who thinks for themselves already knows that language is ambiguous. When I use the word "dick" I could be referring to at least five different things, several of which apply to this movement interestingly enough.

  • That's so sticks and stones can break my bones but apparently the usage of a word with multiple meanings deeply offends me enough to raise a hissy fit over.

  • This would be offensive if not for the fact that those two ladies were using it in a non-literal sense. Youth culture of today barely uses 'gay' to describe homosexuals (because they told us it was offensive) so they use it as a general negatory term (like the word 'lame')

We are more acceptable toward different people than we ever have been. Stop taking offense to insults slung in no general direction and grow a pair.

  • When you interpret everything literally, do you realize how dumb that makes you look? Knock it off.

  • Think about this for a second: Someone thought this was a good idea to spend money. I mean really. Someone REALLY thought this was a good idea.

He or she (or it) probably works with coming up with an idea to spend money on,

and honest to god thinks this is the best idea to throw money at.

  • People nowadays are too uppity about language.

  • Good thing I have my freedom of speech.

  • Do I realize what I'm saying? Yes.

    Do I care? Ahahahahaha, noooo

  • QQ

  • That makes no sense, in order for this to be true, there has to be someone with the name gay.

  • @HilroyHartley it wouldn't have had the same message if she had said "Thats so lower-class" or "Thats so Woman"

  • @HilroyHartley Gaylord Focker

  • When I say, "Thats gay" it has nothing to do with homosexuality.

Jesus, maybe it's THEM who should up and stop taking everything as an insult.

Grow some self confidence. It's a phrase, get used to it.

  • Perhaps we should try to teach young people that their sexual orientation doesn't define their entire existence, instead of drilling into their heads that gay is "who you are" and not "part of who you are." These PSAs perhaps help discourage bullying, but isn't it more important to build confidence and pride in the bullied?

  • @corporalt4 No our soceity thinks treating someone who has the ability to defend themselves like they cant is the "right" thing but you know just because one person thinks differently there right and were wrong. And mabey they should make the psa's to get gay out of the english language as a slang term since thats all it is i mean its definition is happy not homosexual.

  • @corporalt4 that would be the purpose of the "It gets better" campaign. Multiple approaches to the same problem, going after both the problem, as well as helping those that might be troubled.

  • @corporalt4 You deserve a medal, sir. You've made too much sense.

  • I'm so gay. I thought about it, and I still said it. Am I offended? no.

  • "Thats so Red" means "Thats so Awesome" so i'm safe.

  • And when someting is really stupid, I say, "That is so old woman with Kate Gosslin hair! Everybody says that!"

  • But when they say that is so gay, they just mean it is homosexual and they just so happen to think gay is an insult. It is ok to say that is gay, but what isn't okay is to turn it into a personal attack like that woman did.

  • @orgexy Well not exactly. When used the way it was used in the video it means more like "That's so stupid." Which, has nothing to do with homosexuality in any way. The only connection the two have is that people use the word "gay" to describe homosexuals.

  • This commercial is just a waste of everyones time.

  • that's SO Justin Bieber

  • @iDrill2009 Thats so idrill2009

  • @CatsPajamasFan you took the words right out of my mouth

  • @iDrill2009 lolZZZ! OMG, stop it b4 the Ad Council gives itself another award!

  • WHY WOULD YOU LIKE THISS AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH. I dont understand

  • Always goes to show that you should always think before you speak.

  • technically "gay" means happy or enthusiastic, its the homos who have twisted the word around, its their own fault, besides its a choice to be gay or not, so if they are made fun of then too bad, im made fun of because i have freckles, should there be a commercial about not making fun of people with freckles? besides i cant choose to have freckles, but u can choose ur own sexual prefernce

  • this commercial is waste of time and money.they could at least spend there ad money on a anti- bullying campaign. dont we have the right to freedom of speech? its only an insult if your directing it towards a person that's NOT gay because your calling them something there not. Damn, you got commercials talking about using inappropriate words whats next? a new law that forbids vulger language?

  • that commercial is a waste of time and gay. and saying that SOMETHING is gay is not an insult if its just an idea and not alive. Now, if your calling somebody whos gay that's straight then it would be an insult because calling them a word that there not and they are a living being.please dont reply unless you want a good conversation. im not here to start a war.
