@ewardah its "sung" smart ass...like you wouldn't say i brung it home you would say i it brought home....ok...'Sung" is known as a participle (ie part of a verb) and it needs it partner (in this case "have") to make it a whole verb.

Sang is a whole verb on its own.

So your second sentence "I may have just sung along to this." is correct.
