um... cars do not *die*... you might decide not to *repair* them for whatever reason... but they are modules and can be fixed. I would fix a car like this any day, even a major engine over haul, over the newer boring cars now. I have no problem with completely redoing anything on my 87 Sprint Turbo. Already own it, love it, and it would still be a hell of a lot cheaper to repair than buy a new boring car.

Our neighbour had an XT and I still remember how impressed I was as a kid when he was passing by... Such an unusual car! I love it

I've got a 1991 subaru XT6 beater with 4wd and a 5 speed. New clutch and ties, I painted it flat black because it's beat up.

But fuck if that isn't one good car. I run the living piss out of it every time I drive it and it's still running great and starting at the touch of the key at 110k miles. Have straight pipes too :P.

Getting parts isn't really hard... At least I've never had any trouble. It's been a pretty cheap car to own, besides stuff like putting a clutch and water pump in it.
