  • where can I find the whole lyrics?

  • jasmines tiger is not safe china will kill it for chinese medicine and alladins elephants china will rip out its tusks

  • ching chong chang

  • The Hong Kong Disneyland Song

    (Soon the Shanghai Disneyland Song)

  • @vmtaglepilipinas

    No, HongKong doesn't use Mandarin

  • the translations are very clever! <3

  • Omg ♥ I love how it sounds, mandarin is so beautiful

  • Is it Jackie Chan singing?

  • @NicKimiko

Bullshit!, Jackie Chan is just a crown with ugly sound, how can he sing this song

  • When we write new lyrics for other languages, we should take the characteristics of them into consideration. Perhaps this mandarin version lyrics is not so perfect; however, it is really good to fit the music and keep the characteristics of this language.

  • Odd that instead of saying 'a whole new world' they're saying 'look at the world.'

  • Who is Aladdin voice?

  • @Shaura0 somebody said it was andy lau (?)

  • This Aladdin sounds so pretty.

  • Who is Jasmine voice in mandarin ?

  • This version is better than the original in my opinion and MUUUCH better than the spanish version (I grew up listening to the spanish version because I'm from Mexico but I have to admit this song is kinda crappy in spanish )

  • A whole new world sounds great in Chinese! That's unexpected and fun!:)

  • Comment removed

  • Jasmine's voice is really close to the original. 看這世界 在你身邊 新的感覺 在你身邊 the translation is almost direct from the original one. But sounds weir as chinese. The Spanish version is really good specially the lyrics. And yes the guy has a Cantonese accent or try to emulate one to make him sounds cool, i guess, which a lot of singers do (and I just Hate it). 低su!

  • *sigh* this is the power of asian music xD lol (no trying to be racist :P)

  • Oh wow, the guy sounds so beautiful~ :*:・( ̄∀ ̄)・:*: fufu

  • Omni-lingual haha

  • 我覺得普通話版本是所有當中比較差的...

  • The lyrics may not be as good, but these singers voices are very strong - the man has an extremely handsome voice!

  • omg i think this guy has a canto accent...

  • I kind of agree with the lyrics being horrible. I'm a pure chinese and all it says is look at the world, it looks pretty and I'm glad you're by my side. It lost the beauty of the amazement of seeing a whole new world.

  • Originally, Jasmine was Chinese;)

  • @pinkapacla as was aladdin

  • @atjnAdfhhjea In version with I red, Alladin was arab:)

  • @pinkapacla *witch

  • @pinkapacla *wich, dammit

  • @pinkapacla which*

  • @atjnAdfhhjea Thanks!:D Yeah, you're right, I totally messed up with other fairies. Too much coffie:P

  • @pinkapacla In every single version I've seen, both were chinese, and there was a black guy.

  • @sideim lol dumb wannabe troll, grow some balls you little 12 year old.

  • @xetomg reported

  • @sideim Let us see how gay you sound. If not, stop being a keyboard warrior.

  • even though i speak cantonese, i like the mandarin version better than the cantonese version... the singer sounds more smooth... the cantonese one, both girl n guy sounded very nasal

  • I love this version! I think Mandarin is such a beautiful language! :D

Shame on all of you people who think it's weird just because it's foreign. D:

    Every language is beautiful. <3

  • Ooh I love it in mandarin.=)

  • I think both the cantonese version and mandarin version are good, but definitely think the girl in the mandarin version sings sooo much better

  • I don't really like it.The Chinese lyrics is not as beautiful as the other versions.

  • @Jean50319: Lies! Each language has its own beauty. :)

  • @PinkYachi I didn't say Chinese is not beautiful. I am Taiwanese so I understand Chinese. I mean the Chinese version of this song(the translation) is not beautiful.

  • 二人ともとてもお上手です!

  • This song is beautiful in every language.

  • sounds like Aladin had some problems with the lower notes

  • 淚水悲顏已化成雲煙 love the imagery!

  • @whethalar They did a great job coming up with the lyrics!

  • not the most musical language, but still sounds good :D

i'd like to see the lyrics for this, they probably had to change it from the english version i'm guessing

  • 唱得好,這首歌用中文唱起來好聽。

  • Wow, this version is REALLY pretty

  • Does Aladdin have a Southern Chinese accent? O_O

  • OMG Aladdin's voice is so sexy!

  • Great voices*_*

  • uh, you've got to be joking

leehom is like 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 times better than this voice

  • aladdin reminds me of wang lee hom .___.

  • wa mm tzai- i don't understand-tiawanese. wo ai zhong gou( i like chinese) srry my pin ying is bad i prefer bu pu mu fu.

    Wo xihuan hanyu/Zhongwen (我喜欢汉语/中文)

  • thanks ^^ i'm still learning

  • AWESOME!! beautiful voices!

    綺麗な声ですね!うっとりします/////

  • I don't think it's that bad, i didn't like the English that much anyway~

And yeah i'm Chinese, i understand it.

  • Oh god....I hate chinese dubbers, I feel like they really kill the animations. (I'm chinese, and this is a terrible translation, at least they could get it to rhyme a bit better DX)

  • woot xD i didnt understand anything, because I just started learning mandarin :) but i like he sound of it~ nice voices ^_^

  • haha i don't speak this language, i speak cantanese well barely..heehee but i'm listening to these to learn more

  • I'm CHinese!!! Lucky me !!!

  • 美しい声ですね。

  • srry i dont understand chinese but i am Vietnamese.

  • Kan zhe shijie...this is dreamlike. I like Chinese.

  • I second that. I'm Japanese, and I think there are certain songs that just weren't made for the language. I've heard some good slow songs in Japanese, but for the most part, we don't do so well on dubs of slow songs.

  • Could someone please post the pinyin lyrics to this?

  • This is my fave version. I didn't like the korean and japanese one too much... Very beautiful.

  • I love how Mandarin sounds with "A Whole New World!"

    :D

    <3

It goes great with soft, slow music too.

  • Beautiful. The voice actor for Aladdin is quite good and the one for Jasmine has a very beautiful voice.

  • this is pretty good =) i like aladdin's voice but i think it might've been better if they did 新的世界 instead cuz that would have been closer to "a whole new world"... just my opinion!

  • i think chinese sounds best with slow soft music like this & japanese with more upbeat music,ne?

    thts jst my opinion...

    & i like jasmines voice...

  • who sang it??

  • Arg! why can't I understand a single word they are saying?!?! I've taken Chinese class for 2 years but I guess the accent is too good for me..... :'(

  • Lol probably coz there're no tones and that when sung you really gotta know the language enough to be able to get it. If they had subtitles you'll probably find that you actually understand quite a bit. A lot of it is beautiful poetry lyrics anyway.

  • Sayuri462, it`s pretty normal to not be able to understand the Mandarin in songs.

I`ve spoken Mandarin since I was little, and I`m still unable to interpret what they`re singing.

The reason for this is because the tones of the words get taken out, and you really only get the sounds of it.

Don`t fret, I`m sure you`re really good at Chinese. :D

HOly shit I didn't even know that XD.

  • Can someone please...PLEASE post the link of a high quality mp3 version of this one. I want it, because it sounds that beautiful, so again, if anyone has an mp3 version or what not, please pm me, I would appreciate it ^_^

  • I really like this version ^.^

Why talk sooo many people about the different languages in the videos???I mean all languages are beautifull for this songs ;-)

    5/5stars

  • aladdin is more aggressive in the english one. though i do like the end where they're talking about a "new feeling". for some reason it sounds dirty to me in mandarin

  • XD Dirty?? Like perverted dirty or dirty as in bad dirty?

  • HAHA!! Wow. Never thought about Aladdin like that :P

  • I like the english version better. In the english one aladdin's like "I CAN SHOW YOU THE WORLD" and in the mandarin one hes like "come look at the world"

  • omg! im studying mandarin and I only understand the word "WORLD" XD

  • Me too! XD

  • i do not know why but i feel that mandarin was always the softer and smoother version. It sounds better to me than the Cantonese version

  • I like the Mandarin version 10 times more than the Cantonese version. Sounds much softer and I understand neither dialect.

  • I think Mandarin is a softer sounding language and Cantonese is harsher and that's the way it is.

  • If you don't like mandarin, why do you watch this? x__X I think mandarin/cantonese are very cool. I want to learn it, but I'm learning Japanese, French and English right now so that's enough for now xDD

  • what language do you speak?

  • Swedish :3

  • Ops I was on my friends account, but I speak Swedish x3

  • Oh My God! I really love Aladdin's voice in Mandarin. Jasmine's voice is always beautiful.

    I love it<333

  • Is is just me, or does Aladdin sound sexy in Mandarin?

  • I have to admit it!

  • mandarin sounds more romantic in the song "a whole new world" remix

  • I love Mandarin. *__* It's like the French of the East.

  • Why did someone give my comment a thumbs-down?

  • ah nevermind c:

  • I like this version better than the English version, is that werid?

  • It's not weird. I feel this way too.

  • cool but aladdin and crews are never be chinese! only saudi arabians! dont take my word! its good video

  • I dont know which is better, canto or mandarin versions xDDDD I love both!!

  • ....MP3.... please? XD

I'm trying to find one for my partner and I for this Chinese karaoke thingy.... hahaha

YOu can just direct me to one. =3

  • I noticed the lengthy debate about Cantonese vs. Mandarin and maybe it's just because I don't speak any Asian languages, but I can't even distinguish one from the other. I don't even think one necessarily sounds better than the other (especially in Disney, sometimes one version is amazing and the other is ok, other times it's the opposite). Are there any obvious clues that indicate whether something is in Cantonese rather than Mandarin (or vice versa)?

  • Mandarin is the national connecting language of China and Cantonese is widely spoken in Hong Kong, but it is the standard to know Mandarin. These two languages are quite different like Spanish and English for example. Mandarin has fewer tones than Cantonese making it sound more smooth in comparison to Cantonese with to outsiders may sound more harsh or with more rhythm.

  • Lol yes...they're different enough to be considered separate languages, similar like spanish and portuguese...but that's just my "unexpert" opinion of the matter. I speak neither dialects.;)

  • Well... the way I see it... yes I read the whole thing. It's not even a debate. It's one-sided pounding of a clearly linguistically trained person vs. non-linguistically trained person.

losgatos805 said it all in the beginning... in pure Linguistic sense Cantonese, Min, Mandarin, etc are "languages" based on the mutual intellegebility. However, when you add politics and all other worldly concerns, it effects legally whether one is a language or a dialect.

  • I can hear the singer sing it with cantonese accent

  • I feel it was sung by Arron Kowk

  • far from it. im not saying the singer is better or worse but its just not.

  • wow i love it.

  • i looove the chinese version! beats the french version by faaaar

  • lol I love it in chinese it s funny (well in my way lol in my language -french- it wd be funny)
